Heard a lot of banging on this one and the front lockers too. By the topography looks like a raging river came through thousands of years ago. Good wheelin!!
That canyon looked really cool. Looked like one of those places where you can really feel a higher power. One of nature's temples. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride!
Indeed that canyon looks spectacular. Thanks for sharing not only the drive but the imagery of the rock formations. I especially liked the rock that you passed at 13:10 and then again at around 22:50 that shows the erosion from water that took probably millions of years as I don't imagine it gets much rain but when it does, look out! In case of flash flood move to higher ground. Haha.
Well that trail turned out to look like a lot of fun. I love trails like that one. Lots of obstacles with short breaks in between. Thanks for taking us along.
That's some beautiful and rugged country for sure. I am not a fan of going back the way I came on trails. Whether hiking or wheeling I always prefer loops. Awesome vid.
What a scenic pass! Was hoping you would do some drone down where the massive mushroom shaped rock was. I like in/out trails. They always offer new perspective. Thanks for the post!
Yeah I had a hard time trying to find it the cell phone reception's spotty. Also if you could show video of the trip from beginning to the end without any cuts, it would help people trying to find their way there.
No there were 2 ways out back toward bullhead- just would have kept going toward bullhead and a right turn at some short fence posts would have taken you to the panty tree
I need to get me a rig and do this, that trail looks awesome, especially it being an old river bed lol I'm wondering how much you air down your tires for a trail like this? Consider me a noob lol
I got an FJ this year and had never been wheeling before. My wife and I have been out twice now, learning as we go. It’s a blast dude. There are plenty of forums and TH-cam videos out there for beginners that want to get into it.
Zodee Beats the FJ cruiser forum has a lot of info in it, but you gotta dig deep sometimes. I also find the Tacoma world forum has a lot of cool stuff in it too.
Another great video! Was wondering about the MT winch mount. Any issues with approach dropping of some of those rocks? I plan to get one but my only concern is that the winch doesn't seem as protected as other bumper styles
No problems with approach, which is why I got this bumper. The winch looks less protected, but it would be pretty hard for anything to actually hit it. If you want maximun clearance this bumper is the way to go!
If you ever find your way back down here, message me, and I'll take you to some more great local spots. You got lucky with that rock chute at 19:00 as recently people stacked all those medium sized rocks to make it easier. That used to be a rocker killer! I love Secret Pass!!
Somebody put a lot of effort into stacking all those rocks looks like! That's a lot of rocks. It's a beautiful trail! I'd love to see more in the area. I know there are more trails, some of which I shied away from doing solo.
I wouldn't mind guiding you, yet staying out of your shots for your videos. Some of these trails are a long ways from help, and it's not smart doing them alone. Plus locals tend to have a better handle on the better spots to go
Great video. I've been on the trail up to the horseshoes (where you ended your video) There are so many trails around secret pass. Check out the Narrows. And across the highway is the "Sleeping Princess". That is a tough one. I've only been on the easy part. This was awesome to see this video! I hiked the rest.
@@offroadhub.official my Jeep died a few years ago, I haven't been on a trail since. I spent 5 years in these mountains. And loved every minute and every mile! Maybe again someday. These videos are what I need until I get back into them!
Awesome video 👌 looks nice out there. Must be tough setting up camera solo. Love the bumps and bruises on your fj, starting to look like my fj 🤣 . Good stuff, keep it going.
Secret pass is where years ago the Indians would escape the cavalry going up through the canyon and disappearing up through the many canyon branches. Was their secret. There is a much closer way to get to it.
I would like to invite you back to washington. naches is a great place and the fj would do great! the 4th of july weekend is a good time at the moon rocks. plenty of great footage to be filmed!
Thank you, I'm looking forward to visiting Washington again! Email me at offroadhub.official@gmail.com if you want to try and plan something. I should be in that part of the country around that time so it could probably work
Being an AZ Native I know how nasty these trails can be, the more you do them you start to realize how inadequate IFS can be on certain trails no matter how much you spend $$$ on IFS to squeeze out just a few inches of useable travel... which usually relates to more maintenance and a shit on road ride...... then its time to go the solid axle swap route!!!!
That’s why I own an 05 jeep LJ with a long arm suspension and 2012 Jeep JK axles!! Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Toyota reliability but still cant beat the solid front axle for some nasty trails!!!
We do it in Ranger SXS. It was used by local Indians to retreat into or attack from. Soldiers we un able to figure out how the Indians traversed the mountains so fast.
I’ve heard that Indians used the hidden pass to evade soldiers after raids. As a result of the “secret” the soldiers couldn’t figure out how they kept escaping.
The camera never shows how rough the terrain is. They need to change that sign to "Roundtrip Trail. High Clearance and 4WD Required or you might not come back out".
US Army traversed the Black Mountains via Union & Sitgreaves passes heading west. The Indians used Secret Pass to gain advantage and attack the soldiers from the west side of the mountains....🥸
New Tshirt idea. Welcome to Arizona, where everything is more jagged and spikey. Haha
Very true. Every single plant in Arizona wants to stab you! 😄
golden valley is so gorgeous. ilove horse backriding and atving around BLM area. so beautiful. mountains to die for
Looks like you are going everywhere I wanted to go...before I got old...lol...thx.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Such a beautiful area.
Thanks for watching!

If you're not banging you're not rocking. You are only playing in the sand.

I did this one last winter too , the rock formations are stunning out there . spent a week just exploring AZ , just found and subbed your channel .

Awesome off-roading
Thank you!
Awesome trail, awesome FJ! The camera sure doesn’t show how technical the trail is.
True! It is hard to capture the true nature of obstacles. Thanks for watching!
great video
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Do you by chance have this mapped so I can see where you turned off the main road to start this trail area. Thanks so much. Randy
I believe I used Funtreks for mapping on this one. You can download a gpx file from there.

It is a little crazy. But I like it!
Excellent videos!!! Ever consider doing a solid axle swap on the FJ?
Thank you! I've more than considered it... I'm doing it, it's going to be huge. Stay tuned!

Really i want to go
after the sign saying Secret Pass Technical I do believe the trail got a bit more technical to say the least and a bit hairy in a few places lol.
Yes! I was a little unclear as to where "the trail" actually started... 😆
we want an FJ for our BHC home. Did you not make it to the Narrows? Was the FJ too big of a vehicle to pass through it?
I did make it, it was totally fine!
We do it in Ranger SXS. It was used by local Indians to retreat into or attack from. Soldiers we un able to figure out how the Indians traversed the mountains so fast.
Interesting! Thank you!
how do you drive and drone? Is the drone semi autonomous?
The drone has several automated modes. 👍
How many inch lift?
About 3.5 inches. Thanks for watching!
Now we see how you get those dents !
No dents on this trail. If you really want to see how I got the dents, watch my Busywild Trail video! 😄
How often do you go wheeling?
Everyday when I'm on the road making videos! 🙂
@@offroadhub.official that's awesome brotha, keep wheeling! Hope your channel grows :) best wishes

Go to BOx canyon near Phoenix
FLorence AZ
Thanks for the recommendation!
You so cute
I’m confused by the people who dislike your videos... 🤔
It's ok. You can't please everyone. And as far as youtube is concerned, ALL engagement is good. So I'd prefer a thimbs down over no reaction!

There a slot canyon in there.🎼🎵🎶
Very interesting geological features!
The mountain men used that pass to discover California on the 2nd trip fort Mohave Indians killed half of them then the Mexican army chased them out
Thanks for the history. I love knowing that kind of stuff!
