I'm a Washingtonian born and raised. I have been going to Elbe Hills wheeling and riding dirt bikes and driving a side by side more recently. I have seen the Busywild trail develop over 18yrs. I remember when I first started going to Elbe you 35" tires could make it through busy wild without having to winch but a couple times. Now you really need 38" tires or bigger and beadlocks so you can air down without worrying about losing a bead. Still one of the most difficult technical trails in Washington.
It's interesting how trails evolve. As more people hit a trail with larger and larger tires, digging things out, bigger tires become required. 40's are the new 35's... Thanks for watching!

Ouch! That's one serious trail to take something as big as FJ in... And to do it alone?!?! You are a braver man then me... Thanks for sharing!
It was crazy. I don't think the FJ was too big though, it wasn't big enough! Most of the guys that do this trail regularly are on at least 40 inch tires and solid axles. Thanks for watching!
@@offroadhub.official damn this proves that the fj is a beast.
@@Kana0211 it held up well despite the abuse... 😄
@@offroadhub.official i recently highcentered mine on some hard snow and was slamming 1st and reverse at 4 -5k rpm
in 4l to get out. Then airbag light popped up when I got off. No winch just tires
@@Kana0211 airbag light? That's weird.
(Queue "Dueling Banjos") Wow, way to teach your FJ the hard way! Awesome run.
Amazing FJ Video on a very difficult trail. Man i felt every crunch and slam for your FJ. Loved the musical zen part too. haha!
Wow - pretty incredible experience on your dime. I'm impressed 👍
Good times, lots of dimes! 😄
Welcome to Washington!
I'll be back for sure!
Been through the Busywild many times. Was there this past weekend. 40s and throttle are the usual suspects. I've made it without pulling cable with spooled axles, on 35s...twice😁 I thoroughly enjoyed the vid.
I feel for you Ken. I bet the desert is looking pretty good right about now.
Dude. Big props to you for going in blind.
Wow buddy! Real balls. I don’t think I would ever put my FJ though that but it was great watching you! Pure guts
Yeah I wouldn't advise it with this catagory of vehicle!
It was better than an thriller movie , loved every minute
Awesome! Thank you! 🤙
awesome video...many videos show the best technical driving of a trail... you showed scars and all.
TOYOTA will be proud and all fj cruisers owners the best video ( thank you ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL you are so lucky you did not do this in the fun, wet winter/spring months! people on 40s/42s get swallowed on the busy. the summer months are yaawwn for this place. Be glad you did this trail when you did.
Longest video I've stayed for-. 👍👍
Lake Havasu-☀️ AZ
Thank you!
Great video, glad you got to see the Busy. It can be challenging even for a built rig.
Man, I feel for you. I’m local to WA, ran the busy a ton in my Jeep. (It’s progressed over the years to a fairly large buggy with a tub...). Major props for struggling through especially solo. Hope most damage comes out, never feels good smashing up your rig, but again, major props for hitting the busy
Thanks! No mechanical damage so I lucked out there! I was pretty shocked by Busywild. Thanks for watching!
@MysteriousOklahoma I've heard a lot from Jeep owners, they've been nothing but supportive. I'm over the damage, no biggie! Thanks for watching!!
@@offroadhub.official I'm sure a few of us would be interested in a walk around the FJ, once the mud is cleaned up.
I rolled my fj 3 days ago in Southern California hills. Love the video.
Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Is it a total loss?
man you got stones!!!! hitting that trail alone!!! great video bud
Knarliest trail I’ve ever seen. Good job man.
