to everyone out there looking for the RSX, they will be nearly impossible to find a good quality one without it having like 300k km; prices are going up man.
With all due respect man, you used kilometers instead of miles implying you’re not from America. This video is for Americans man idk the market for any European countries so it would be silly for me to make videos on them. I thought that would be kinda clear by $ sign and American accent haha
@@markroden yes I understand that and I am from Canada, but I am saying that no matter what country you are in; the price of these types of vehicles are going absurdly high, base model or even Type S; with good quality you're gonna be looking at maybe 10-15k.
@@CelestialCarClubif u adjust for currency (add 1-2k to price) u can buy good condition versions of these cars but you have to look longer cuz we have less people. Trust bro. It's harder to find. to add onto the 3000gt with the 2nd gen (1994-1997 i believe) the base models have a 222hp engine so u could have some more power if u like that body style. Theyre also around the same price as previous generations
the 3000gt came in 3 diff trims, base, SL, and VR4. main difference between base and SL was that the motor was SOHC and the SL was DOHC. The base made about 170hp and the SL’s made about 200-220 give or take.
saturn ion redline is a cheap fun little car that comes in manual, not sure how many people remeber this car. makes about 200 from the factory with a supercharger
And I had a 3g eclipse GTS. I loved it! Put a turbo on her and it woke that car up. But she was a cruiser not a racer. And they look the business with the right set of wheels!
Just bought a 99 sc300 with vvti 2jz sliver almost 0 rust black interior with the highest trim option including heated seats traction control ect.. got it for 5500$ with 139k miles, he was asking 7500 but haggled him down been looking for one for about a year and a half now and I will say If you want a clean one be patient, but they are out there just getting harder every year as the prices go up, imo only a matter of time before they are priced above 240s and s13s, also if you’re okay with getting a auto get a 97-2000 it’ll be a fun car that’s comfy to daily and drives like a c4 corvette with a better automatic, not to mention the cars just feel baller and you’ll get asked everywhere you go what type of car that is
Dude! You're good to listen to, BUT.....a little more research please. Altima coupe was not available in the 90s, and the there is a huuuuge difference between the z31 and z32 300z cars. Single cam vs twin cam, single turbo vs twin turbo. Keep it up, just do a little research bro.
Hey Mark, I wanna get an acura TL for my first car. Just wanna know from you what sort of mods I should get at least in the beginning to improve performance.
u forgot about the volvo 240, but also the c30 (only if it´s the r design with 170 hp or more) which is also an very overlocked car. It´s a hatchback from around 2007 with over 170 hp which is crazy. it also has a pretty timeless design which lets it look new, if u care about it, and it also has a kinda luxury interior. Alternativly u could also show the v 70r and s 60r, but I prefer the c 30. Btw reliablity is garanted since it´s a volvo and they are always reliable and never brake ;)
Real. The tan interior was an absolute atrocity to my eyes. I couldn’t believe they felt comfortable sending them out the factory looking like that. And 9.9/10 times the driver’s seat has a rip in it which makes it look even worse with the just slightly different shade foam showing through.
The true underrated sports cars are the ones even Mark Roden does not recognize: Hyundai Tiburon, Toyota Solara, 2000s Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2000s Pontiac G6, 2000s Pontiac Grand Prix, Honda CR-Z, Scion TC (He does talk about this one in other videos), Volvo C30, and Chevrolet Cobalt SS. I'm sure there are ones even I'm forgetting, so feel free to let me know. But yeah, these are my top picks, the main reason being they are uncommon or they are not considered sports cars, even though they should be to me. Why BMWs are on this list though is beyond me. People primarily buy those cars for the clout.
Super under rated car that has 270hp leather power seats, is turbocharged, has adaptive suspension, bluetooth, harmon karden sound system, 6speed manual, four seats, and a useable trunk: 2013 Buick Regal GS. It’s a rebadged Opel, and it looks REALLY good. Comes factory on I wanna say 18in alloys that look fantastic. And they can sound really good too. You can pick a clean one up for 4,500- 7,000 depending on color, and mileage.
@@GordyBroLooked it up and sorry but to me it looks kinda ugly. The features sound good, but you can get them on so many other cars. And it doesn't matter how much hp it makes if nobody wants to race it. Maybe you can fix it though. You do you man.
@@ethangrimborne8427 to each their own. I understand why most people wouldn’t like them. They’re kind of like a lot less cool version of the Chevy SS. They just weren’t marketed.
I wonder if Mark's talking about me when he mentions people saying BMWs are unreliable. The 3 series to be fair is the poor man's BMW, so maintenance on it won't be nearly as bad. However, considering he's showing a late 2000s, early 2010s 328i, reliability is going to be muddy. Have fun with oil burning, and the xdrive model certainly isn't cheap in terms of maintenance. Now, if properly maintained, it can be reliable as it does have solid construction. The problem is many people don't maintain it properly. Heck, they don't bother using turn signals LOL. And BMWs don't take kindly to neglected maintenance. Plus there are finicky interior bits that are literally designed to break so BMW can make money selling luxury parts.
Want a Lexus sc when I was in highschool but could never find one. And now when I see them I can’t buy it lol. 5k is still a good chunk of change to save up. And now with wife n kids lmfao idk if I’ll ever be able to get one
You could make a video where the videos of the car represent what you pay for them. Normally you show pictures of modified versions that costs 3 times the 5k you say.
I just wanna put this out there that the 328 is not the same as the m3 the video showed and does NOT come with the turbo i6. The turbo is the 335i and has the n55 or n54 the 328 has the n52. That is all.
None of those cars are 5k or less than 5k here in my country, the Del sol , a good example of one goes for at least 10,000 €, at that point I'm better off buying a Mercedes... (the CRX it's cheaper going for 5000€ [no vtec] but I'm sure it drinks fuel like a divorced dad drinks bears)

My 3000gt says it makes 220 hp in the owners manual
There were SOHC and DOHC engines in the 3000gt. The base model was tge SOHC that made about 170. And the later sl trim DOHC made 220.
Nissian Altima transmissions are guaranteed to fail at 100k I know multiple people that it’s happened to
as an owner of a 328i e90 that shit does not have a turbo, but its still a fun car. 👍 (i bought mine for 2k)
