Great production quality, excellent view angles & drone footage, cool dog, good information, well done! Thank you! Subscribed.
Thanks! Hoping Io get out again soon and film some bigger trips.
I'm looking to tame myself down from the crawling and experiment more overlanding and explorations. Videos like this help build my list.
Glad to hear it’s helpful! It’s definitely a different style of getting there. I haven’t tried rock crawling, I think it would be too stressful for me 😅
I've recently made this same decision. A hard trail will be nice occasionally, but I prefer the long back roads in the middle of nowhere with amazing scenery and remote camping.
With the jeep, German shepherd, and you I’m getting some Sarah Connor vibes!
I love it 😂 there’s next year’s Halloween costume
wow! soon ill make it there! beautiful dog.
Thanks! He’s a handful, but worth it 😂
I love wheelin with my puppy, I confess I use him as an excuse to go exploring "He really needs to go get some mountain sniffs" lol Love what you do! Be safe out there and happy trail hunting!
Thank you! Any excuse is a good excuse in my opinion 😂
Nice trail. Beautiful scenery. ❤❤
Definitely - the east side of the valley is truly full of adventures!
I've run this trail 50 or more times. I usually start at the Usary Pass entrance (3554). This is where she exited. It's close to the East Valley and is my 'go to' for taking visitors out wheeling. When 3554 meets up with trail 10 you have the option to go North to the Bush Hwy (about 13 minutes, easy) or south towards AJ and the Wolverine exit. If the day is going well you can continue onto towards the AA Pit exit and past that all the way to the Apache Trail highway and exit at the 'Cottonwood' gate. As she mentioned, there is a bit of everything on this trail and it is very scenic.
A permit is required, I get checked by the rangers about every 5th run or so, they are pretty active out there. It's also not junked up like lower Sycamore. Its proximity to the East Valley makes it my favorite because I don't have to commit 'all day' if I want to do quick run. Thanks for the video and happy trails!
This area is definitely a great one that's close to home. I look forward to exploring it a lot more. Thanks for your comment!
Just did Bulldog Canyon yesterday. The last time before that, the permit was free and they provided a gate code. Now it's $80 annually and gates are unlocked.
Yeah, I saw that notice a little before the new year. Not sure why they needed to change the system, but hopefully it helps give them the $ they need to keep everything nice.
Nicely produced video. Looking forward to watching more of your work.
Thank you! I’m working hard to improve a lot of aspects. Goal is for each video to be better than the last 👍
@@untamedterrain I suddenly realize I've read many of your trail reviews on the Trails Offroad app as well. Cheers to you and Scout. Enjoy your continued adventures!
@@PowerMcWagonFace Thank you very much! Yes - I try to write reviews for any trail thats on there. Its such a great app.
Great video, keep it up.
Appreciate it - thanks!
👏
Appreciate the support 👍
I used to do this trail in my 3rd gen Tacoma every other weekend like 4 years ago, I have yet to take my new Jeep JL Rubicon. I like entering thru wolverine entrance on the Southside of the trail.
I’ll have to try that entrance next time. Definitely going to be spending more time out that way. It was way more fun than I had expected!
You’re very pretty. And you dog is loving life.
Thank you- he definitely loves the adventures!
Hi Lindsay do you go back out the same way you come in on the Trail? Thx for Vid, such great scenery
Hey@@bradley_Bradley - No, I went in through a SE gate and exited through a W one. Unfortunately, I do not know if every gate has the same lock code. When I was there, the exiting gate was left unlocked (a lot of traffic). When you get a permit, you select which gate you’ll be entering by, and it has the lock code on it.
Been out there a few times, definitely better trails in the Phoenix area. I will say out of all the trails in the Bulldog area, 1356 is the best of the lot. But I would rather go a bit further down the 88 and do Tortilla Ranch trail. Or even further down Apache Trail and do Two Bar Ridge.
There's definitely a lot to explore out in that area - I'll have to check out Tortilla Ranch & Two Bar Ridge.
@@untamedterrain Do Two Bar and Deer Hill in a loop since they connect. I quite enjoyed them.
it is a beautiful area, wish they were able to better enforce keeping the boondockers and and trash dumpers away from the entrances.
💯 I hope the new permit system doesn’t make it worse. I always bring a contractor bag and feel like I could fill a few every trip.
Hey! I'm glad I came across your channel. I am out at Bulldog about 4 times a month with my pups. I'm going to add you on IG. Hope to see you out there! ✌🏼
4x a month is awesome, lucky puppies! Thanks for the add, I'm sure I'll see you around.
