    Best response to a negative comment I have seen yet. It's well thought out, makes sense and is polite, yet firm and to the point. This gentleman is honest and 100% real. I like him, and because of this video, I subscribed to him.

    • @RideWithPeterson
      @RideWithPeterson  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wrote the response first then read it and made additional nonscripted comments at the end. That was one take. The comment was simply offensive to ALL drivers and I had to respond to it.

    Ulandsey...You're NOT a bottom feeder! Thanks for the ride share nuggets of wisdom! I thought and felt so many things as I watched this video (Anger, Frustration, Hurt, Sympathy, Pity, Pain, etc...). You don't have to justify yourself to anyone. I'm sure you enjoy driving your 85k vehicle and that is all that matters. I know you're probably already doing this but consider shifting more focus on building your own business (Ride With Peterson) and less on Uber/Lyft. Let me know if you need help....you can really dominate your market!

    • @RideWithPeterson

      Drive Share Ride - Thank you SO MUCH for your comment. After initially responding to his comment, I felt it was important to create a video and share that particular comment and my response with everyone because of the very reasons you mentioned in your comment. His comment insulted ALL rideshare drivers, not just me. Instead of critiquing me, you are offering constructive feedback and real help. Although I have been a commercial driver for five years before going the rideshare route, I am still quite new to having my own company and learning the ropes of building profit out of all this. I have a lot to learn. Lets TALK!!! I look forward to hearing from you.

    I’m considered a “ bottom feeder” I don’t drive the airport, I don’t drive downtown unless I absolutely HAVE to! I make great money, I’m not breaking the bank, but I’m getting by pretty well. I quit my corporate job 6 mos ago because of the stress. I make the EXACT amount that I did without ALL the stress! The only stress I have is my bills, however, I’m disciplined and have no problem getting up and driving. I love it! I get to meet all kinds of people from literally all walks of life! Recently I landed my absolute DREAM job because of a single passenger! It NEVER would have happened if I hadn’t quit my corporate job and started driving for a living. I guess what I’m trying to say is, I support you, no matter what your goals are and don’t listen or be affected by anyone! Drive your life forward, you never know what the universe has in store for you! ❤️

    Listen man, this is the 3rd video that I have watched of yours and I am VERY impressed with your attention to detail and desire to serve....Success is relative to perspective. There are ALOT of people who would be envious to have the guts to take a chances you have, have the opportunities that you do and wlak in your shoes. It doesn't matter if you a millionaire Wall street guy or an Uber driver....bottom line is you have set out to be THE BEST at what you do, and judging from your attitude and your desire to please, i would say that you are. Passion is passion period. From a stranger from across the country (and many others in this thread) I can tell you with complete confidence that YOU ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE a successful man....and ANYTHING BUT a bottom feeder....best of wishes to you in your future indeavors. Hey Peterson, I have a buddy who does Lux and Select and he hangs out in Century City by the Mall, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu at Nobu. He was trying to convince me to buy a car that would allow me to do Lux and Select so I had been analyzing his ride history for about two months. I and can tell you that those areas work. After my analyzing I determined it's not worth it for me to invest another red cent in to Uber and LYFT, but since you already have the car it won't hurt to give those areas a try, if you haven't already. BTW, don't mind people who call names. Christopher Marx could have approached it in a constructive way. Thanks for your authenticity. You gained my respect for being authentic about the reality of things and not trying to pretend like everything is great just to try and maintain a public image as though you are perfect. Respect.

    • @RideWithPeterson

      Miguel Vargas - You inspire me to do better, too. We work because either we want to work or we need to more. More and more people turn to being a rideshare driver because they NEED to do the work. The job provides a lot of time flexibility. It is easy to get, easy to keep and easy to move on from. If your circumstance is anything like mine, there are frustrating parts that are not helped by the challenging aspects of rideshare. Those are the times where you feel trapped and alone, times where you really want to do something else, but stuck it out with rideshare anyway because in so many ways, rideshare helps you more than it hurts you.
      Your plan to do better even with a 5.0 rating after three months and 500 rides is inspiring to me. You are already doing something right. Keep doing it. I am glad you found the video helpful. Thank you for your comment - it helped me today.

Everyone thinks I am crazy......However I have a 4.94 rating after several thousand trips, I also have this car converted to LPG so I spend $30 a full tank of fuel, I also love driving my big luxury fuel efficient car all over Sydney with my massage seats making a 14 hour day a lot easier.So yeah I hear you mate, I am on your side completely

    Hey there:) I like your attitude and ethics very much. I drove a city bus for 9 years and I am sure you deal with the same stuff doing Uber. I have always found it funny how no matter what, the driver is "always the problem" when they should be thankful they can get where they are going versus walking. I kind of do not like the rating system you have to rely on as I know you can be perfect in every way and they can still not like you. I had one guy that rode my bus cuss me out for being one minute late and then the next time I was a minute early and had to wait there and he ran to the bus stop only to wait a minute for me to leave and cuss me out. It is a tough business and I have never needed to use any rideshare, but if I did, I would be greatly pleased to met you:)

    I can appreciate that. I work in the Philadelphia market. A lit of times I go over to New Jersey which has a lot of ride requests. Philly is saturated with Uber and Lyft drivers. I saw your video on SUV's, but I drive a Chevy Tahoe 2015, and when I get XL trips it does pay better. To be honest I do Uber because I like it, and it does fill in gaps for me. I only work part time and usually 4 or 5 hours a day to reach my goal. And I usually get favorable comments about how nice my truck is, or sometimes people will say did I pick Uber Luxe by mistake. But it is fun and I make money st the same time.

    I thought I had a bad day, last night for making $110 in 6 hours. That was a bad day. Minus gas, about $90. Granted, I have a 2005 Town n Country. A good day for me is anything over $200 in about 10-12 hours. Most of those days I get around $180-250. Fridays, (bad weather days are really grand!) and Saturdays I make around $250-300. Minus the gas of course...X & XL; Plus and Lyft. Thanks for your reply Mr. Peterson, I will contact you asap!!

    • @RideWithPeterson
      @RideWithPeterson  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Eric Klingsten - the fact that you drive a 2005 Town & Country and generate $180 - $250 in 10 - 12 hours is very impressive to me. I generally make $350 in 10 hours in LA. On busy Fridays and especially Saturday, I generally make $500 each night. The difference is I generally do 8 to 12 trips each night. I spend a lot of time sitting waiting for trips. I began experimenting with parking closer to certain restaurants and hotels and the results have been promising. Each market is different. LA has a good customer for Select and Black. I receive 2 - 3 Lux calls a week and don’t generate much from those calls anyway. I gave up X and XL a month after starting rideshare. The pay was too low, I put too many miles on my car too fast and the driving experience for me wasn’t as nice as the high end service is. I completely respect the X drivers but I am an advocate of generating as much revenue as possible per mile driven, so I always recommend drivers upgrade to Select or Lyft Premier as soon as practical. Twice the money, half the trips, half the fuel, half the mileage, zero POOL or Line rides and there is a built in advantage when X is surging.

      I’m in Cleveland and drive either an ‘18 optima or an ‘05 Subaru Legacy and make $200 in 8-10 hours most days. I’m shocked when we hear people say there’s no money in this.

    Dude, this is Commission Sales, not 'driving'. I was in commission sales, as a computer parts salesman in Austin, for a straight percentage commission, and then I was on Commission as a contract installation technician. I needed to upgrade customers to make my money go up. I properly itemized and analyzed how to make top money, and was in the top 5 of 50 techs. Most of them made weekly (6 days) what I made by Wednesday. Just do all you can find out to efficiently, legally increase sales. I like your videos.

    I always ignore commenters who are tall on criticism and short on content on their own channel....time wasting cowards, usually.

    Peterson, you handled this commenter very professionally and with integrity. TH-cam trolls are so absurd, thinking they know more than you when they haven't even done their homework and/or don't have the experience that you have. Total ignorance, especially when they judge you not even knowing you.... At the end of the day though, they watched your video and had a reaction to it, so you still win. Rock on. 🙏

    Large cars seem newer longer because they are more comfortable hence makes the job easier, cars are so reliable when used & serviced regularly that there is little advantage buying brand new with warranty, getting a large car three years old or more that runs on LPG fuel seems a good bet.

    Whenever a person strives to do their best, at whatever it is they are doing, an essence of Spirituality enters the service and because of that, blessings are a normal part of the experience. The blessing don't always come in the form of money, but there is always a feeling that somehow you are part of something bigger than the task at hand. In time, the act of always striving for greatness leads to opportunities and it creates luck. Good things are on the way for you Mr Peterson. Stay the course and continue to add value to your service everyday, just as you are doing. Trust that all is well and the plan you are carrying out is solid. You are on the right path. Stay the course. Keep perfecting your service and all will be well.

      Thank you for the compliment. As of Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2:55PM, I no longer have possession of the BMW. It was returned to the limo company I rented it from. I returned the vehicle because I had constant problems making the weekly rental payment on time and there was a required suspension repair due on the vehicle that the limo owners were unable to resolve at the time I returned the vehicle. I had a vehicle I was unable to generate money with and I owe the limo company money. I felt it was wiser to return their vehicle to release myself from any further responsibility to the vehicle and work on repaying the debt I owe then without driving their vehicle.
      I do not know if I will partner with another Uber Black limo partner. For now, I have a 2010 Honda Civic LX through HyreCar. The Civic is a long was from a 2016 BMW 740i. This car only has an AUX port and I don’t use it. It is just a basic car for basic for Lyft and UberX trips.
      I do plan on getting a vehicle that qualifies for Lyft Lux Black and Uber Lux, but I will make sure I am ultimately buying the car.

    Peterson keep doing what you're doing and forget the haters. I drive a 2011 Lexus LS 460L and love it. People ask me why I drive it for UberX/Select and I tell them because this is the car I want to drive. Uber is not my life and Full-time job. I didn't buy this car just for Uber. I bought it because this is the car I wanted and actually had it 5 years before I started Ubering. It's funny they talk crap but are the ones requesting rides because they don't have a car, license suspended, can't buy a car, etc etc. And for the respectable UberX riders, they love when they get picked up in a luxury car for lower prices. 95+% of them give 5 stars just because they get a higher end ride. They are mind blown when I pull up and tell me it's the nicest car they ever had through Uber.

      Zohn Williams I’ve been tossing car options around... I want a Buick Enclave! I HATE doing UberX! So I’m back inna Cab. I don’t want to pay $25,000 for a vehicle just to rag it out but then again, I drive taxi more than rideshare. A low cost minivan with a third row will increase earnings but I don’t want a minivan! The cab I drive is one! So yeah, I just need to get what I want and pray for the best! I’m terrified though of car payments and repair costs if something happens. I only drive part, part-time. I’m disabled and can’t even work a couple hours daily. Keep doing what you’re doing Sir! You are blessed and no troll can rob you of God’s favor!

    Can one use a black Chrysler 300c seen one for 20k 2015

    • @RideWithPeterson
      @RideWithPeterson  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on where you live if the Chrysler 300 is acceptable for Uber Black. The criteria also varies for Uber Select, but it is a bit more flexible. For your area the best place to check is your nearest Greenlight Hub as the website is outdated. I personally recommend full size luxury cars or SUVs (Audi A8L, BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S Class, Jaguar XJL, Lexus LS, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Infiniti QX80, Lincoln Navigator, Ford Expedition) so it is easier to upgrade to professional status without purchasing another vehicle. My favorite vehicles are the BMW 740i and Cadillac Escalade ESV.
