Yes, I have seen one....before getting fed up with Matt Watson. Fame got to he's head and I got fed up. He would never try this car now, maybe he would in the past... But not now. I prefer a down to earth review like you, not someone trying to be funny when he is not. Good review man!
I would be interested if it happens with the "orange normal Spring", not the car sharing, maybe there is a bigger gap between them. I can imagine, with summer tire and in normal temperature 10-20°C would it be 50-60 km:))))
i will try to do the test again now in the summer :) i won't have access to the "orange" spring but they should be the same, although they are using different codes of batteries. see another video i did... :)
Thanks. Home charger no. Ac charging at 6.6kw also no problem. DC charging is reduced very much. You can only get around 10kW of the original 30kW so DC charging is nor very good. I will have a separate video about this very soon :)
yes, the bottom buffer which in other cars is not this big. definitely not good to do this. i don't recommend it. just wanted to do this test to have the numbers. i've done another video right after this one about the battery. check it out.
Imagine using your Spring and adding charge from a Jackery solar power station (or ecoflow) ! I imagine these in folding solar panels to block the sun on the rear windows(like these covers for the sun)
yeah that sounds like a great solution for a weekend adventure in the woods or in the mountains. you can't charge the car while driving but when you are stopped and camping... sure it's a great solution. shout out @jackeryinc and @EcoFlowTech if they want to sponsor something like this :)
Great content! I’ve also ordered one. Let me have a question. Do you think a towing bar or hitch can be mounted , not for towing just for using a box. Greetings from Hungary !
Thanks. For sure it can be done, but it would be something custom as there is no approved solution for the car. What would you like to carry in the box?
@@hintalanadam309 yeah, something can probably be done aldough i haven't seen something like that until now. only ski rack on top with magnetic ski holders, and bike rack on the back of the car
I didn't count the kms for that charge as that was not the idea of the video. But if you're driving carefully and have a consumption of about 10kwh/100km like i did, and you run from 100% to under 0% like i did, you can get about 280 to 300kms with the car.
Hi 😊 I am very interested in buying a Dacia Springer. Could you go over the pro and cons of Dacia springer. Does that app work so you can pre heat your car in the winter? Loved your video about the battery. I was not aware that you have to ask how many % charging the guarantee covers. Very important point. So thank you so much for that 😊😊👍👍♥️♥️
yes, the car can be heated or cooled from the app (on / off only so you have to set the temperature in the car before you close the car but generally in the summer you will leave it on cool, and in the winter on warm and that's it). pay attention to the level of equipment, the base car does not have app support. make sure to check which version you're getting if the app is important for your usage
Thanks. You can change it with an obd2 bluetooth adapter, a laptop and DDT2000 software. Look for it in the forums and be careful what you change. I suggest only the language and some other small, simple things if you want. Don't try to change values relating to charging, speed etc.
Batteries should never be decharged completely. The optimal decharging point for lithium batteries about 80%. Otherwise your batteries Will eventually die and stop recharging. Thats why the manufacturer put the limit to 20%.never decharge beyond that limit it significantly reduces the battery lifespan
@@electzro We have Dacias but not electric vehicles. They are not yet common here because of the way electricity is priced with consumption staging that is the more KWhs you consume the more expensive it gets.
@Carlos Cruz thanks. no change. the range at absolute 100% was about 225km so the BMS and the trip computer would still not calculate the values that are hidden from the user so the bottom and top buffers.
@Alexandre Martinho - not really. the capacity is there, just the dashboard is not showing it to you to protect the battery. after you charge the car, it "disappears" again. the BMS will not learn the bigger capacity in this case. balancing and calibration is something else.
3% is not a good % to store a battery for long time. I would avoid it. Or if it's a really good deal, do some charge / discharge test if possible. If not, just skip it
@@electzro I charged the car, 100% - 210 km range. I should go with it to see how the mileage is running out and top it up again. I think 100/150 km would be enough.
Yes. Then you can measure approximately what degradation it has. It shluld he overall fine but still it might have some early degradation that only in 5-7 years will show up. Only consider buying it if it's cheaper than others..
@@electzro The decision is difficult, knowing that the car has been standing for so long and has never been charged. The warranty is there if there is a problem, but how can it be that it is too discharged and they can see it somewhere?
@mikloskalman2841 yes it's difficult. It only makes sence if it's a lot cheaper than others on the market like i said. Cars like tesla will be able to show from logs that the car wa sitting at low SOC % for long but Dacia Spring probably has no such logs
So If you Drive slow U can get very far. I think 230 or More on a freeway and 300 in City. So U can get from Stuttgart to Berlin without chargeing the Batterie . May a 15 min Charge to be save but nothing More
Yes, but it would be very on the limit. Not suitable for daily driving to work and back on such a long distances. You would have to drive slowly.. 90km/h probably..
@Pana Radu, pai am si zis in video, turtle mode nu porneste si ramane pornit ca in alte masini. apare doar cand bateria e descarcata si incerci sa accelerezi mai tare. apoi cand nu mai apesi tare pedala, dispare.
are you charging at 22kw or 50kw? do you have data on how much it costed you to charge it from 0 to 100 in a public charging station at 22kw and at 50kw? Thank you.
thanks. depends on how you drive it. if you drive it carefully from 100% until it stops it's over 300 km. if you drive it on the highway it's less than 200 km... this is true of any electric car.

Bravo!
After having a problem with the battery a few weeks ago, i prefer a old school manual hanrdbreak against a park position for driving
Yeah, i understand.. also it's a lot more fun in the snow ! 😅
@@electzro with wheels that slim I'd rather not 🤣
Thank you for this, it was the most informative video I've watched on this car. Just the type of information I am looking for.
Glad it was helpful!
Yes, I have seen one....before getting fed up with Matt Watson.
Fame got to he's head and I got fed up. He would never try this car now, maybe he would in the past... But not now.
I prefer a down to earth review like you, not someone trying to be funny when he is not.
Good review man!
🙏 appreciate the kind words.
Usefull test. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Are there any problems with charging at low temperatures below -10 degrees on the home charger and on the fast charger?
Thanks. Home charger no. Ac charging at 6.6kw also no problem. DC charging is reduced very much. You can only get around 10kW of the original 30kW so DC charging is nor very good. I will have a separate video about this very soon :)
Very good and informative video, I am waiting for a battery monitoring application video clip 😁👍
Coming soon!
Very Good and the weather was cold better than a electric mini or Honda e
yeah.. i'll do the test again soon with warm weather outside :)
@@electzro good one
I guess these 40 km come from the bottom buffer of the battery which is not good to deplete. Might be wrong though :)
yes, the bottom buffer which in other cars is not this big. definitely not good to do this. i don't recommend it. just wanted to do this test to have the numbers. i've done another video right after this one about the battery. check it out.
Salut.
Can ze. O sa fac un clip separat despre aplicatii in curand
Great review. Tks
Thanks. Glad you liked it
Great content!
@@electzro just for extra luggage storage , like Thule back space
@@hintalanadam309 yeah, something can probably be done aldough i haven't seen something like that until now. only ski rack on top with magnetic ski holders, and bike rack on the back of the car
Have you starteg form 100% charge? If so what was overall distance?
Jos palaria pentru dictie !
Daca e pe bune, Ms 🙏
Thanks for this video! Very interesting :) ! Go ahead!
Thanks ⚡⚡
Really great video, thank you!
Thanks. Glad you liked it ⚡⚡⚡
Good. When vehicle gets older, this margin is likely reduced. Not range when 100%.
Amazing car think I would push these batteries all the way as a city car.
Agreed. Also replacing / repairing them will be cheap. I expect the actual body to rust more quickly than the battery to go bad
Including this 41 km what was the total of KM for that specific charge?
So what was the total KM?
Nice experiment, thanks!
And your English is perfect; don't be shy! :D
Thank you! ❤🙏
Hello, great test. Any idea how to change DASHBOARD language to english? Currently i see french language.
Thanks. You can change it with an obd2 bluetooth adapter, a laptop and DDT2000 software. Look for it in the forums and be careful what you change. I suggest only the language and some other small, simple things if you want. Don't try to change values relating to charging, speed etc.
@@electzro thanks, I'll probably do it at the dealership.
Batteries should never be decharged completely. The optimal decharging point for lithium batteries about 80%. Otherwise your batteries Will eventually die and stop recharging. Thats why the manufacturer put the limit to 20%.never decharge beyond that limit it significantly reduces the battery lifespan
yes... i never said you should do it. i did this so you don't have to...
Very good review. Greetings from Tunisia.
@Bouslama Karim - thanks! Greetings from Romania! Does Dacia / Renault sell the electric Spring in Tunisia?
@@electzro We have Dacias but not electric vehicles. They are not yet common here because of the way electricity is priced with consumption staging that is the more KWhs you consume the more expensive it gets.
Oh, that sounds bad. Hope it changes soon! 🙂
@@electzro Yep otherwise ev will never be a thing because it will be more expensive to operate than even diesel.
yes, about 3kWh. total capacity is about 30kWh.
👍
thank you so much for your video. Big respect from Portugal 😀😀😀
Glad it was helpful! cheers !
could you tell me which app you use?
can ze plus
excellent test, but not recommended-deepdischarging to absolutezero willkillthe battery😮
Great video. One question about the battery controller. Did you notice any change on the range numbers after this test? Still accurate?
@Carlos Cruz thanks. no change. the range at absolute 100% was about 225km so the BMS and the trip computer would still not calculate the values that are hidden from the user so the bottom and top buffers.
Do you test the range after charge? Did the bms changed it?
I didn't test the range after. There was no need to. What would have the BMS change? I don't understand
@@electzro usually when you take the car below 0% it usually enable more capacity on bms, like it learn from it
@Alexandre Martinho - not really. the capacity is there, just the dashboard is not showing it to you to protect the battery. after you charge the car, it "disappears" again. the BMS will not learn the bigger capacity in this case. balancing and calibration is something else.
Hello! I found a Spring that had not been used for a year and the battery was at 3%. Was the battery damaged? Thank's for your response.
Cars like tesla will be able to show from logs that the car wa sitting at low SOC % for long but Dacia Spring probably has no such logs
the question is how long can it drive fully charged...adding of course the 40km after the 0 hits
Close to 300km if you really strech it but 250km no problem
@@electzro still far away from your average diesel 1029km
So If you Drive slow U can get very far. I think 230 or More on a freeway and 300 in City. So U can get from Stuttgart to Berlin without chargeing the Batterie . May a 15 min Charge to be save but nothing More
Yes, but it would be very on the limit. Not suitable for daily driving to work and back on such a long distances. You would have to drive slowly.. 90km/h probably..
@@electzro Yes true! I think for 1 time per month for holiydays with a little charge its okey
Yes, :)
Great video! But I think you should make them shorter, 10-15 min :)
It did turn out a bit long didn't it ? :)
Thank you very much! Very interesting! Have you charged it to 100%? For me, it would be interesting to know how much it was? Best regards
Thanks. See at the end of the video and the next video. But this was in the winter. In the summer the range is up tp 300km
Is it air cooled battery or liquid? And what's city breaking?
Air cooled. Automatic breaking in case of accident to avoid collision.
@@electzro thank you ❤️

Fain test.
@Pana Radu, pai am si zis in video, turtle mode nu porneste si ramane pornit ca in alte masini. apare doar cand bateria e descarcata si incerci sa accelerezi mai tare. apoi cand nu mai apesi tare pedala, dispare.
masina a încărcat 28439wh pana la 100%
Eu am incarcat 29217Wh dar era descarcat complet
Great roll resistence
@Nigel Weir - also light car..
Nice work 🙏
🙏
are you charging at 22kw or 50kw?
do you have data on how much it costed you to charge it from 0 to 100 in a public charging station at 22kw and at 50kw?
Thank you.
50kw dc
Price will depend on what network you use to charge up the car. Prices differ from one charging network to the other.
just wanted to get an idea how much it costed you on that particular charge. thanks
👍
Please what is the range of this car?
150 to 250 km. depending on the weather and driving conditions / style.
Foarte tare!
Mersi
Foarte tare Spring-ul dom'le, cine s-ar fi asteptat?
Ma asteptam sa faca 5-10km... dar 40 clar nu.
Amazing video! so, after this test, and all the km you did with 0%, which is the "real" autonomy of the car? hehe
thanks. depends on how you drive it. if you drive it carefully from 100% until it stops it's over 300 km. if you drive it on the highway it's less than 200 km... this is true of any electric car.
Hi,
How many kw did you put in? (From 0 to 100)
hi. please see the next video on my channel. it's exactly about this and more ! thnx.
Do you think there can be different settings on the non-commercial version of the spring? A summer test would be welcomed
No. According to my tests also with the customer version and this business version, they are the same regarding the battery, motor, charger etc. I will try to re-do the test in early summer
Very informative and useful video! Do you have any idea how many km does the twingo electric does after 0%? Thanks
Unfortunately Renault does not sell the twingo in Romania. I only saw an electric twingo once in Austria.
