Possibly useful to others: I had no heavy whipping cream so I used sour cream. Tasted amazing. Didn't detect any sour cream taste, just a nice fluffy yet dense cheddary biscuit. I made one with garlic and another with some cheap "cajun seasoning" blend. I actually preferred the cajun blend biscuit, so experiment with your seasonings. It's so quick and easy and CHEAP it's worth playing around with.

Have tried your receipt & it’s yummy!
Please try my way that I’ve tried?
Instead of all savoury additions try nutmeg, cinnamon and here in England we have a spice called “allspice” (for apple pie etc)
I used more coconut flour than you, then microwaved for 2mins 30seconds.
My gosh it’s wonderful especially with a ‘dollop’ of kerrygold on top!! It’s amazing.

I made this for breakfast and used 1 ounce of cream cheese instead of cheddar. I did microwave for an extra 15 second to accommodate for the creamier consistency of the cheese. I used it for breakfast sandwiches putting 1 slice of bacon on each and then microwaved one egg and divided it between the two sandwiches. It was fantastic! Also, if you want a bit more body to the bread, 1/2 teaspoon of psyllium powder works great too.

  • @alphacause
    @alphacause 7 ปีที่แล้ว +24

Like so many others, the only reason why I used to go to Red Lobster was for the cheddar biscuits. Needless to day, since I have been on Keto for over 2 years now, I have not allowed myself that indulgence. Thank you for doing this keto friendly adaptation of one of my favorite restaurant foods. Now if you could just make a keto friendly version of their New England clam chowder, which I would use to dip my cheddar biscuits, I would be blown away.

Don't forget the Arsenic, the chlorine, the fluoride (Which is a poison....between arsenic and lead on the poison scale. Check the poison warning on the back of your toothpaste tube if you don't believe me) Bottom line, buy purified water that has been run through reverse osmosis, along with the other processes, and then minerals added. Nestle's makes a good purified water.

I just quadrupled this wonderful recipe, and I successfully cooked mine in the no stick automatic waffle machine, IMPORTANT: because of the cheese, you must leave inside the closed unplugged waffle machine (about 15 min) until cooled (solid formation, remove gently) Makes about 8 bread style waffles

Just tried this and loved the flavor. I cut up a few slices into cubes like croutons and fried them and the fry pretty well just have to turn them quickly. The croutons texture reminds me of some corn bread croutons Longhorns used to have for my favorite salad (with chicken tenders, mandarin oranges and honey mustard) which they do not have anymore so I’m excited now just need to figure out how to make them into mini corn bread croutons 😅. Baby corn has very little carbs so maybe I’m on to something here 🙈😁. Thank you for the awesome recipe KC! 🙌🏼

I just made it. It's very good! But when I added up the carbs in Carb Manager, including the Bob's Red Mill coconut flour (4g), the 1/4 Cup shredded cheese (1g), the less than 1 carbs in the 1/8 tsp of garlic powder and onion powder and 1 Tbsp of heavy cream, it came out to 6g net carbs, not 3g carbs. Also, the calories are a bit high, but that's okay. It's great!

Guys, don’t use grated cheddar, it has potato starch added to stop it clumping together, use real cheddar and grate it.
Or it ain’t Keto. I got this perfected, use it to make scones, some cheese, some sweet with cinnamon and stevia. Slice it up and then 10 mins in oven on a tray to brown the lil buggers.
Thanks for showing me the path 👍

    Matt...,Matt...,MATT!
    THESE WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
I had friend's over for dinner and as they sat in my kitchen,I propped my cell up,and we all watched and listened to you guide us thru Makin the 'CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS" I pulled all ingredient's,popped them in my mug,MIXED AND STIRRED...As ''erry body " watched me make them,I plated up the spiced spinach, and Spicy Chile Turkey meat I made...checked on them at the 2min mark...Gave bit one last minute, popped the, #threeminutebreadclub
Plated up the food, errybody got a biscuit and ...served errybody their plates...
    AND...
    O
    M
    Goodness!
    They went wild... ''AwEsOmE flava!"
Moist...cheesie...so tasty, the coconut flour Cheddar Bay Bread biscuits was a HUGE HIT!
THEY HAD ME MAKING MUG AFTER MUG!!!
    AFTER the 3rd mug,
I was like,''I wanna eat too!"
So next time most definitely I'm going to be making this in a loaf pan in the oven two at a time that bread was a hit not only that ...But FYI it was my first time ever making keto bread!
    Thanks Matt!

Oh I have to make these tomorrow. My mouth is watering so much. :)

I made them with the coconut flour and although it rose higher than with the Almond flour it went right into the trash can. If you like coconut with cheese then go for it. The Almond flour biscuits were delicious but only puffed up enough for 2 biscuits. They smell so delicious and were fantastic!

    For a sweet alternative.
Remove all the spices & herbs and the cheese
Add a good pinch cinnamon and sprinkle in some nutmeg
Once made slice and pan fry with some butter.
Unbelievable flavour and a massive help for those addicted to morning toast. I do this twice a week and have eggs the other days. Saved me from breaking

I'd love to try this recipe, but will have to experiment in the oven unless someone else has already done so.

I use an oven. It works fine at 350* for 20-25 minutes. I do a double or more recipe in a small loaf pan and slice it for sandwiches. I also removed all the cheese and herbs and added cocoa powder, chopped walnuts, and sweetener for a chocolate cake! Great recipe!
