      I bought one in 1999 when the GT-3 first came out and it can sound thin but that depends on how you hook it up in your studio or amp setup,i still think this is a great floorboard! The clean amp models and some overdrives sound good but i use mine now just for the effects,i put it in the effects loop on my bugera 333 head and it sounds great and does not suck tone like other guitar processors do,i tried my korg ax1500g just for it's effects in my bugera effects loop and it really sucked the tone out of it and sounded dark and muddy,that being said the ax1500g sounds great in front of my bugera and also other amps for it's high gain amp model tones!
      The GT-3 is worth buying used if you still can find it,like i already said the GT-3 does not suck your tone in the effects loop of an amp and even enhances the high end a little bit,this i good if your amp is darker sounding but also good sounding in most amp's effects loop,I like the delay's and reverb's but the other effects also sound good.

    So glad to know that this video was useful for both of you! Remember that the sound of the preset depends on the kind of pickups you are using; for example: in all this videos i used a Strat with single coils and a very thin sound, so if you use humbuckers or active pickups maybe you'll have to modify certain parameters to get the best sound 👍

    Thank you for this excellent demonstration.
    I have 2 questions to ask:
    (maybe you answer in the next episodes)
    Any way to emulate a pedal steel guitar ?
    Have you tried to use it it with a bass guitar ?

    Hi Charlie... I asked this question once before ..and got and answer, but unfortunately did not have my setup to make bulk patch changes and at 67 can't remember how I did it before . Still have this wicked ole GT-3
    Question is how/what method do I use to move these patches to the GT-3 once I have them downloaded to my harddrive. I have usb 3.0 as well as a midi in/out to usb cord...Much thanks , I have just about finished my all out custom soundroom I have been working on since 2006 or 7

      @@Char7ie78 I went to a site "something forge" and D'L a program. I could access the box and mod some patches but could not do any backup of what was on the pedal board so could not put all the patches on it. I have not tried the original GT-3 editor yet but it is also downloadable.

    How do you transfer the patches to a unit?

    • @Char7ie78
      @Char7ie78  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      With some program like GT3 Editor, you have to connect the unit to your PC via Midi/Usb
