    READ THE REVIEW: www.electrifying.com/reviews/...
By now, most of us have either read, seen or heard all about the all-new Dacia Spring. When it lands in showrooms later this year, it’s going to be the most affordable new electric car on the market. Not by a few hundred pounds, either. This is going to be THOUSANDS of pounds cheaper than ANY other new electric car you can buy.
At Electrifying, we don’t just like the sound of our own voices. We like to know what you think. And since we started producing our video reviews, we’ve had thousands of comments on our channel. Some interesting, some helpful, some downright rude.
But the comments section can only tell us so much.
Which is why in this video we’re bringing you a real-life, live and kicking TH-cam comments section. Join Nicola as she invites Nichola, Sara, Alison and Richard to have a look around the new Dacia Spring - months before it arrives in retailers.
How do they rate the Spring? Has the cost-cutting gone too far in some places, or has Dacia pulled off a masterstroke and created a brilliant package? Will the range of just 137 miles be a deal-breaker for our reviewers, or has Dacia got its sums right?
Do you agree with our reviewers? Let us know in the comments below.
If you want to be one of our review team, let us know at info@electrifying.com. We’ll be planning more shoots like this in the near future and we’d love to have you along.

Thanks everyone at Electrifying for my opportunity to be on the channel! (I am the EV geek in the brown jacket...) The video is completely representative of what we said on the day too. Really, really impressed with the Spring - it's everything a cheap, cheerful runaround should be. The right things, done right. Well done Dacia!

Did they inform you you were sitting in a Dongfeng with Dacia logo, and the technology is still the same as in 2015? You know there's no 3 fase charging? As a result it can only be used as a second car. And not in the city because you need time and space on you driveway to charge it.... You also need 1 to 2 miles to pass a semi truck. If you ever succeed in passing. So weird not one negative point was mentionned. And you guys really weren't paid to act all this?

@@thedreamfactory6964 given they all already own EV's, they'll already have a way to charge them and won't be concerned about that. They didn't drive it so didn't experience the lacklustre performance, though as the former owner of two Fiesta's with less power than the ~60hp variant it'll drive fine anywhere but a motorway (and better off the lights).

I have a Spring, bought it last June. I live in the heart of the French countryside with winding lanes and lots of hills. I drive into the towns, to the airport, shop etc. I absolutely love it. The range is just under 300 km in the Summer and I am getting 225 km out of it in our Winters. I love it. Defrost while I'm in the house, top it up at home. Fun to drive and behaves like a small SUV which is handy on some of our roads. No complaints at all.

Belive it or not, Dacia Spring is the only EV which can do more then VLTP. On a longer journey I can allways can go around 300 km with a consumption between 7-8 kwh/100 km. It is a very light car. Has only 970 kg.

I found it fascinating that the others highlighted quite different aspects to me and really enjoyed listening to what they had to say. This car is intended as a commuter city car, and nothing else. If you buy it for that reason, then you're unlikely to be disappointed. The EV market needs cars like this now. We've had all the high end £40k plus cars. The EV market now needs to cater for potential EV buyers at the opposite end of the market.... The new Renault R5 and Citroen e C3will cater for those who are willing to spend a few grand more, and want more style.....

Nice item, and good info by the people. This should be done more often. Invite a group of 4 to "feel" the car and let them tell what they think of it.
The Dacia EV will have some competition in 2024 and 2025, with the new 200km range Citroën ë-C3 for €20k. And possibly with the Hyundai Casper?
But both are indeed €5k more expansive. At €15k this Dacia is blowing the competition out of the water.

Its good having people come and walk around a new car, sit in it and twiddle a few knobs for first impressions, how about them test driving it on a test track for their evaluation on handling and comfort etc . Whilst most people wont want a pocket rocket for nipping to the shops etc i think the acceleration is a bit sedentary at 14 seconds but having said that around £15,000 by todays standards isn't a bad price especiallyfor an ev.

Was in for a look at the polestar4 and couldn’t because and I quote “ the car has had a few problems and has forgotten how to do showroom mode so people could start it and drive off . I just said this doesn’t really show Polestar in a good light and it’s a £64k Car.
European car companies have dropped the ball and now foreign Car companies are giving people enough of what they want for a great price. It’s hard today to make a bad car it’s not like it’s the 1980’s when cars in the U.K. factories broke down two minutes leaving the production line and rusted and electrical faults. A friend bought a brand new XR3i Ford. It had a leaking sunroof from day one, a damp boot, disco lights in that the lights had a wire fault so when you pressed the brake peddle it was like a Disco light show at the back. After a year the same Car that was blazing orange (I think) was starting to fade I places and the rear spoiler was coming off. 😳😂And at the time this was acceptable.
I hold my hand up I’ve said I’m not going EV till real world is easy 300 miles and a car sensibly priced. If that new MINI out was in S form was 300 real world it would probably getting ordered if it was not £38-42k 😮 But this for a city Car at that price, MINI last generation wanted £28k for a city Car.

No, not at all. Cooling is only needed if there's warmth/heat generated. As this is the indutries lamest system on the market (charging with only a couple kW and just enough power to move it up to the end of the street in under 5 minutes) there's absolutely not to be worried about that. If your system doesn't heat up, why cool it? It could start freezing when cooling this little battery 😂.

It was being shipped off elsewhere that night. So I'm sure that when a UK-spec production model is ready, they'll be testing it straight away. In other words, it was that or nothing...
