Just ressurected my Wii after twelve years and it's really amazing finding a video uploaded today with my same search. Feels like nothing changed. Thanks for the tips, bro!
The biggest problem with the Wii is that you really had to search out videos like this which weren't really around when the Wii was out. All the great games were burried under mountains of shovelware.
The Wiiware eshop being gone doesn’t matter. With a simple mod to your Wii, you can download all those games for free now. You should mention that so more people know those games are not gone forever. :) They’re archived now.
One of the best hidden gems on Wii that I shall forever sing praises towards is Conduit 2. The Conduit was definitely a very generic shooter when it came out, and quite repetitive. High Voltage Software definitely showed their prowess in game development with the sequel, bringing far better level design, plot, replayability, gunplay, weapon variety, multiplayer, and modes. Artistically it is a large jump from the first game and really pushed the Wii to the limit. Easily the best first person shooter on Wii unless we count Metroid Prime 3. Definitely a hidden gem and Top 10 game for me.

Great video. Lots I didn't know about, but I can vouch for Cursed Mountain and Deadly Creatures. I also like Geometry Wars, but i feel it's best with a friend.
Deadly Creatures and Tornado look like really interesting titles! I think I may have to get those two! I have loads of great games on the Wii. I might have to make a similar video at some point lol. Great stuff mate.

I get the anger that can come with Shaun White Snowboarding’s E3 presentation. My favorite game of all time is Wii Music, but due to its E3 presentation, people treat the game horribly and with zero respect, when the game deserves far more respect due to how it’s been able to enhance lots of people’s musical skills, myself included. I hope that at some point, Wii Music can get the proper respect it deserves, but I fear that the E3 presentation mixed with poorly made reviews by people who don’t know what they’re talking about will make that an impossibility.
I honestly think you deserve a lot more love and attention for your videos, they are so fantastic and honestly such a high quality! Apart from that, any video you do seems so full of motivation and passion from your side as well c: Just amazing overall!
So often with these video strike nerve and I love the look of a particular game only to discover that it now goes for £100+. Thankfully Murumasa The Demon Blade which tickled my fancy looks to still be a sort of sensible £40. Thats getting bought

Interesting list. Cursed Mountain begins very good and exciting, but just the first "75%", the end is crap and I couldn't finish the game. One game I really enjoyed was Bit Trip Runner. And the Second Version was also very good, played this on the PC. Muramasa, a shadows tale and ivi the kiwi I would like to catch up - but very hard to get or too expensive. :( Also good is "zack & wiki" which is my latest acquisition. :)
Totally with you on eledees! Though i never finished it because it got rather tiresome towards the end, that was one early wii game that really took advantage of the wiimote's capabilities.

@@RetroBreak The 3ds has a few graphical downgrades, but some new UI on the touchscreen, and doesnt have the extras. It only contains the normal games, and touch controls.

Thank you for this video! As a new Wii owner building a mini collection of games, I really appreciate these compilations of lesser know titles. From what I saw, most of them are also excellent for people on a budget, except Pandora's Tower, Bit.Trip Complete, Rodea the Sky Soldier and A Shadow Tale, which I found for princes ranging from 123 to 425 €. 😲
Wow I didn’t know the prices for those had gone up so much!! Hope you can get some of the other on this list and my other wii videos before the prices go up on them too!
A lot of that is speculators chancing their arm and trying to overinflate the vaue of the games. Those peices will come down to something more reasonable onve they realize that nobodies biting.
A Wii game I really enjoyed, that got little to no attention, is Mushroom Men The Spore Wars. Came out towards the beginning of the Wii's life cycle and IMO is definitely a hidden gem.

I had so much trouble editing this one! This was the 5th time I exported it, then tried to remove as many as I could. Think there's something wrong with my microphone :( Hopefully I can find a fix by next week!

I saw commercial of eledees or called elebits in the tv and i wanted my dad to bought this game for me but i didn’t get the game :( so i hacked my wii to played this game i like it but i prefer the ds one
@@RetroBreak Enhanced lighting and a larger render distance at the cost of framerate, Achievement/Trophy support, An UFO hiding inside a damaged geodome in the Area 51 level, wondering Elvis impersonators in the Vegas level. Some of the little humans also had two different skin colors on the PS3/360. The Xbox 360 version also included the ability to play custom music that was saved on the console.
@@RetroBreak I think if a game is in any top 20 Wii list you can find on internet, is not a hidden gem. I'd suggest Batman the Brave and the Bold instead.

There is a long list of mediocre games based on well-known franchises from other media. And there are games like Wolverine on PS3 and X360 that are considered a hidden gem on those systems, despite being based on such a well-known character. So Batman the Brave and the Bold can be considered a hidden gem because it is not a game that usually appears in the console tops. Obviously it is into the Metacritic list you mention because it's a good game. If your opinion about what is a hidden gem is different, it seems respectable to me, but a game like Muramasa, which is in all the tops of the console, should never be considered a hidden gem. I hope you didn't take my comment as criticism of yourself. That was not my intention.
Pandora’s tower is one of the best games i have ever played. Need for speed nitro is cool, but It’s terrible and repetitive, like same 10 races in all career
Bit Trip was always such a solid compilation on Wii. Honestly, Dewy's Adventure on the other hand....is a lousy game with awful controls that *actively* work against the player. It doesn't matter how cute or charming the games premise is and it didn't matter to Konami how much money they made of whoring Dewy out to Aquapods...the game is completely hindered by its pitiful attempt at motion movement and there's simply no way to get past this. At times, the game feels flat out broken, almost as bad as Major Minor. Dewy's Adventure is one Wii game that no one should really ever give the time of day. I wish I never had.
Well i didn’t had any problems with this game i love this game so much it’s so sad that no body knows about this game it’s so cute and everything in this game are really amazing and cute ∩^ω^∩
@@RetroBreak i only got the ps3 version, and i only played like an hour or so, but in general the ps3 can show way more colors in comparison (its for sure more detailed and sharper) the wii version might have some special controls doe😉 i believe i saw a copy at the gamestore in my neightbour town, who sell rarer titlels. Recently they dropped their ps3 and xb360 prices significantly. On ebay the wii is around 20 and the ps3 50. This gamestore is definitly cheaper, i would have to go there, to see if they still have it. Would you be interested? (i go anyway, and all the time😁👍) picked up soul reaver for the ps2 last time

Muramasa has some of the very best parallax scrolling I've EVER seen. It's an example of just how beautiful and mesmerizing the technique can be.

Does the 3DS one have different games on compared to the wii? I always thought it was the same collection.
I think the 3ds one has the same games in 3d but the wii version has additional challenges

Yeah the controls are a bit delayed compared to how the player moves but it’s still a cute and fun game
