You rock Storster!! I love this content. I've played SMAS for nearly 30 years now and it's crazy to think there's still things we're learning about it. My version doesn't have SMW, but I've played it on and off since I was approximately 8 years old. I know the games were originally NES releases, but the 16-bit remakes are so great. SMAS is an SNES staple if you ask me.

I find this channel to be way more interesting than summoning salt's. It cuts straight to the chase, doesn't overstay its welcome, and is as accurate and well researched as the best speedrunning channels.
This is the most roundabout way of writing and executing that I have ever heard, amazing how people actually figured it out
when i learned about ace a while ago i was wondering if it was possible to write code to other games in mario all stars and i am so glad it was, very cool and interesting video.
It blows my mind that you can run code in a game FROM ANOTHER GAME by just playing the game. These guys are actual geniuses.

This was really fun to make as I followed these developments from the very beginning. Seth is still working on this game as you are probably reading this. He has just recently made a new SMW credits warp route that will work on any platform without multitaps.

Amazing work Storster! I find ACE in the retro Mario games absolutely fascinating and had no idea this new development had happened so it's awesome to learn about it! Of COURSE SMW is so exploitable that it can be used to corrupt other games on the same cartridge too... 😂
I just love how Seth had made this game his clay to mold. He just runs any code he wants really.
Regardless of leaderboard status and all that.
The fact that an ACE exploit exists in the All Stars + World version is incredible. Makes you wonder if you can do some sort of 'stop and swop' trick with how versatile SMW ACE is. Kinda like with the N64 Ocarina of Time exploit.

Twice as a kid I've had the game skip to end credits randomly. Can't remember what I did to make it happen, but it was general child gameplay.

Has anyone done this or ACE on the super mario advance series??
As of now, there isn't really too much notable in the Advance titles. The games were polished up pretty well. The only notable thing is in the Mario 2 installment where you can use the save and quit feature to get to world 7 faster, but you can do the same thing in All Stars.
