As BMW specialist... I will tell you unequivocally, that the v12 850Ci is insane to recommend anyone to buy. Good luck maintaining the car and finding parts.
Which is the most worn part on Scottys 94 celica? The engine hood hinges. Scotty drives the car just 500 miles a year but opens and closes the hood everyday for youtube videos 🤣
My last two cars I've owned are BMW's, and both of them have been solid. My first one was a 2010 335i 2 door coupe with the M-sport package. I had it for over 3 years and sold it to get a 2014 550i with the M-sport package. Bought it at 36k miles and I still have it at 64k miles. I put stage 2 Dinan packages on both of them and have not had any problems with them at all. Powerful and fun!
All issues will start happening around 100k miles. My 2005 330xi was a dream to drive when I first bought it in 2006 but my major mistake was keeping it way too long which cost me thousands and thousands in repairs.
👍👍 most of it comes down to how the car was maintained. If you want to buy used it’s best to purchase a ‘slower’ once because the owners most likely took better care of it
@@wolfofwacker4578 This is one of the dumbest statements regarding a car's reliability. There is no chance you can know how reliable a car is if it has under 60K miles. I had a 2011 corolla bought it brand new and put 400 000 km on it. I changed the front brakes, oil, and spark plugs once. Now put 300 000 km more on your BMW and then come and talk to me about its reliability. My brother's 2013 535i front axles, water pump gone, passenger door not locking, rear door making funny noises, all this at 140 000 km. Pure garbage compared to a Toyota.
Yes, E30 great looking car, E46 great car, E90/92............ absolute minefield second hand but a rare experience and an absolute must to own for the full BMW experience, cheap to buy and you never know the ugly dog could be the next appreciating classic.
alex west E46 M3 is already an appreciating classic, missed my chance on an E46 M3CS for £10k last year, by the time I had the cash together it had gone and there’s nothing under £18k now. Only thing holding back the E90/92 is the infotainment system, it’s easy to go classic with a classic dash/radio/cd system. Ugly and outdated screens are a hard sell, like a clash of tastes. I know this guy hates bimmers but for all their faults and quality control issues they are one of the best sports saloon/sedans on the market. I can jump into any BMW and instantly know what to expect, how to drive it and have now major adjustments to deal with. Put me in a Merc I’m lost, put me in an Audi I’d fall asleep.
Apart from VANOS failure, cracked coolant expansion tank and cheap plastics, I love my E46 330Ci. The M54 engine is solid, as long as you change the oil regularly.
@@Vitoman901 the m54 is almost identical to the m52, the key difference being the dual vanos. And they don't turbo quite as easily with the more complicated engine management.
Mine doesn't use oil either. Another common place for oil consumption are the piston rings. I heard they deteriorate over time a little, not sealing perfectly and causing oil to leak through and burned at the top of the cylinder head.
I had a 6cyl 2.3 ltr 3 series. Very fast and smooth. A core plug blew once and then a fuel pump relay failed but hey, it was a solid car and felt so stable even at 120mph.
oldstocks crazy had one as my first car when I was a kid sold it on a whim forever missing it great car awesome color combo 88 325i salmon silver red cardinal interior m pack
I have the last year of the last great BMW: 2005 E46 with a manual transmission. It's been trouble free for 2 years now. I'm holding on to it forever! It's true--they don't build them like they used to.
Me too. I have one. It's a Collectors item. And no one knows how to drive my car. They come get me, Ma'am ( at bmw) can you show me how to start your car... 😂😂
@Blu Sol Celtic 323i has the m52b25 170hp engine and the 325i has the m54b25 192hp with electronic throttle. The m52b25 will also do around 192hp if you swap the intake of an m50b25 onto it because the stock one is restrictive
I had a 2002 325xi that went to 276,000 miles. It could have kept going, I just thought I needed a change. Followed the maintenance schedule and had an honest BMW certified mechanic in town when things went wrong. Paid $39,000 for it out the door and 15 years later sold it for $4K. I miss that car. 😢
@@WDGary is true but what makes me wanna give up on bimmers, is the repair cost, mostly for the V8 540i, oh my goodness, here in soflo, they wanted 5000$ to rebuild the engine because some coolent got in the engine, the car drove, but no power, and it was a manual, hard to find, i can get a decent honda for 5 k, yeah, not feel same, with my 540i everyone look at me, now everyone just avoid me, save money too. My ought6 325 CI is magnificent. It has had one problem. The starter wore out. That's it. Scotty is a crotch rocket junky, that's okay. He does DRIVE drive. That's why he likes front wheel drive cars. They are hazards.
My 2003 E46 330i is a beast! A little care goes a long way. I learned to do most of the work myself so I’ve accumulated a number of tools for the trade. Actually easy to work on. Once you do a few projects.
Still have my 2003 E39 530i M Sport. Never needed anything major just your common things like tensioners, water pump(put the metal impeller) etc. Absolute beauty to drive. The E39/E46 were peak BMW imo.
I brought a 04 330i xdrive last year cuz the honda i brought as a back up car incase my bmw 335i broke just wasnt doing it for me... This bmw sat for 7 years plus 1 year in my possession cuz i was busy and lazy.. it started, sounded like crap and misfired... did an oil change, reset the computer, changed the tires, and it started up smoothly like i just parked it there yesterday... and has not given me any problem except the front seat driver seat not going back anymore and the fuse for the radio going out. Compared to my 335i, this 330i drives so much more comfortable and feels like a cloud in comparison. This is my third bmw and I am tied to the brand
04 330ci here. Couldnt agree more. This car is way easier to work on than i expected. And the parts are way cheaper than people make them out to be. I actually enjoy working on this car. My next big project is flushing the coolant and changing the head gasket.
Garryd Hintz Japanese electronics and plastics seem to last forever lol. The navigation infotainment touch screen in my 2006 Lexus ES330and 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser works just like it did when I bought them both new. All the plastic trim and wood grain is immaculate, not a single crack anywhere. The only cracks I’ve found (this is on my 04 Solara Coupe, 05 Land Cruiser, and my 06 ES330) is on the headlight stock. Just a tiny crack starting, doesn’t affect the functionality
@@805NAVE that's because of the hotness , which is much higher than in Japanese cars, heating up and cooling down cycles, destroys all plastic parts, most of the plastic supplier for every car brand is China
That E series was no joke man! My mother had an early 90's one she paid 1000$ for in like 2000 at a garage sale. Drove it for 6-7 years straight without missing a beat, just changed oil on it. Not to mention it was a standard transmission. Definitely great memories in that little car.
My Mom had a 1969 BMW 1600 stick 2-door. Looked just like the 2002. It was the lesser known model of the two. It was a “surf vehicle”. 36 mpg on the road. No A/C of course.
I think the E39 should be on the list too. It had some issues with electronics (traction control module, power Windows, power seats) but the fundamentals of the car like the engine, transmission, and suspension are very well built. I got one with 180k miles (bought it when it had 90k miles) it’s still running like a champ!
Scotty what about the BMW M3 E46. Personally I feel that was one of the best M cars built throughout all time history. Really showed what BMW where capable of achieving.
@@alexvaldes7075 more like fuel pump, doesn't seem like a vehicle breaking issue, but people are dumb and never realize it failed. An engine without the water cooling usually doesn't end well.
Scotty : *uploads video on which BMW he’d buy* Me : *goes to buy that BMW* a few months later Scotty : *uploads video on why the same BMW is a plastic garbage money drain*
I had a BMW 2002 back in the 70's. We took the valve cover off and it made a popping sound from the release of the cylinder vacuum - it didn't even have a gasket! It didn't need one, as it was machined to exact tolerances; you just dripped some oil and torqued it down. Amazing car!
None of the BMWs Mr. Kilmer recommends are practical as daily drivers today. Yes, I'd buy any of these as weekend toys, if I had the extra space. Good daily drivers - E46 or E9x 328i with N52K engine, manual transmission. These easily go 200K miles with a bit of cooling system and suspension maintenance. The difficult part is to find one that hasn't been trashed by previous owner(s). The plastic intake manifolds of these cars, contrary to the claim in this video, are practically indestructible as they typically outlast the M54 and N52 engines. The $5,000 dollar diagnostic tool is useless for these cars, but there are dealer level diagnostic tools available for almost no money. The key is to figure out which codes are current and relevant.
Impressive i had a 2003.5 e46 m3 and took good care of , ended up fixing/replacing the vanos solenoid and smg pump. Aside from that it was a good reliable car i sure do regret selling , the new owner ended up crashing it smh sad.
I had a '93 E34 that I absolutely loved, and while every maintenance thing was expensive ($3K for brakes), it never broke down or required anything other than routine maintenance for wear and tear. It was quick, sporty, and comfortable, and did wonders for my single lifestyle. After marrying, I parted with that car and got a 2007 E90, which was a rocket on a roller skate and a ball to drive, but required over $8000 of repairs TWICE (turbo and fuel pump) during the three years that I leased (fortunately) it. My parents both owned Mercedes and wrote checks for those cars like a bad habit, so when the lease on the E90 came up, I turned it in, bought a Nissan Armada that I still own today and vowed never to buy another German car in my life. Between that and my wife's Lexus ES300h, we spend nothing on cars; they just run and run and run.
Amen brother. After owning 5 German cars and 3 japanese cars I decided never to buy German again. My 2008 335i while beautiful and fun was a nightmare. Constantly in shop and any trip I took involved mapping out BMW dealerships along route in case of emergency and yes I had to visit one half way across USA as it acted up in mountains. Got rid of before warranty over
I'm a Honda guy, mom had two BMW 5 ; BMW drive like a dream, feel like tanks, at 100 MPH one can't feel the speed. But when they go bad, boy are they expensive!. But both BMW lasted at 140K miles with little maintenance, they are not bad. Although most of My Hondas have lasted easily 225 with no problems.
I'm a valet driver and I drove a late 2000's or early 2010's BMW 5 series and to my absolute shock, the car had 291k miles. It was a little clunky but damn it was still clean. I have no idea what went into keeping it going that long wow
So Scotty love your videos , as far as BMW's are concerned I have owned them for decades , I follow the Maintence schedule to a "T" and have never had a problem. BMW is an elegant car , drives perfect , beautiful to look at stylish . My 2011 550 has never been in the shop for broken parts just wear items. I will keep it till the wheels fall off it.
@@TheZulajin Yeah, same with the new "supra". but I mean... BMW made and manufactured the turbopumps for nazi V2 rockets in WW2, so they know about that boostlife. LOL
@@thnktank1 jets, turbo's, rockets etc.. are pretty much the same thing almost. They're basically just airpumps. Just very sophisticated, but can be VERY powerful when fueled or propelled by alcohol or something similar.
I have an 1999 E46 323i with 325,000 miles on it. The automatic transmission decided it had enough by then, but the engine is running as smooth as ever. Daily-drove it for 15 years in Michigan.
I owned many BMW's years ago and they were bulletproof. I really got disappointed the last decade and stop buying them. I'm looking at Porsche instead and may buy one. The quality and materials are amazing and they remind me of earlier BMW's in the European tradition. Good review.
The E46 have some serious design flaws. like the metal plate that the back axel is connected to is very thin, so when it starts to rust the car gets what's called "subframe disaster" they also have some sensor problems like the speedometer stops working.
@@kristofferhaugstad7616 The e46 (some) had a weld issue with the subframe. It was put on recall at one time. No car is perfect, but the e46 was the closest to it ..in it's time. I don't have an issue with either of my e46s subframes 03/325i sedan 204K miles & 04/330ci 185K miles. You would spend near $100K to find a new car handle and outperform my '04 e46.
Old school guys IME love 1. Inline cylinder configuration 2. Manual transmissions And hate 1. Computers 2. Plastic 3. Any new technology that hasn't been on a platform for more than 2 years I've never been steered wrong by guys like Scotty. Stick to the basics and if it goes beyond that make sure it's tech that's been on a popular platform for a few years with no major issues, especially if it involves the engine with emissions and what not.
e90 is a good balance of luxury, no nonsense, reliable parts and performance in a car. They are dirt cheap now. You will spend a lot to bring it like new but it's better than modern cars, IMO.
Thanks Scotty for giving a shout out to the 2002! I drive my '74 almost daily and get looks that are priceless. I do miss A/C on really hot days in Georgia.
I have a “ modern “ BMW 528i 2013 , after several Honda’s , Hyundai’s , Chevy , Ford etc and I can tell you one thing: I will never go with another car but BMW. It’s stylish , reliable, awesome on gas for the type of car you get, it’s the best smooth ride I ever had. And if you are going to say older cars are better made than the new once , well , that’s not just about the BMW’s Yes, electronics ... well, my friend, it’s 2019 .... everything is electronics, get over it. The world goes forward not backwards.
See how many are left when they are 20 years old...plastic generation Any diesel 4 or 6 banger in a Bmw is a crying shame I don’t care if it’s 1000mpg and 500bhp
I had a BMW e46 330ci. 18 years old. Only the fuel pump and a coil broke. Coolant system no problems. Water pump was replaced a few times. That was it. Not bad for 350k kms.
e46 325i, 330i and of course the e46 m3 are all works of art and the pinnacle of bmw in my opinion nothing drives quite like them. scotty trippen big time for not talking about it in this video the m54 is known to be a reliable unit almost bulletproof if maintained properly my e46 325i has 149k miles and runs perfectly
So.. as a BMW owner for over 20 years, I have to agree with your list for the most part. I've owned a 1972 BMW 2002tii, still have the motor, after a MAJOR rear end accident in that car I bought a 1968 2000ti and swapped the TII motor into it. The motor had 450k before the oil pump failed. Next I've owned a 733i, 1983, last year they had a manual transmission in the US, that car being big and long, the handling felt like a smaller car for sure. A suggestion for the last model of great BMW's is the E36, especially the M3. I've owned one of these and it lasted to 450k miles, at that point the interior started nickel and dime-ing me to death with all the plastic interior parts, the motor was still running strong. Great video, keep up the great work!
Got to 160k miles in my 2015 BMW F30 330i without any issues. Then I got hit by a truck that ran the light at 60mph and the car came in clutch cause all I had was broken ribs and my 7 month old had no injuries. Will get another one.
@@st.thomas5802 Oil, filters, tie rods, water pump, coolant, power steering fluid, right front brake caliper, transmission and differential, fluid and also rear brake lines were replaced last week because they were badly corroded, i've had the car for about a year and a half.
@@peterburt2905 Just bought two owner 330ci with only 60k absolute stunner in blue metallic/grey leather! Can afford newer but just love the shape and style! Runs like a Rolex!
@@brucebevan3099 Yeah, I still love the E46 shape too and those strait sixes are good aren't they? BMW hit a sweet spot there. Only 60k on yours. Nice . I wish mine was that low but I just can't resist those weekend road trips ;-)
I always hear BMW were great up until the new millennia. So anything before 2000 is a 👍. My fav is 850 CSi with stick shift and best of all, pop up headlights.
I have a n55 335i. Thing has been pretty reliable for the 100k+ I have owned it for. Leaky valve cover gasket is the only thing I have had to replace on it. Drives better than any other car in it's class from that year, oil change every 5k and stay on top of wear and tear items. They focused mainly on reliability going from n54 to n55.
I will never buy a BMW for one reason -- the sales personnel at BMW dealerships are arrogant, pompous snobs. My net worth is north of $2 million but because I stopped at a BMW store in bluejeans and polo shirt one day, I was treated like dirt. So I went to a second BMW store just to see if the treatment would be the same. It was.
Wise decision, most of the drivers are also arrogant snobs. Where i live, You’ll also get charged 20% higher for insurance agst similar brands like merc/audi/jag. Statistics say ppl who drive this brand tend to crash more.
We have always loved our E90 (2006 330i) and it's the nicest car I've ever owned. It does absolutely everything I tell it to do. Yes, we had to replace the composite transmission cover at 139K miles and we've replaced the ignitors (easier than on our Toyota Sienna!), but ECS Tuning and such have great parts and since we've got the tools, we do a lot ourselves. (QuickJack has rocked for all our cars!) I'd love to bring it by sometime and see what codes you could find, though. There's always something that needs repair on most of our vehicles because the newest thing we own is 2008 and we've got 7 cars/trucks and 4 bikes. The kiddos use our vehicles so they don't need a new car payment, so having a fleet actually saves us a pile 'o car payments. Still, something needs an inspection every month and nothing is faster than our VW Jetta VR6 but the GSXR. I know you don't love VWs, but that thing is amazing with almost 600hp to the wheels. Still, it sure costs more to maintain than our Tacoma, so you have a point. Keep the videos coming and keep healthy while you can!
I had a 2002 E46 BMW 320i. I had it for 6 years. In Finland, one of the toughest places for a car to be. From freezing winters, wet seasons, and a hot summer, to potholes and gravel roads. And I never had an issue. I gave it hell. I regularly blasted it 200kmh on the highway. I drifted it. I launched it. I rev'd it. And I only ever had one coolant leak that took 50€ to fix. I then sold it to a friend, and we got a BMW specialist mechanic shop (Not licensed and expensive, more of an enthusiast shop) to look at it and suggest any major fixes. There were two minor oil leaks. An air sensor that needed cleaning. Rotten fittings on the exhaust pipe. 500€ to fix all that was wrong, and to change the oil and filters. It's never had a major repair for 24 years and 230 000km. And it still doesn't need one. And it has been driven rough and hard, in one of the most brutal conditions.
E36 owner here. Apart from the rust which kicks in over the years, I really love the car and imo one of the last BMW models which you can buy without spending tons of money to keep them running.
2002 330cic here... What an awesome car pure b m w driving pleasure. About my 14 th bimmer and have it about five years now. Drives like a dream, certainly needs attention once in a while and worth every penny. Really nice power without being too much to lose the rear end.
Some texting distracted soccer mom in her giant modern SUV would literally run you over and squish that old BMW like a can of soda. Those classic BMWs are good for a weekend drive on the back roads only.
I had a 2000 750il with the V12 engine. The engine was impeccable. Bit everything else on it was crap. Something was drawing power from the battery and killed a pair of batteries every year. And it had 2 batteries so it wasnt cheap. Something was throwing codes, messing with the cooling system, burning out thermostats. The car would die if I had less than a quarter tank of gas in it. All the plastic things like housings, hoses, reservoirs became brittle and eventually fell apart. Everything but the engine was a total wreck. Only 97k miles on it and had to get rid of it. I now have e39 540i. Engine is smooth as butter, not so many electronics and everything works, knock on wood.
Well Scotty, Congrats on the 1 billion ‼️ I’m a shade tree mechanic who always checks you out before taking on a new repair task on my 2002 Expedition with 230000 miles on it. Thanks for helping it get to that mikeage‼️
3 years ago I picked up a beautiful E39 2000 523i with 209 000 kms on the clock and parked on the side of a road with a for sale sign for just $3000 (down from the asking price of $9000 after a bit of serious negotiation). It needed a few things done like new front shocks (job done for $450 including new Munro shocks) and the headlights were very cloudy (fixed in 2 hours!) and a few other minor bits and pieces. 3 years later, I've still got it and love driving it. Plenty of ooompf, smooth, quiet, luxurious and a real pleasure to drive. Very glad I bought it!
Idk if it’s just me but it’s always funny af when he laughs and then he puts an animal smiling or laughing on the side of the screen too gets me every time 💀💀
The 2006-2011 e90 3 series with the inline straight six engines were actually pretty reliable bmws i had 2 and both were pretty solid 1st one never had a single issue and sold it with 155k on it running good still. 2 one i had 1 coil pack go out arou d 100k and i sold it little while later but thats a good engine
I bought my 06 325i, everything works great except suspension and arm bushings since day one(2 years ago). Still run with all those faulty parts but I'll change those this week.
1998 328i rock solid to 180K miles (rear ended). 2002 330 230K miles rock solid (still running and over 270K mikes). 2011 335i rock solid (turbo maxed out, better clutch, fixed all oil leaks, ~350whp). These cars require more MX but reward those willing to maintain. 3rd BMW and will continue to buy more. Amazing driving experience.

If you want to buy used it’s best to purchase a ‘slower’ once because the owners most likely took better care of it
@@thomasjefferson6080 'slower one'? Can you please explain what you meant?

e46 too!!!!!
alex west E46 M3 is already an appreciating classic, missed my chance on an E46 M3CS for £10k last year, by the time I had the cash together it had gone and there’s nothing under £18k now.
M54 consumes way too much oil. The M52 is way better in that respect. The M54 is very tunable tho.
Vitoman901 if your m54 is using oil you need to check your CCV. Mines doesn’t use oil

Old school BMW were built like brick shithouses. Electronics and plastic are the downfall. But that's the case with all brands now.
Garryd Hintz Japanese electronics and plastics seem to last forever lol.

Oil, filters, tie rods, water pump, coolant, power steering fluid, right front brake caliper, transmission and differential, fluid and also rear brake lines were replaced last week because they were badly corroded, i've had the car for about a year and a half.
Well... I'm driving an E46 and I'm really happy with that.
So you should be.
@@peterburt2905 Just bought two owner 330ci with only 60k absolute stunner in blue metallic/grey leather! Can afford newer but just love the shape and style! Runs like a Rolex!
Thinking of buying one here soon they’re cheap around here and seem to run pretty good
Best bmw
@@brucebevan3099 Yeah, I still love the E46 shape too and those strait sixes are good aren't they? BMW hit a sweet spot there. Only 60k on yours. Nice . I wish mine was that low but I just can't resist those weekend road trips ;-)
I always hear BMW were great up until the new millennia. So anything before 2000 is a 👍. My fav is 850 CSi with stick shift and best of all, pop up headlights.
So 99 e46 ? Lol
ParanoiaGentleman that is in general but yeah right.
Scotty: Praises BMW
Toyota: Do I mean nothing to you?
😂
I will never buy a BMW for one reason -- the sales personnel at BMW dealerships are arrogant, pompous snobs. My net worth is north of $2 million but because I stopped at a BMW store in bluejeans and polo shirt one day, I was treated like dirt. So I went to a second BMW store just to see if the treatment would be the same. It was.
Joseph Van you got any tips for 24 year olds like me?
Wise decision, most of the drivers are also arrogant snobs. Where i live, You’ll also get charged 20% higher for insurance agst similar brands like merc/audi/jag. Statistics say ppl who drive this brand tend to crash more.
I get cheaper rates because it's safe!
Read my review above. Love my '06 325i
@@peterbush1595 where’s your video
The 2002 e46 is in my drivway running great.
Mine broke a radiator hose in the drive through it was awkard as hell XD
I saw the whole video but I am so dizzy I cant remember what I saw
Next time don't follow the hand movements... Haahahahahaa!
It happens to me all the time with Scotty videos 🤣 it's bcuz he says a hell lot of stuff 😐
Scotty is a living legend, its a blessing to still have you putting up videos 🙃
I owned an inka (Orange), 2002, brand new in 1976...the last year BMW made that model. I loved it. An amazing automobile!
E36 owner here. Apart from the rust which kicks in over the years, I really love the car and imo one of the last BMW models which you can buy without spending tons of money to keep them running.
What about the e39? They're quite reliable too, if you ask me
And 540i
Emir Dail e46 & e39
Emir Dail m5 ain’t that reliable the e34 is better
And who are you to ask?
@@sneakysnake7695 just curious about scotty's opinion on the e39, why? I can't ask? :D
I had a 2003 M3 and i always regret selling it. Now I have 2012 M3 from new and I will never sell it. Love my Toyotas too.
Same. I drive 11 m3. But love the rx400 too
2002 330cic here... What an awesome car pure b m w driving pleasure.
About my 14 th bimmer and have it about five years now. Drives like a dream, certainly needs attention once in a while and worth every penny.
Really nice power without being too much to lose the rear end.
The 635CSi is my all-time favourite BMW coupé. Its I6 is legendary.
Love the Shark!
Scotty’s second pick from these BMW is the only one I would buy . As Scotty says : “they are pretty zippy and fun to drive with manual transmission “
Drive your crap toyota
Some texting distracted soccer mom in her giant modern SUV would literally run you over and squish that old BMW like a can of soda. Those classic BMWs are good for a weekend drive on the back roads only.
I’ve done 200k over 8 years in modern (2012 & 2016) BMWs. Not a serious problem to report. Great cars.
Im still driving a 94 540i as my work car. Still pulls like a train
Is it the manual one, if so that’s badass
@@BmwMe-uh9sy Its sadly the auto, but it has a new valve body and dinan shift software so it makes it "Better", but not great
You Wish I’ve seen tons of Lexus and Toyota’s with 3-400k miles with original auto trans
Getting 13 MPG lol
Got 93ym 540 M60 ftw
Well Scotty,
Congrats on the 1 billion ‼️ I’m a shade tree mechanic who always checks you out before taking on a new repair task on my 2002 Expedition with 230000
miles on it. Thanks for helping it get to that mikeage‼️
E46 M3
Idk if it’s just me but it’s always funny af when he laughs and then he puts an animal smiling or laughing on the side of the screen too gets me every time 💀💀
The horse pictures are the best
I’m an ex BMW tech and I have always said the e46 is the last of the good BMWs
Hw about the z4 3.0i straight 6?
Jake Jameson yea give u that one but as they got newer models they got worse is where I’m going
Cul I get what you mean, hve a blessed one ahead.
What’s a good older bmw with a good modding capability?
He's informative when he finally gets to the subject matter.
I've have a 2016 BMW 335 Touring for 3 years and it have been amazing.
No issues so far. 3.0 Diesel (+300hp) with quite low fuel consumption.
The 2006-2011 e90 3 series with the inline straight six engines were actually pretty reliable bmws i had 2 and both were pretty solid 1st one never had a single issue and sold it with 155k on it running good still. 2 one i had 1 coil pack go out arou d 100k and i sold it little while later but thats a good engine
last good BMW i bought was a 2011 328i solid straight 6 engine!! after that came the garbage 4 cyl turbos.
I bought my one owner 2008 328xi 6spd MT with 80k miles on the N52 engine about 4 months ago and so far I am very happy with it.
I bought my 06 325i, everything works great except suspension and arm bushings since day one(2 years ago). Still run with all those faulty parts but I'll change those this week.
As time goes on, I find Scotty's videos more and more interesting and informative. Thanks for the invaluable info.
