I just want to say that if you buy an rx7 and take the rotary out, your name will forever be listen in the hall of shame. Also, the unreliability claim doesn't hold: In fact, rotary engines are far more reliable in racing conditions. An example of this would be the 1991 LeMans. After the race, all teams had to rebuild their engines. The engine of the 787B was still good for another 24hours race, back to back.

They're pretty difficult to work on as there is absolutely no room in the engine bay a lot of shops in my city won't even touch them

Love cb7! The popular swap for accords are h series motors. They come out of the prelude. Which is another golden honda! The f series motor that come in them are food for boost. So even tho it's a single jingle, people love em.
I think you should put a disclaimer on the Honda civic, although it is cheap to build and is reliable at FBO level, as soon as you start full blown rebuilding the car, the longevity of pretty much everything goes out the window. It becomes extremely unpredictable and parts will constantly break (this is also dependent on the builders skills). Now most parts are cheap but the aftermarket parts fluctuate but are going up, especially on older harder to find parts.
Fact. My 95 Accord Ex had the F22B1 with vtec, that was the K series for that generation. I have a 05 Tsx now 😎 My last car was an 07 Accord Ex V6 #Honda/AcuraGangOnly
This. The cd5 (94-97 4 door) is a literal drop in for an H series. They'll even bolt to the F series transmission if you didn't get the H trans too. Canada actually got accords with the H series in them and should be good for import any year now.
I'm happy to see you have an accord up there. They definitely don't get the recognition they deserve but I feel like the cd5/7 accords are more underrated than the cb7.

13:31 I’ve had my 94 LS400 for almost a year now picked it up for $1300 the interior is a little rough and it’s relatively high mileage but I absolutely adore it!
I agree that the 3000GT is underrated, but if you can find one for under 5k that isn't ridiculously high miles or completely a beater, then I'd be shocked...When I purchased mine, it was a 1997 VR-4 and I got it for just over 39K. Mind you this was low miles and relatively good paint so there was that factor. However I would like to note that they come with serious mechanical issues if they haven't had much attention over there lifespan and my buddy and I have poured a little over 18K extra in repairs and cosmetics just to make it run in good condition. I got mine for a bargain in the grand scheme of the market for these cars which I find the good ones approaching 50-60K. Like I said, not impossible to find a beaten up one with high miles for cheap, but you're going to spend a fortune on repairs. I'd also like to note that the SL model does go for a little cheaper towards the 20-30K range, and finding any of the 1990-1993 3000GT's will make you pay extra due to the rarity of the Active Aero, tunable exhaust, etc. Things that would later be removed in the 3rd generation VR-4 models in 1994-1999.

I got a new edge mustang. Parts are easier than hell to find, and if you wanna go cheap they’re cheap as hell. Also, pretty reliable for what they are. ALSO, v easy to work on.

I'm interested in the JDM cars. Ironically all the car videos you showed seemed to be all LHD. Driving on the wrong side of the car takes some getting used to. Back in the UK I bought a 71 Firebird Formula 455. It was 4 spd manual but had the stupid foot brake instead of a hand break which made hill starts a bit of a challenge. Driving on the wrong side of the road for the most part was fine but over taking was always a bit of a gamble. Getting back to JDM cars, do you have any recommendations for places to look?
Super underrated car is the Honda Accord 6th gen it doesn’t have a lot of aftermarket parts but once you find good o po arts and wheels your all set 🙏 pls add this in a video
Here’s a fun fact for the Honda Accord. If you get an ex model, you can drill a couple holes in a turbo eclipse manifold and it’ll bolt right up and work. I did this back in the early 2000s
Everyone says the 3000GT is underrated, so really it's not, it's just that people have a harder time working on them and the community behind it isn't as large as you would hope; part's aren't hard to find but they aren't abundant either. The prices of 3000GT VR-4s are crazy and a somewhat good SL/Base 3000GT I've been seeing go for nearly 10k, sometimes more. The term "3000GT is underrated" is a lie lol. EVERYONE SAYS IT. This is true too, the lower trim levels of Celicas are somewhat overlooked, though people are starting to pick up on them, slowly... Speaking of Celicas AND 3000GTs I was going to purchase one of them later last year but my parents said no and forced me to buy a Corolla (I'm thankful for the Corolla though). Even cooler is that it was a Celica GTS!
I bought a modified Subaru Legacy GT with racing stripes on the side;) 3 inch headers 3 1/2 catted downpipe, Npboosted Intercooler TGV deletes I love my car. Bought for 4k
What if i said for 5k you can have a mid engine, rwd car? Well then I'd be talking about the Mr2 Spyder. Its the ugly duckling mr2 but when it comes to tuning a naturally aspirated one with garage built parts beat a 600hp gtr! Its probably the best mr2 for track racing and quite frankly is very underrated, plus the mr2 spyder with an apr widebody is pretty spicy lookin in my opinion.(also people say this 2000's chassis is more advanced then the other mr2 platforms and snap-oversteer is less likely to occur) Also Ik you have the na mr2 but those are going up and up in price, at least in CA, so the mr2 spyder is the more universal choice and its technically the better platform.
Good luck finding a trashed down one for less than 5k and much less a nice one. A couple hours ago I saw one with 48k miles with the sequential transmission, was selling for 14k High mile one are 7k-10k
@@djpollo2474 really? I found a couple in good condition for 5k near by, then again prices across the board for cars have been going up, maybe my area just hasn’t been hit as hard yet. Also for what the car is, high mileage isn’t the worst thing, expecting a 20 year old car with 40k miles for 5k is pretty unreasonable. Obvi for 5k your buying a car that just runs and is going to b a bit of a project which as a car guy should b fine.
About Rotary engines the problem is not the engine being unreliable. The problem is to make them reliable you regularilly have to run the car on the redline in top gear. Other wise the engine does not get hot enough to burn off the carbon residue that causes them to be unreliable. Hence people who regularilly go to track days in RX8s and RX7 rave about how reliable they are.
@@mazioarchy i hear you. in my area just a couple of years ago 240sx's were going for just a couple grand, and now i want one, and they are well over 10 for a fair conditioned automatic examples, and theres not many around.

The f22 in the cb7 is a beast. Strong single slammer. Bisimoto has done builds on them making stupid power
Love your vids keep up the good work 👍
I will man thank you
just noticed skyrim ambient sound in the background, loved it.
Nice use of the Skyrim soundtrack in the beginning.
Anyone else notice Far Horizons being played in the background?
Damn I wish I could find a mr2 for under 5k.
Maybe an AW11 or MRS you can but definitely not an SW20.
love the skyrim music on the 3000gt, i drive a vr4 and i love skyrim, really gets me
Z31 is already around 10k here in europe......prices are crazy
Also since you weren't sure if honda makes an F series motor when you were talking about the CB7 accord.........that accord only came with F series motors lol
HAHAHAHA that’s actually the most ironic thing I’ve read, I’m sorry about that. But that’s crazy man hopefully the price will come down
That Skyrim music filling me with nostalgia!
I got a new edge mustang. Parts are easier than hell to find, and if you wanna go cheap they’re cheap as hell. Also, pretty reliable for what they are. ALSO, v easy to work on.
What's the make and model of the car? Hope you don't mind me asking
@@Anonymous-pw7bo 1999 to 2004 Ford Mustang
i have only watched a few of this guys videos but he reminds me of og tim the tat man back when he only had a laptop, and the ammount of work this guy is putting into these videos is truly amazing, i dont know why he is doing these videos wether its to get out of his current situation or just because he likes to but either way this dude deserves the world.
My first and only car right now is an accord cb7 and I love it. Great for getting into the car scene.
agree to disagree the bug eye is my favorite looking car
not my fav but it does look very good if done right and not a big ugly wing and some horrible wheels you find in a dumpster
Super underrated car is the Honda Accord 6th gen it doesn’t have a lot of aftermarket parts but once you find good o po arts and wheels your all set 🙏 pls add this in a video
What you use to record and edit your vids ?
I use a GoPro and just a free editing app
Fix your dang audio, I thought someone was knocking on the door

I want the fc rx7 as my first car-
In aus they're about 30k, for a non turbo one, well, that's my research so far.
just found a 7 thousand dollar one-
a non turbo fc3s lol, my research was horrible
@@prod.felicity dont overpay buddy, not worth 30k
My dream car
prelude deserves to be here
I think the 2012 Nissan Sentra SpecV was ok, it had like 200hp
Yeah those were alright
2004 spec v has 180 hp with 170 lbft. With bolt ons goes easily to 200, vq swaps are very common and plug and play.
Here’s a fun fact for the Honda Accord. If you get an ex model, you can drill a couple holes in a turbo eclipse manifold and it’ll bolt right up and work. I did this back in the early 2000s
do a cheap american car list 👍

you say the 3000GT is under rated but the Celica 5 and 6th gen base model are even more underrated.
I agree there
all non gts celica are pretty underrated, they are very cheap
@@markroden why didn't you include it then?😭
I bought a modified Subaru Legacy GT with racing stripes on the side;)

Skyrim again 🤣

@@MEDxJADE yo how did this happen lol
Love the vid, props for searching all the footage and putting it together, vid very well-put together. Keep doin what ur doin!
Mazda mx5 nb are not underrated at all, especially nb2, they are very desirable
They’re cheaper than NAs but better in every way
Like how you’re using Skyrim roaming music in the background. Love it 😂
I seriously thought i was going crazy
What if i said for 5k you can have a mid engine, rwd car? Well then I'd be talking about the Mr2 Spyder. Its the ugly duckling mr2 but when it comes to tuning a naturally aspirated one with garage built parts beat a 600hp gtr! Its probably the best mr2 for track racing and quite frankly is very underrated, plus the mr2 spyder with an apr widebody is pretty spicy lookin in my opinion.(also people say this 2000's chassis is more advanced then the other mr2 platforms and snap-oversteer is less likely to occur)
Also Ik you have the na mr2 but those are going up and up in price, at least in CA, so the mr2 spyder is the more universal choice and its technically the better platform.
Yeah I will have to agree there, the mr2 spider is super slept on
5k maybe a year ago, now they are all going for the same price as miata na and nb
Good luck finding a trashed down one for less than 5k and much less a nice one. A couple hours ago I saw one with 48k miles with the sequential transmission, was selling for 14k
High mile one are 7k-10k
@@djpollo2474 really? I found a couple in good condition for 5k near by, then again prices across the board for cars have been going up, maybe my area just hasn’t been hit as hard yet. Also for what the car is, high mileage isn’t the worst thing, expecting a 20 year old car with 40k miles for 5k is pretty unreasonable. Obvi for 5k your buying a car that just runs and is going to b a bit of a project which as a car guy should b fine.
The mrs is the best mr2 but it’s so ugly that nobody wants it.
i love the skyrim music in the background😂
Finding an fc under 5K is a stretch
Forgot about the Mazda MX6. Both first and second gen. 1st gen 2.2 turbo for fun, 2nd gen 2.5 V6 for comfortable daily.
fc rx7 has a 1.3l not 1.2l
I'm really rocking with the Skyrim music in the background.
would love to see a top 15 jdm cars under 10 grand ( add a integra in )
About Rotary engines the problem is not the engine being unreliable. The problem is to make them reliable you regularilly have to run the car on the redline in top gear. Other wise the engine does not get hot enough to burn off the carbon residue that causes them to be unreliable. Hence people who regularilly go to track days in RX8s and RX7 rave about how reliable they are.
theres nothing under 5k if the car is in decent shape lol...... everythins worth a pot of gold right now
I’m actually so mad about this because I legit was looking into JDMs and hours into research I find out the prices I was looking at were inflated
@@mazioarchy i hear you. in my area just a couple of years ago 240sx's were going for just a couple grand, and now i want one, and they are well over 10 for a fair conditioned automatic examples, and theres not many around.
The early 00s sentra Spec-V is a great manual transmission daily driver with a suspension that says "you can feel the entire road" i loved it back in the day

describing the nissan sentra while skyrim music is playing, fits too well
The FC never came with a 1.2L, they were had the 13B, turbo or na.
Lmao love this video, and caught the Dark Souls theme in the background
So happy the accords got some recognition and love 🔥🔥
Been looking for an RSX Type S for ages, to upgrade my base rsx. Hard to find under 5k for the Type S, BUT thank you for making this beauty no. 1!!
Have a 1999 Caracus Red BASF refinished and black leather inside 3,000 GT V r4 all wheel drive all wheel steering twin turbo 88k miles. These are quirky cars they do have problems and they do break down. And a real pain in the ass to work on.
Appreciate the Dark Souls background music. 👌
Skyrim playing as background music 👌

Nice video though!
hahaha thanks bro I love using some gaming background music
