Also undercutting is naturally a result of supply and demand. If you have a card with high print runs, you are going to have to lower the price due to high availability (low demand). If the cards are staying listed and nobody is buying, the logical way to get a sale is to list for a lower price. If I need cash I have a card I need to sell fast, Im going to list it for the lowest price for it to be the most attractive to potential buyers

Lol! Don’t undercut other sellers! Unless you do the undercutting. What a joke! That’s basically what you said. I would love to know eBay became the market maker for this hobby. Let’s take a market that is super liquid already bc it’s only worth what someone is willing to spend, but make it even more liquid by saying auctions dictate the value of these items. To be perfectly your Russell Wilson should only be worth about $100 bc he sucks now as a player and as a human. But bc enough people bid on this case hit and who knows who actually bidding on it, it’s not a $150 card. And then you tried to set your own market by making the card $250. And then feel robbed bc someone was probably just trying to sell a case hit that has crappy value bc of the current player. People can sell cards whatever price they want bud. If I wanted to sell the card for $50 bc Wilson has no meaning to me or I’m trying unload a card bc I know it will sell for a decent price. That’s my call. It’s your choice to sell on eBay and take on those risks of super non concrete market.

      Agree with you 100%
I start my bids at .99 cents because I have way to many cards I collected from the 70's 80's and what ever the bids end up I'm fine with that.

Don’t agree w #2, free market, what your describing is essentially collusion - which is a no no. There is nobody that cares what the other guy sells for, the seller is trying to sell their card at their price. What is not covered is the difference in investment on the original card. If I paid a buck for a 100 card and you paid 50 for the same card to resell - I will already have the upper hand. As far as comps - in the card industry the volatility goes against your argument. There are numerous cards that have gone up and down by 80 plus percent in the past 1 to 2 years. I make about $1000 a month on eBay as a side hustle by undercutting everyone - sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Just my quick opinion. Totally agree on the packaging.

Some eBay seller cards are way overpriced…
    I am a buyer…never sell.
If I am to sell…any card that I put on eBay will have a timeline…sell as quick as possible thus the price would be between the cheapest and the priciest.
I saw one guy listed one of his card over a month and that same card still not sold…that’s stupid.
He listened at 137$ at the beginning and I offered him 127$.

You as a seller are trying to get as much as you can for your card. The Collector is trying to get the card for as cheap as possible.. So the Collector is hoping you guys undercut the sh one t out of each other.. That auction that was at 150 you could have waited untill the moment it ended and if you reckon it was near what you wanted do a buy it now there and then or wait for the other auction to finish also and see what that ended at it could have finished higher again if it wasn't a common card... Cards ruin by Canada Post so many bent cards jammed in the mail box. Yep the "Gretzky Mania" PSA10 card that recently sold for over a million. Prices on Gretzky Cards shot up 200-1000% with buyers... a few months later now just a bunch of overpriced cards not selling.
The fees that they charged to sellers are getting crazy here in Canada. (On cards I just sold for $560 bucks just got $480 transferred to bank account. They also "fee" the taxes paid) Anyone selling online, understand a card that just got graded has to sell for $50.00cdn to break even. I just post locally 60's-80's O pee chee hockey and come out farther ahead dealing with the locals.
