Also, when taking a photo of your card or cards, place a piece of either cardboard or paper with a hole for the camera lens to reduce any glare. It’s a great DIY 💯
Thanks for this, man. Learned a couple important things here. Just started trying to sell a week ago and frustrated as hell as a beginner with all the restrictions etc.
You're going about it the hard way you should first search the card you want to sell go into completed items and then hit highest price and then piggyback off one of those ads everything's already set up you could always go back in and make adjustments and add photos.. you're welcome.
First time sellers....Read the fine print on the fee schedule. $520 card sold will cost $80+ on fees. (Canada) ex $520 card+$77 taxes for a total (Yes in Quebec Canada) $597 x 12.9%fees = $77 fees +posting fee... for roughly a total of 443.00 in your bank account.(they fee the taxes.) Read the "cost" that occurs on "disputes" or extra fees on a poor feedback rating.
This was an awesome video. Thanks for taking the time to put it up. I think I’ve gotten it pretty much all figured out now, minus a couple questions: 1. What bubble mailers do you recommend? 2. I notice when I click to get set up to sell items on EBAY, they offer to send me some free shipping boxes (albeit with Ebay printed on them). Have you seen that? Should I take advantage of/use those? 3. Do you advise clicking “accepts returns” or no?
Hey Kingztown24, thanks for subscribing. 1.) I usually go to amazon and search 4x8 bubble mailer. There are a few options now including different colors available for Prime between $6-$9 for 50 envelopes. 2.) I honestly haven't done it before, but I have gotten free boxes directly from USPS. I typically only ship bulk orders or graded cards in boxes so I don't use them all the time. 3.) I would not accept returns. Be sure to be honest and upfront about the quality of the cards and take clear pictures of any issues with the card. Unfortunately some people take advantage of returns and may even try to send back less quality cards then you sent.
Awesome video going to be very helpful just getting back into card selling quick ? If u don't have a printer yet for labels what would be the cheapest postage to go with thanks for your time.
What about when selling bulk lots. I have 175-ish Topps 2020 chrome baseball but haven't listed them yet. RC, Ref, Inserts, Base, etc. Instead of just listing them individually at $5 here $10 there I just figure it will be easier to get rid of them all at once and somebody get the steal deal of a lifetime if this is how they like to sell cards. I figure at a dollar a card regardless I at least get my original investment back from the packs I bought and keep the few I was looking for.
I typically keep my lots down to 20 cards. I would do a rookie lot, an insert lot, or maybe by team? Always good to make your investment back on base cards, good luck!
great video, but I'm confused about the listing being new, because you're a reseller not the manufacturer . please explain to help me. Technicall even if you own and protect it 5 seconds than is that not not new?
This video helped so much I’m about to start selling and buying cards but before I do I want to make sure that my cards will sell are their any other tips on what cards to pick?
JP im lost on all this stuff. I've got stuff from 60s 70s and 80s. How do I hire some sports person to come to my house and that the ones that are valuable and sell them?
Thank you for such a great video. I'm trying to help my brother sell some of his cards and this was very helpful. Do you know of any other sources o sell cards other than Ebay?
Thank you for this video. Where is the cheapest place to get the Top Loaders? Do you think a BCW Semi Rigid holder is good enough? Found some cheap on Amazon.
Thanks for the video. Can you explain all the fees associated with this process. Say If a card is sold for $100 what all fees will seller have to pay? I.e shipping cost, eBay cut, packaging cost ect
Dude, this is fantastic. I’m just about to start listing and I love this. Anything you’ve changed since this video? I read listing might even be easier soon with that new scanning software.
Hey man this is a great video thanks for taking the time to make it! I recently got into selling cards on eBay. I noticed in the video you have your own business called JP Breaks. My question for you is should I start an LLC and get an EIN before I start listing on eBay? I think that could help me avoid a lot of personal tax but on that same note do I need to collect sales tax for each transaction? If you could help me out, that would be awesome!
thanks for watching my video! i don't think its a bad idea to start an LLC. i have not yet done so as I have not looked into it. if i understand correctly, ebay charges the buyer a sales tax for each transaction.
Thanks for this! I have a bunch of autographed rookies from the 80s that I need to unload. Dont have any bunches of team cards I can use for protection filler (re: shipping). so what alternative do you suggest? Bubble wrap?
Just put them in a penny sleeve, toploader and a team bag then into the bubble mailer, its extremely unnecessary to use base cards for shipping filler if you use everything else
OK so like now that like let’s say like someone buys an item and you have it so like you they have to pay for shipping does it mean that we have to go directly to the mail office and like pay for the shipping? or like if i pay the shipping do i have to enter the post office?
I bought a “mint” raw card on eBay and it was definitely not even close to being mint.....I clicked return item and it says I’m past the return period, I received the card about a week ago.....what should I do?
I believe there is a way to add tracking to first class shipments for a small fee. This way you know for sure. Probably only worth it on cards worth more than a few bucks. Good luck!
My question is for these $0.99 cards. I see them selling with shipping for $1-$3... When I go to list something the cheapest first class I can find is $3+ to ship. How do they sell them like this and make a profit after shipping? Thank you!
Awesome video!! But I have a question, so if I sold a $200 card and it was my first sale, when would you receive the money and how much would you actually get from the sale ? Thank you
With PayPal and new users, they typically wait for the item to arrive at your buyer’s location before releasing funds. After that, it should be instantaneous upon your customer sending you payment
to me, if the card is fresh out of a pack, sleeved, and toploaded, it is brand new. used is if it is a card i have bought from someone else. technically none of the cards are new since they were opened. good question
Awsome video!! But I have one quick question, when someone purchase your card do the money automatically go to your PayPal or do u got to accept it some how?
eBay has recently changed things that it is held in your eBay account. I honestly have to look into it more now as I have been busy moving and not selling as many cards
Do you have a set price that you will not bother listing? For example common cards under a dollar you will not list. Do you offer free shipping on everything or cards of a certain value?
Man I’m glad I don’t have to list and ship cards like that anymore. VERY TIME CONSUMING. Get a auto feed scanner and a label printer and you can list and package stuff in 10x faster than this way.
That was a great video, straight to the point and with lots of good information. I have a order in at psa of 240 cards I’m waiting for, I would like to sell some of them to recoup my fees. I’m a frequent buyer on eBay but only sold a few things like 10-15 years ago. Lots changed! After your PayPal account is set up, which I have from a long time ago. Also as far as tax, you said you don’t charge for that. Any reason? Do you have to pay tax on that income? I would assume not.

Once you print label, will it notify to the buyer that it’s shipped or do you have to go back in your account and click something stating it’s shipped?
It notify that the label has been created but will only show up in tracking if the label has been scanned by the postal service. I think sometimes they don't do this and the buyers makes a case out of it and you will have to fight it.
I’m new to selling cards on eBay. Do you think buyers are drawn more to sellers who have lots of positive reviews, or do you think it will hurt me if I don’t have any reviews to start?…Also at what card value do you recommend getting a PSA grade on? I wouldn’t assume it’s cost effective to get a grade on a card that’s only worth $10.
The expenses for a psa card to get graded if you send in 10-20 or so is around 20$ so just make sure it is in mint condition and you are making money back from the card getting a 10/9 etc.
Right now PSA has $15.00 per CARD at a minimum of 20 cards with a membership. Been selling for awhile..Included taxes shipping fees and all other costs, for myself to break even a Graded card would have to sell for $50 (Canada)
Just sold my first card. Did everything from printing shipping label and safely securing it into a bubble mailer. Now what do I do after this step? Can I just drop it off at post office or do I need to pay an additional cost?
this was the best tutorial i’ve seen, glad you really went over the “simple” stuff that others don’t think to explain. helped me massively man
Happy to help and good luck on your sales
Enjoy hearing a average guy talk about cards.
It’s refreshing 💃👏
This video deserves a million views and likes! Thanks man for the information on the video and the template as well. 🙏

Amazing tutorial,
Where do you purchase the bubble mailer?
Also do you drop this off yourself to ups or does mailman pick up ?
I’m new to selling but I mainly buy mine bulk off Amazon.
Best to always do Item Specifics, this gives better search results. you can atleast click add all, but up to the person
Awesome tips! Thanks for sharing your expertise with us. 🔥✌🤑

Where do you get the Yellow envelopes from? Thanks for the video I listed my first card today.
Awesome info, thanks for posting!
Thanks loopy good luck
Thanks for the how-to!
Thank you!
I need some info on making that template?
Some people charge more for shipping. Is that a tactic to get buyers to bid on cards
How is a bubble mailer 4x8x8? The width of it is only like 2cm.
It doesn’t matter really. What factors in is the weight so he just left it as is to save time
So do you go to the post office and buy a bunch of bubble mailing envelopes and all kind of supplies or do you order those online?
I order the bubble mailers off Amazon. You can get free boxes off the usps website for larger shipments.
What shipping should I use if I’m from Canada and what to ship to the states and Canada?
Thanks for the video. Can you explain all the fees associated with this process.
Say If a card is sold for $100 what all fees will seller have to pay? I.e shipping cost, eBay cut, packaging cost ect
Shipping is paid for by the buyer. Ebay takes 10% (in the case of $100 it would be $10). Packaging is taken care of by you.
Thanks JP!
Great video...what size envelope did you use?
4 x 8! should be available on amazon. search 4x8 bubble mailer
Do you need a special printer to print the shipping labels out?
Thanks for your knowledge, how do you set up a discount, or waive additional shipping fees, if a buyer purchases more than 1 card from your store?
Just to clarify, as long as you use bubble envelopes you can just leave in a normal blue mailbox?
yes thats correct
Great info and advice!!! Good luck in your endeavors.
Thanks Wento! Gotta sell some cards I’m not crazy about to keep ripping new stuff with the current prices
How do I draft up a description page like that?
Do the ten cards add to the postage ?
Very helpful, thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
After all that packing do you weigh the bubble mailer ? 3 oz is really tough for me to get at...... I’m more at like 9 oz
you are correct, it is closer to 7-10 oz depending on the card (s)

What do you put for the weight of your only sending one card? And is it different if you add those bulk cards around the bought card

no
Is the seeling fees high? And the percentage depends on what please?

why use bubble mailers over envelopes which are 53cents to ship for a card under 20
What is a LCS ? And would a Michael's or craft like store have the team bags and envelopes
