I strongly recommend the spraymax 2k clear coat, and using spraymax blender to soften the original clear coat in order to fuse the old and new clear coat together. This has worked for me every time and is impossible to see the blend. This is still a great & simple video with lots of of information, my comment is for the next level of finish/quality, its also gonna add $40-60
Hey Bro, God bless you in Jesus Christs mighty name. May The Lord bless you and keep you, may He make his face shine upon you. Seek The Lord bro, He loves u. God bless
Is there any reason I shouldn’t try this before getting an entire repaint? I have a spot about 1x2 inches on my driver door that has chipped away, the paint underneath looks perfectly fine (it’s a red vw Golf R)
oi, I'm subscribin. You got a good channel and ya know what I like? No BS. You don't act like a jerk during yer videos. A little humor and personality is fine but I like it that yer all business.
Unfortunately the breakdown is not something that "spreads" from an initial spot. It is a condition of the clear coat that affects all areas and is most advanced in zones that get the highest sun exposure. So that little spot is just a harbinger of things to come. Soon large swaths will begin to break down and there is not much you can do about it.

Excellent tutorial, thanks
You should always use a sanding block not just your fingers to get more even sanding marks
Thank you. I burned through clear coat on a clients vehicle and i feel so bad about it but im going to fix it
I tried this and it didnt work
Heres a picture of the blemish after clear coating . How should i fix this? I made the mark with a buffer by putting too much pressure

@@hop0ffsmp938 I would definitely try this first, it will most likely solve your problem and save you money
Hi. My car has a small area with too thin clear coat. Can I use this way to increase the clear coat layer?
@@pflarini yes, just make sure to prep properly. Use 1,000 wet sandpaper to prep and then apply clear coat
great video, thanks

Why do all the body ahops say rhis cant be done and the whole roof needs a respray
@@dantedeluca978 it’s better to redo the entire body panel. This is a good fix if you just want to fix the initial issue
Great job…👏👏
Thx
