Absolutely, best bang fro your buck in the low and mid tier price ranges of any car platform are the C5 and C6. If you can get the Z06 versions you're doing even better.
That mid 90's to early 2000's trans am ram air is a great car. It feels like you are in a rocket ship when you sit in it. I had a white one when I was around 17-18. Ideally here for the 1998-2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, you’re only going to find the V6 versions of these cars that came with the 3800 series 2. For under 5k. If you do find a V8 version that came with the LS1 for under 5k. It’s either a roller, the engine is in real bad shape or it’s high mileage.

The Firebird you specifically mentioned is a 4th generation F-Body car, 1998-2002 specifically. The generation actually started in 1993, however, had LT-1 until 98, when the LS1 came out. That optional hood was also only available on the later LS1 cars. These cars were also effectively identical to the Camaro's in virtually every way save exterior styling. We warned, these things make the 5th gen Camaro's handling feel like a Porsche; the 4th gen cars were not known for handling at all, especially the overly flexible T-Top variants.
@@lewokejames The T-Top, along with the Hard Top and Convertible, were all variants of the Firebird. Popularity of each variant is immaterial to either the term "variant", or the point I was making, which was about flex. But, yes, the hard tops certainly were rarer.

I just not too long ago picked up a 2011 MazdaSpeed3 for myself. A nice sporty hatchback, a little vented hood that gifts a beloved turbo underneath for the general public to enjoy on the streets for “casual” driving. Toyota Celica 7th gen (after 2002 for GT, any year for GTS) is definetely the best choice. They're not very fast with 140 and 190 hp but they feel extremely sporty, instant throttle response, light suspensions, very low and engine that likes to scream high. @@subliminal9144 I have a 2001 TS (european version of the GTS) and my oil consumption is fine at 130kkm. Everybody complains about the Genesis bk2 not being reliable. But, within 10 months of ownership of a 2013 GC 2.0t I can say that if u give this car a good care, it will be fine. For example, I use Royal purple engine oil and I change it every 3k miles. I also use premium gas ONLY, skip or try to skip every single pothole/bump, and I ALWAYS let the engine and the engine oil warm up before I move the car from its parking spot. In addition to that, I try to not get the RPMs go over 3k (unless I’m going up a hill or if I’m racing ‘ofc’). With this said, I just want to mention that my car has a squeaking noise that I don’t know if it’s coming from the exhaust or the turbo, suspension sounds like bed springs, and sometimes won’t go in gears (especially 1 and 2) Btw, I bought the car with a high mileage and I’m waiting till it gets warmer to start fixing all these problems and have my baby healthy.
I've had several pretty cool cars in my lifetime. The best car I ever had was a 1986 300 z I bought it in 1991 it was tight fast it handled better than any car I've ever driven. I had a Corvette and loved it but the noise that the T tops made the plastic dash it was maddening. The 300 was quite good looking and cost much less at the time than other cars I had. I've wanted a 350 for a long time. Used they have always been reasonably priced. Can't go wrong they are made well and run forever.
The Mitsubishi 3000gt/GTO has definitely started jumping up in the market. The Dodge Stealth R/T is extremely similar and costs far less but is more common in the US. Oh, and it's a RWD, so it's great for drifting.
The MR-2's successor, the MR-S is also a great deal because it is practically a 9th gen corolla but mid-ship and RWD. Looks fantastic with the right paint.
Wow I own one of the cars you've mentioned! I have a z4 and people dont believe it's a 2004 model, its design was so ahead time ! Ans I love the sound of its motor!
bought a 1997 3000gt SL with 116k miles for $4250. had the abs light on, needed a new battery, fuel pressure was high, needed a new belt, and some minor cosmetic details. so still under 6500 after repairs. putting down some more money for a new paintjob since the hood has sun damage, but its still a steal. these cars with even a million issues are still going for 8k plus or even 10k with low miles like mine had. are they fast? no, but its like the rule of the miata, we calculate using smiles per mile, and you get a lot of them, even before you realize everyone is looking at it because it just looks that damn good.
I bought a A4 B7 2.0T Quattro for 2.2k service records out the a$$ 6 speed manual and it’s too nice to describe. Easy to maintain yourself as well. Like you said just wheels and tint and this thing is done basically
Had a bk1 3.8 Genesis track ediiton 6spd, full coilovers, 20" rims, whiteline front and rear adjustable end-links, whiteline front & rear sway bars, trans mount, short shifter, cat back exhaust, car was very nice, no problems, looked amazing. Had a bk2 2.0T, stock, fun car, quick, and another geat looking car by hyundai. Now I have an audi a5 2.0T convertible, handles great, deceptiviely quick, with a tune, intake, dp, and cat-back exhuast, your pushing 300whp, and 340tq, while riding in a quiet cabin, looking good. Not a cheap car to keep running, but a ageless beauty indeed.

True, although it's worth mentioning that if you plan on getting a turbo for it, k20 is a better option, but I would keep it NA, the Honda engineers knew that its not all about hp

Never imagine could hear DS3 OST here when I am ready buy car hahaha, DS3 really with me from my high school time to my PhD life, thank you!
The things I would do for a WS6 Trans Am...
"Bumblebee" ALRIGHT STOP PLAYIN WITH EM‼️😂
You cooking with NOS content right on your 👃. I love it.
Idek what that means lol but yessirrr

I've had several pretty cool cars in my lifetime. The best car I ever had was a 1986 300 z I bought it in 1991 it was tight fast it handled better than any car I've ever driven. I had a Corvette and loved it but the noise that the T tops made the plastic dash it was maddening. The 300 was quite good looking and cost much less at the time than other cars I had. I've wanted a 350 for a long time. Used they have always been reasonably priced. Can't go wrong they are made well and run forever.
The Pontiac Firebird is my dream american muscle car
Same her but the prices are high now
My dads got 2 and I love them
I'm an American Muscle gal, but even I know that the Acura RSX Type S is a pretty nice ride, and that MR2 2nd Gen is still FIRE 🔥🔥🔥
Loving this list Mark
Thank you bri
The Mitsubishi 3000gt/GTO has definitely started jumping up in the market. The Dodge Stealth R/T is extremely similar and costs far less but is more common in the US. Oh, and it's a RWD, so it's great for drifting.
The A5 comes with a 3.2 V6 or a 2.0t! Not 1.8 :)
You’re right, my bad I kinda felt like I was making a mistake there
The MR-2's successor, the MR-S is also a great deal because it is practically a 9th gen corolla but mid-ship and RWD. Looks fantastic with the right paint.
I looked at basically all these cars. Settled on a 94 300zx 😎
Looks better than all the cars on the list haah
My uncle has a c5 and I’m in love with it. Sounds and looks beautiful
100% ON THE VETTE - nice list overall
Wow I own one of the cars you've mentioned! I have a z4 and people dont believe it's a 2004 model, its design was so ahead time ! Ans I love the sound of its motor!
i thought my game was open in the background lmao great music choice gotta love ds3
I thought we would see the sc300/400, I’ve heard you mention them. Great vid tho!
decent but not as cool looking as the 3000gt
I seen a super clean 1st gen 3000gt with 50k miles going for 5000 on craigslist last year. I took a nap and it was already sold by the time I woke up
Can you make a vid based off horsepower numbers ? Like cheap cars with 200+ horsepower etc…
I like the Acura TSX. Nice looking car and you can make it look better. Comes with 200hp
RSX Type S, but cheap good ones are getting harder to come by. The VVTL-i Celica GTS with some bolt ons/tune was also quick and handled great.
Loving the Dark Souls 3 Main Theme Music in this video.
Finding a good condition 3000GT / GTO is bloody impossible nowadays ngl
In Europe, right now, in good condition one costs around 15/20k/25k.
@@vennice6313 England I found a decent one for 7k
bought a 1997 3000gt SL with 116k miles for $4250. had the abs light on, needed a new battery, fuel pressure was high, needed a new belt, and some minor cosmetic details. so still under 6500 after repairs. putting down some more money for a new paintjob since the hood has sun damage, but its still a steal. these cars with even a million issues are still going for 8k plus or even 10k with low miles like mine had. are they fast? no, but its like the rule of the miata, we calculate using smiles per mile, and you get a lot of them, even before you realize everyone is looking at it because it just looks that damn good.
I need to get my 3000gt up and running asap-
I bought a A4 B7 2.0T Quattro for 2.2k service records out the a$$ 6 speed manual and it’s too nice to describe. Easy to maintain yourself as well. Like you said just wheels and tint and this thing is done basically
Make a good bad ugly for 328i e92
I don’t do those anymore but I’ll do something around it
Had a bk1 3.8 Genesis track ediiton 6spd, full coilovers, 20" rims, whiteline front and rear adjustable end-links, whiteline front & rear sway bars, trans mount, short shifter, cat back exhaust, car was very nice, no problems, looked amazing.
Not a cheap car to keep running, but a ageless beauty indeed.
the 3000gt NA acrtually came with 2 engines dependant on year, one had a SOHC engine as mentioned making 172~ HP and the DOHC 6G72 had 222HP :) 10 year GTO/Money pit owner
Yep...my pappy's still got his..just had the pleasure of driving it from CLT to Tenesee...4 hours + of driving...Still a blast to drive..and I have several fun cars myself all stick of course..
(95 Manual PGT with mods)
(2010 MAnual Kia Koup Forte with Mods)
(2018 WRX STI with Mods)
pappies 91 Dodge stealth has the ES DOHC engine..220 horse...and takes some time to rev up...but makes decent fun power..the car feels wide, and larger for sure...not really a nimble little rocket..a more SUBSTANTIAL GT with those really long gears..Future mods Once I inherit it will be lowering springs, and exhaust system..and proper low profile tires....Currently has VITEK Ignition wires, and a K&N Intake filter..thats it....but STILL gets ALOT of looks..teh car sits VERY wide..and fairly low..so its a total looker still...
This is exactly what I was looking for!! Thanks
Hey man, great vid. Rsx’s came with a k series but all of them were k20 (2.0). The TSX, accords, 9th gen si were the ones with the 2.4 k24, but still super great list and love to see how u put the v6 maro, may not be v8 but still worth it!
True, although it's worth mentioning that if you plan on getting a turbo for it, k20 is a better option, but I would keep it NA, the Honda engineers knew that its not all about hp
Wait, the c5 corvette can be a daily driver?
Why not? The LS engine is very reliable
Absolutely if you don’t got kids or snow
90s ford thunderbird sc is underrated 😩just got one definitely deserves a list spot
The SuperCoupe and the 98-02 Grand Prix GTP or GTX definitely deserved this list
Love the RSX but am NOT a fan of the NSX. That WS6 was a 4th Gen. I'm not a mustang fan but do think they look good. The 3000GT is one of my dream cars. My daughter is 13 and has wanted the BMW Z4 since she was about 6.
Not sure if you got my comment but thanks for the Z24 spot in that video!
W opinions besides the NSX one
i love the music that you used lol, its reminding me to play it again 😂
You cant find a trans am in decent condition under 7k 😂... I used to look on the market every day for one and no luck.
My dad bought a 99 firehawk for 4k in Boston when I was 10, that was his 3rd firbird and 5th f body v8 car he had and it will always stick out in my mind
I’ll find you one there all over my feed
My dads selling his rn for 5k so I guess I gotta see if he’s a skinwalker now
3000GT's electrical issues are absolutely horrific unless you can just replace the harness and all electronics yourself lol
Great vid but dont forget that 3000gt under year 1996 even base model came with DOHC 220hp and after 1997 base got SOHC 162something HP but I think under 5K in America you can get the SL model which came with 220hp fwd in all years. Great work keep it up 👍
on market place i only see them going for 5k plus usually around 8k in my experience
i have a base model i bought for 4k, another sl i was looking at had an exhaust leak, but was around 3.5k. this was just over the summer, they are starting to go up a bit so i suggest getting them soon! always have people taking pictures whenever i pass 😂
Most if the 3000 gt's I've seen with decent mileage are north of 20k
@@Niner4life12 some vr4s are not even that high, most need some tlc and you're fine
@@alittlebuzz just found a 96 with 84k for 8k but think that is a little high it is a manual
great video dude, you really gave me more options to look for. 🔥
Yo can you like stop bringing so much attention to the 3000GT. We don’t need them to be ridiculously over priced. I have an SL and I want to get a vr4 so chill bro….
Lol dawg I love the car I wanna talk about it my bad
@@markroden you good bro obviously I’m just playing but I resly hope they don’t get ruined fr lmao great videos bro love the content
no way bro pulled out the dark souls 3 soundtrack for the bg music
Who's here before this video has a thumbnail

@@markroden HM: the Pontiac GTO/Holden monaro for those in the land down under, comes with a 5.7l LS1 on the '04 model years or a 6.0l LS2 in the 2005-06 model years prices are doing pretty good on them now, I found one with a 6speed in the 11-12k price range.
i love how you got dark souls music just casually chilling in your background music LMFAO
I just got a bk2 genesis coupe, but always wanted a 3000gt or 4th gen Trans am 😭. This 3000gt was parked next to me and I looked at it like "damn... One day"
do u like the genisis
Bk2 is valid,is it 2.0t or 3.8
Ayyy valid choices tho
Been trying to find a bk2 2.0t with the paddle shifts price are fluctuating, saw a good one 2 months ago for 8k with only 80k miles but it got snagged found some others though slightly above 10k
That thug bunny riding the bomb looks pretty cool.
Finally someone putting a Mitsubishi 3000gt in their vid
I typed in Used 2003 Chevrolet Corvette and i get 25k like what? where do you look for used cars?
z4 is a nice beginner friendly manual car, slow af, light clutch, and drives like a road legal go-kart
I have a c5, s/c swapped to a l33 5.3 with forged everything and a fat cam. 700 whp in a 3100 pound car. It is hilarious what this car can absolutely destroy while looking amazing imo.
Toyota mr2 also comes with a 2.0L turbo charged motor. That’s the one that most people are looking for.
12:48 I will say one thing about this tho. If there's a car that is nearly impossible to get insurance on as a 25 yr old guy. It's this
My buddy had a ‘98 trans am t-top with the ws6 package. All black, leather interior. So 🔥
Pretty good list ngl. Good job!
IMO the Pontiac Solstice (2006 - 2010) is one of the best-looking cars ever. Excellent economy, 177 hp on the base model is pretty quick for such a light-weight car.
great cars for hair dressers
One of those firebirds on the list just came down my street screaming last night right before I closed my garage door and it just came down the street screaming just a few minutes ago!🔥🔥🔥🔥
I went with the C5 Corvette. Easy and cheaper to get power, don't need a turbo.
