In this video, I show you my strategy for listing cards on eBay and how to
properly package and ship them to your buyer. We go through some listing strategy for setting up a "Buy it Now" listing. I provide an HTML template for beefing up your eBay descriptions as well as detail my method for packaging your cards ensuring they arrive to your customer safely.

Also, when taking a photo of your card or cards, place a piece of either cardboard or paper with a hole for the camera lens to reduce any glare. It’s a great DIY 💯

This was an awesome video. Thanks for taking the time to put it up. I think I’ve gotten it pretty much all figured out now, minus a couple questions:
1. What bubble mailers do you recommend?
2. I notice when I click to get set up to sell items on EBAY, they offer to send me some free shipping boxes (albeit with Ebay printed on them). Have you seen that? Should I take advantage of/use those?
3. Do you advise clicking “accepts returns” or no?
Hey Kingztown24, thanks for subscribing.
1.) I usually go to amazon and search 4x8 bubble mailer. There are a few options now including different colors available for Prime between $6-$9 for 50 envelopes.
2.) I honestly haven't done it before, but I have gotten free boxes directly from USPS. I typically only ship bulk orders or graded cards in boxes so I don't use them all the time.
3.) I would not accept returns. Be sure to be honest and upfront about the quality of the cards and take clear pictures of any issues with the card. Unfortunately some people take advantage of returns and may even try to send back less quality cards then you sent.

You're going about it the hard way you should first search the card you want to sell go into completed items and then hit highest price and then piggyback off one of those ads everything's already set up you could always go back in and make adjustments and add photos..

First time sellers....Read the fine print on the fee schedule. $520 card sold will cost $80+ on fees. (Canada)
ex $520 card+$77 taxes for a total (Yes in Quebec Canada) $597 x 12.9%fees = $77 fees +posting fee... for roughly a total of 443.00 in your bank account.(they fee the taxes.) Read the "cost" that occurs on "disputes" or extra fees on a poor feedback rating.

Hey man this is a great video thanks for taking the time to make it! I recently got into selling cards on eBay. I noticed in the video you have your own business called JP Breaks. My question for you is should I start an LLC and get an EIN before I start listing on eBay? I think that could help me avoid a lot of personal tax but on that same note do I need to collect sales tax for each transaction? If you could help me out, that would be awesome!
thanks for watching my video! i don't think its a bad idea to start an LLC. i have not yet done so as I have not looked into it. if i understand correctly, ebay charges the buyer a sales tax for each transaction.

I’m new to selling but I mainly buy mine bulk off Amazon.
What about when selling bulk lots. I have 175-ish Topps 2020 chrome baseball but haven't listed them yet. RC, Ref, Inserts, Base, etc. Instead of just listing them individually at $5 here $10 there I just figure it will be easier to get rid of them all at once and somebody get the steal deal of a lifetime if this is how they like to sell cards. I figure at a dollar a card regardless I at least get my original investment back from the packs I bought and keep the few I was looking for.
I typically keep my lots down to 20 cards. I would do a rookie lot, an insert lot, or maybe by team? Always good to make your investment back on base cards, good luck!

I order the bubble mailers off Amazon. You can get free boxes off the usps website for larger shipments.

How is a bubble mailer 4x8x8? The width of it is only like 2cm.
It doesn’t matter really. What factors in is the weight so he just left it as is to save time
great video, but I'm confused about the listing being new, because you're a reseller not the manufacturer . please explain to help me. Technicall even if you own and protect it 5 seconds than is that not not new?

Say If a card is sold for $100 what all fees will seller have to pay? I.e shipping cost, eBay cut, packaging cost ect
Shipping is paid for by the buyer. Ebay takes 10% (in the case of $100 it would be $10). Packaging is taken care of by you.

Man I’m glad I don’t have to list and ship cards like that anymore. VERY TIME CONSUMING. Get a auto feed scanner and a label printer and you can list and package stuff in 10x faster than this way.

Add the shipping office dummy. Just require signatory and you'll be all right. Don't waste your money on insurance just package it goodAnd make sure somebody's there to receive it by require them to sign for it

Thanks for this! I have a bunch of autographed rookies from the 80s that I need to unload. Dont have any bunches of team cards I can use for protection filler (re: shipping). so what alternative do you suggest? Bubble wrap?
Just put them in a penny sleeve, toploader and a team bag then into the bubble mailer, its extremely unnecessary to use base cards for shipping filler if you use everything else
After all that packing do you weigh the bubble mailer ? 3 oz is really tough for me to get at...... I’m more at like 9 oz
you are correct, it is closer to 7-10 oz depending on the card (s)
What do you put for the weight of your only sending one card? And is it different if you add those bulk cards around the bought card

Your dimensions are wrong....package isn't 4in x 8in x 8in, more like 1/2in x 4in x 8in.

My question is for these $0.99 cards. I see them selling with shipping for $1-$3... When I go to list something the cheapest first class I can find is $3+ to ship. How do they sell them like this and make a profit after shipping?

you can ship PWE (plain white envelope) with a stamp.

With PayPal and new users, they typically wait for the item to arrive at your buyer’s location before releasing funds. After that, it should be instantaneous upon your customer sending you payment
That was a great video, straight to the point and with lots of good information. I have a order in at psa of 240 cards I’m waiting for, I would like to sell some of them to recoup my fees. I’m a frequent buyer on eBay but only sold a few things like 10-15 years ago. Lots changed! After your PayPal account is set up, which I have from a long time ago. Also as far as tax, you said you don’t charge for that. Any reason? Do you have to pay tax on that income? I would assume not.
From a tax standpoint, you are probably correct. You can setup an LLC and protect yourself that way

I believe there is a way to add tracking to first class shipments for a small fee. This way you know for sure. Probably only worth it on cards worth more than a few bucks. Good luck!
why use bubble mailers over envelopes which are 53cents to ship for a card under 20

Honestly so annoying living in Canada and seeing so many sellers like yourself recommending to only ship to the US when Canada costs about the same or slightly more. We are all ready and willing to pay more but can barely even use eBay these days because 90% of sellers don't bother enabling it... The amount of awesome listings I miss out on every day because it won't even allow me to attempt to purchase with a Canadian address sucks ass.

eBay has recently changed things that it is held in your eBay account. I honestly have to look into it more now as I have been busy moving and not selling as many cards

Would anybody recommend sending cards to Starstock? No shipping for individual orders, low fee of 5 percent once your card sells, 25 cent listing fee but you dont do any work of having to list or taking pics, get paid out right away once your card sells, no scams no bs no cancellations.. if so which ones would you send to Starstock, or Comc, and ebay if wanting to use all platforms.. anybody got any recommendations?
