This is most definitely your best Video yet. The pacing, the editing and just everything else is so good and entertaining, it feels like you've been making these type of Videos for years now. Dude I hope you know you're insanely talented. I really enjoyed the use of Greenscreen and seeing you talk and dance around really made this more engaging for some reason! The Nostalgia really hit hard whilst watching this, Man I would do anything to play this game for the first time again.

I won't lie I stopped watching because I am gonna play the game at this point and don't want spoilers in any capacity haha. It seems great and I hope the game's devs find this channel and video and that it makes their day, as it should
This game is a gem. We are playing it through again, maybe the 8th time. It has it all, playability, story line, variety of endurinh characters. They put so much heart into the game. Love The Little King Story.
You did a great job pointing out LKS's major strengths here. The distinct voice of its characters, the bizarre and compelling mystery of its colorful world, the childlike joy (and occasional terror) of discovering it all for yourself. Makes me want to write my own review of it for posterity's sake.

Best LKS video advert ever made
I remembered as a child I was scared of the bosses cuz I was traumatized by the game over screen, than me and my other siblings were unsure to fight the first King or the corridor to get to it.
One day my smaller brother continously ask how was the first king, at a certain point I was like "OK, I'm going to show you the king!", then I fought it.
I won on the second time but I remember that moment, it was like I was an hero starting his journey, I was happy.
And i'm happy that I did that.
Gosh, it’s amazing hearing the stories of people making their way through this game as kids :,)

So glad someone covered this, just the other day I was thinking that someone really needs to do this video and give this game the love it deserves. I was lucky enough to play this game as a young kid and it made the experience even more magical. This game truly is amazing and its so obvious how much passion was put into it, why don't we get games like this anymore!?!?. The music for me is the best part, I would honestly say that this game has some of the best music and sound effects out there, it all just fits the vibe so well.

This is a great video. It overall is clear, concise, interesting, and sufficiently thorough.
My uncle had this game, and while I never saw it played I have never forgotten the cover, or the bits and bobs I read in the game manual. I had to sudden urge to look it up. This was a really helpful video, and I'll keep an eye out for a used Wii and a copy of this game. I'm going to have to look into _Fragile Dreams_ next, the other game I remember being fascinated by the case and manual but never having seen played, see if there's perhaps an ardent fan out there who also recommends _that_ game wholeheartedly.
Even before you stated it outright I recognized that you were holding back on spoilers, and I really respect that. You are right, if it's a game we're uncertain about we tend to try to know a lot about it before buying it, and that does indeed remove a precious part of the experience.

NO, I refuse to believe this game is 14 years old! I remember watching my parents play it when it came out and was so excited to play it myself. It then became one of those games I replay once a year for nostalgia and cause it's genuinely fun

Some of the bosses in this game were such a pain to deal with.
I’m pretty indifferent to the Guardian mini-bosses, but this game has my favourite set of main boss fights in any game! :)

You might want to skip on that Vita one. It’s… very not good
You should cover the Vita version and see how they compare and differ! There’s not much info about the differences on TH-cam, and I just happened to pick up that version recently. However, the Wii version looks much more charming and cuter.
I’ve been doing preproduction for a video on the Vita version for years and years now. It’s definitely one of my most requested topics, and as you say, there’s barely any information on it out there
How would you go about making a sequel to the game? What would you add, what would you improve?
I actually think about this quite a lot! I’d love to do a video on it in the future.
In terms of gameplay, I think more combat styles would be awesome! I already love the yin-yang of soldiers and hunters, so some more combat jobs to give the player more freedom in how they wanna tackle the game would be awesome! I also think a Zelda-esque Z-targeting lock-on mechanic would feel really fun if the game was designed properly around it. And as for the world, I think it would be cool to have multiple routes to the same area, some hidden shortcuts and stuff, kind of like how Metroid Zero Mission does it.

Phenomenal video, and you've convinced me. I've always had an interest (because it always looked similar to pikmin to me when I was younger) but never actually played it. I got it on Steam as a gift a while ago and this video convinced me to get up and finally play it, but you mentioned not to play the PC port. Any particularly strong reasons why?
From what I heard, it's because you can find a lot of bugs (maybe crashs also, idk), things you don't have on the Wii version.
Thank you so much! The PC port is mostly just inconsistent. It can run badly, there’s quite a lot of animation and sound effect glitches (one instance sometimes causing an attack with an invisible hitbox). However, if you can cope with that jank, you can still enjoy LKS from start to finish! I’ll be doing a video going more into it soon if you wanna keep your eyes out for that

@@JayMonoto I played the Steam version and found a couple major bugs, including the one that prevents you from playing with your savefile. There's enough people on the internet that played the game and you can find a solution for every problem of this shitty port, so go on and have fun.
I randomly got the urge to play this game again and (for legal reasons) I am totally not emulating it whatsoever and I would not encourage doing so. Then this video pops up :)
The game is a masterpiece and I’m so glad I’m able to experience a game that I never beat as a kid with a new perspective on it. There was so much love poured into it and I only wish there was a good modern port. The vita version sounds interesting, but from what I’ve seen, it lost so much of the love that was in the original

Mr. Deadweight. A question we always has is at the places where it seems like there should be hot spring when you send the farmer instead of making a hot spring the guys all go to it, spin around and it seems like nothing happens. What is this phenomenon??
A geyser! They heal status effects like fire or poison, which is why they’re often found in boss fights with those attacks!
