    Great video! You answered the eBay standard envelope question I had been asking other TH-camrs but received no answer... how to ship without the card getting returned. Penny sleeve, top loader, and a piece of paper does the trick. I had put in a thin board (comic book backing board) cut to size, and the card was returned with the stamp saying "Non-machinable." The board is too thick. Thanks!

      You are welcome! I haven't had any issues with the card getting damaged when it is just in a top loader. If the card was damaged, cardboard probably wouldn't protect it in my opinion anyways. Plus the envelope is insured, so you can just give the buyer a refund and then get your money back from USPS.

      ESE envelope needs to be under .25 inches...that's laid out in the rules on eBays website. I made that mistake when I started out as well.

    On the .99 lots do you offer free shipping? Selling for .99 is definitely a loss, but I understand moving cards to get sales.

    If the quality of the photo is either blurry & only 1 or 2 photos or have far & away &/or the only 2 angles are slighted a certain direction, these are tell tale signs of a card overpriced compared to condition, but if the quality hd photos aren't there does not mean the seller is hiding something, maybe their a new seller & cant afford the 1000 dollar us camaras, scanners, etc... or they just sell a lil here or there to make a few extra bucks for family vacation, back to school clothes & supplies or upcoming field trips & that's the main reason they sell on ebay (which is legal) & dont see the need to spend 1000 dollars plus on camaras laptops scanners etc... because it's just not worth it for what they are doing on ebay (which is justified & legal)

      I hear you. Obviously every bad photo doesn't mean the seller is hiding something. Just something people should be cautious of. As I said, majority of the time, a phone camera will do just fine. Personally, I am not at the point to buy an expensive scanner. I already had a nice camera, so I make due with that even though it takes a ton more time than scanning.

    Yea great until you ship out a 100 of these. Way too slow

    • @coltonscardboard
      @coltonscardboard  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think if you are shipping out 100 cards, the process should be way more streamlined at that point. You have better equipment, maybe other workers. This was intended for people just maybe starting out

    • @southdaytontradingco

      @@coltonscardboard but why wait to streamline it? Idk 🤷‍♂️. Might as well start out efficient. In case you ever want to ramp up

    • @coltonscardboard
      @coltonscardboard  ปีที่แล้ว

      @southdaytontradingco some people might not have the means to get all the top of the line equipment right out of the gate. Or may just be selling a card here and there and don't necessarily need anything fancy.

    All Cards should be shipped in a bubble mailer (not a business envelope as used in the video). Yikes.

    • @sogregarious
      @sogregarious ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not necessarily, if you're buying $1-$2 cards a buyer may not want to pay $4-$5 for bubble mailer. PWE the way shown is more than fine
