For NRI'S rural agriculture land which has no capital gain tax, why TDS 23.9% is deducted. this is not a capital asset. In this case instead of deducting and then paying back after ITR is filed, govt should exempt it from TDS, to make it easier for NRI seller.

Selling ancestral land should be made tough to halt the current exodus from punjab . There was the time when selling land was considered as sin among jatts .

Bha Ji ,please do not bother yourself .This govt. will complete its 5 years term without any significant compromise. The parties supporting this govt. have not much leverage.All you should bother is about Canadian economy and the oncoming federal elections.Leave India alone.
