True, but the reason the show lost its appeal is not all Drew's fault. It doesn't have any production value anymore. Bob Barker is (note the verb tense) a treasure. He goes back to the 1950s, with another game show ("Truth or Consequences") that he also hosted for a long time. Bless His Heart!
+Lone Wolf That's how game shows work. Giving up guaranteed five grand for a tiny chance at 10 grand is indeed a hell of a gamble. I watched it and thought 'damn, that's YOLO.' If you watched it and thought he was being reckless and dumb your opinion is just as valid as mine.
+Lone Wolf Thank you for the edited reply. I know how easy it is to get heated on the Internet. I misunderstood your post. I thought you disagreed that his choice was a ballsy as hell gamble instead of being reckless. I can respect that. I understand now that you believe that game show winnings are all 'found money' and cannot in principle be gambled with. I disagree. He was guaranteed to walk home with five thousand unearned dollars or a small chance at ten thousand. That is a gamble and he won. If he lost I'd be the first to laugh at him as he gets beaten about the head with a rolling pin
+Eric Sloss Lone Wolf's (edited) post in this thread was originally insulting. He cooled down and changed it to a plain explanation of what he thought, which is rare on TH-cam so I put thought behind my reply and he didn't reply to it. Not replying in a TH-cam argument is like saying "OK I get your viewpoint" so even if he still disagrees there is no beef between us. If you and Lone ever visit WA I'm going to roll a giant completely-legal-here Peace Blunt and you're both going to smoke it.
+Lone Wolf I think Eric Sloss actually is done because he deleted all his posts in this thread, which is also a way of saying, "OK, I get your viewpoint" in a TH-cam argument. The offer of a mutual peace blunt is still open =)

Bryan: *wins $10,000*
Carletta: *immediately forgives Brian*
They were newlyweds.....
"Oh, Brian, Brian, Brian!" Then...BAM!!! $10,000 schmackaroonies!
Bob Barker is (note the verb tense) a treasure. He goes back to the 1950s, with another game show ("Truth or Consequences") that he also hosted for a long time. Bless His Heart!
Bob was the king of gameshows!
My hats off to Bryan. That had to be the most gutsiest decision of all time. Well played sir.
+Lone Wolf It was a hell of a gamble.
If I could live in the 80’s the rest of my life I’d do it.
This guy played this game like a BOSS!!!!!!!
Even if The Price is Right continues for another 46 years, I am pretty confident in saying this will be the greatest moment in the show's history
Sadly, the only moment Bob Barker seems to remember is the tube top girl from 1977.
Louisville, KY Huh. He must have gambled at the Kentucky Derby. He really is a gmanling man.
I think it's safe to say that Bob Barker's microphone is every bit as iconic as, say, Freddie Mercury's. Just my opinion.
Or Gene Rayburn on Match Game.
I played sick too! I was very young and I loved The Price is Right.
If I gave up the 5 grand my next card would have probably said $0.
Miguel Rivera Jr there were no $0 cards. You would have gotten $50
A $0 card is the closest you'll get because they won't have a braindead jackass like u compete!
ky le thanks Gandhi.
Unless you have a friend in the production department like Brian.
Story of my life
They need to bring back that "Woop WOOP WOOOOP!" sound!
$10k back then was like a down payment on a nice house.
I loved it when the "WHOOP, WHOOP, WHOOOOP!!" would go off!!
Brings tears to my eyes. Man I miss my grandma
Wow!!! What good luck!!!! And Bryan looks like such a good guy and he deserves it!!! Blessings to Bryan and his wife. What a beautiful memory they can share with their children and grandchildren. Beautiful.
it always cracked me up when bob would open the card, close it real fast and be all "oh brian....." act all sad and then show how they got the big money, never fails to put a smile on my face
There will never be another like Bob Barker. He was that show! I grew up watching him when I was a boy. A true legend has passed. He's with the Lord now. We'll miss you, Bob!
He was in another level that drew cannot touch he was the best
In Remembrance to...
Bob Barker the hosted CBS's The Price Is Right, the longest-running daytime game show in North American television history, from 1972 to 2007.
(Born: December 12, 1923 - Died: August 26, 2023) ❤🧡💛🤍
I love it. You have one chance in life to go on a game show. Go big.
R.I.P., Bob Barker. I bet he and Johnny Olson haven't stopped hugging since Bob stepped through that curtain in the sky.
No better game show host in history... and it's not even close. And no one has done more for animals than Bob Barker.... Legend.
WoW !!!
( Mr. Barker, I still miss you as the host of TPIR. I had been watching you since «Truth or Consequences»)
He Made TPIR Famous
I would not want to be him on the ride home if he lost. This man has true courage.
Love Bob. Always brings a smile to my face and heart
Bob is the king of cliffhangers
Ow Brian. Bob was the best at being so personable with the contestants!
Bob Barker is such a great showman.
I remember I would curl up into me mammas side on the couch & watch this & jeopardy before my bed time (:
