Made these today and will be making them often. They were really delicious and also easy to make. I got 7 wraps out of the recipe. I didn't want to wait 2 hours, so I heated water in my teakettle and then soaked the quinoa in that for 20 min, then followed the recipe as written. Really easy and yummy, and will be great for my diabetic, gluten sensitive spouse.
I love tortillas but can't find gluten free options that hold up,or don't taste slimy. I can't wait to try these.❤

Is salt compolsary in these quinoa tortila?
It's not compulsory for texture but it definitely helps enhance the flavor of the wraps. If you want or need to avoid salt, I recommend adding a little low-sodium/sodium-free vegetable broth powder for flavor or blending the quinoa with vegetable broth.
Can you do this with lectin-free ingredients for inflammation reduction and weight loss? Like sorghum or hemp seeds? Gluten is one kind of lectins which causes all kinds of inflammation from farting to serious auto immune diseases like diabetes, Alzheimer's, and speed up cancer growth.
With sorghum flour or grounded I am very sure it works, I have seen recipes with it. Try it, you will succeed. 🤗👍
If you read dr Neal Bernard 's work, you'll see that diabetes is caused by dietary fat, especially animal fat... check it out.
Does Quinoa cook through and through this way?
The quinoa soaked previously which makes it more digestible and the wraps are spread out very thinly😊

Need help. I tried these. Isn't it raw from the inside? I keep getting them raw no matter how much I cook them on low heat.
I agree makes me wonder if I should bake on low in my toaster oven.
