When did you have the transmission fluid replaced if I may ask? I have a 2003 325 XI with 80,000 miles-- never had the transmission fluid changed. I am wondering if I should have it done. You hear a lot of stories about transmission fluids-- do it, don't do it--- it can cause problems. I have zero transmission problems and don't want to cause myself any trouble along these lines. I can't remember exactly when but whatever is recommended in the owners manual is when we would have done it. We haven't had any issues and have done all of the recommended maintenance.

I'd say top it up before replacing it

Yeah we painted and put that bumper on
