Addition to the knife tool, you can press C when you’re cutting to constrain the knife tool to be straight(obviously in relation to topology) So when you’re doing a knife cut, press C and it straightens it, when you go to the next one, it resets this so you can press C again to straighten it, or not if it doesn’t need to be straightened. But again, he said the tools can go very deep. Just wanted to add that tidbit since I do C to straighten my knife cuts also all the time :)
Note when the shade smooth looks bad you want to go down to vertex tab and click shade normals check it and keep shade smooth on it won’t look funky a little tip but you have to do that to every object you add.
it'd be nice if you'd have explained that first you need to activate the pie menu add-on by going to Edit->Preferences click Add-Ons then scroll down to Interface: 3D Viewport Pie Menus and activate. Or use the search field in the Edit->Preferences->Add-Ons and type in pie to filter to the add-on...
What the .. i don't get the pie menu when i press X? How come? DEL or X, both bring me up the classic list view *EDIT* Found it (Preferences > Add-ons > Activate '3D Viewport Pie Menus'
I'm curious, what is the most intuitive software you used? I've been using Sketchup for concepting and haven't find nothing nearly intuitive, been thinking about using Blender since it looks pretty useful, but not sure how intuitive it is.
very late reply, but Sketchup is really good for concepts and quick rough models, Blender isnt very intuitive, at least not for me, its not hard to use persay, just not as easy to get used to or learn like sketchup
what is this shortcut tab by the outliner? I feel like you've missed an opportunity to explain the important stuff to new users such as myself [been using Maya for a decade - just made the switch to blender] who want to get right into the most commonly used tools - I see interfaces that aren't default so it just adds to confusion and frustration.
3:30 but wait how do i fix this if i canceled it? ( Never Mind I messed about to see how to fix this and you just do CTRL Z to undo after you pressed right click just incase anyone else was woundering too)
Nothing on edge poly modeling like you can easily do in 3ds max? I find this clunky to do in Blender as there is little control over where your edge will end up in 3d space when they are screen dragged. I know you went into front view when extruding but that's not what's wanted or needed.
Thanks! This is what I need. Summary of the only needed tools and commands! Great!

11:24 I believe this is the Connect Vertice Pairs/Paths tool for those wondering. Thanks for the video!
useful for every 3dsmax imigrant :D
That little beap at the end of the intro is the exact sound Aiwa uses when syncing their speakers.
The chapter list looks impressive can`t wait to check this out. Thanks guys!

This is exactly what I needed thank you so much!

I have been hitting the x key until my finger got numb, so thanks for this remark Stephen
Awesome hints! Thank you for saving a lot of my time)

Thanks! I had the same issue))
Thanx, had the same issue :)
LOL that I replied exactly the same as the guy above me.
I don't get it why isn't it on by default.. It's so much better with this, it makes people harder to learn blender...
How did you make this Extrude normals tube shape ?
Great tips here learned a lot, thank you ❤️

how is 7:48 spaceber please
Edit > Preferences > Keymap. There will be 3 toggles for spacebar: Play, tool, or search. F3 is the default for search.

Loads oh the shortcut you're explaining don't work anymore in Blender 3.
