I think you guys missed the $250,000 limit for individuals where 50% of capital gain will be taxed. For corporates there is no limits straight 66.67 % on capital gains. This move will drive investment out of the Canada and create job losses.

They still have to pay tax on 50 % of the capital gains as before. $250,000 also includes your taxable yearly income .

Disagree with your narrative sir! Any business is build on ethics is the right business but housing is not business, home is where people raise family and live. As per your narrative that means no ethics should be a bar, means those who advocate for prostitutions and drugs should be allowed cause it generate wealth for some people? I strongly advocate higher tax those who does house flipping for greedy profit and genuine needy family again lack behind to purchase home cause of these greedy investors in the market.
