Really enjoyed this, it’s clear you put a lot of work into it! It’s also nice to see someone have a sense of humor about Batman/DC/comics, made it fun to watch!!
Because that's the problem. The line wasn't written to be funny. It was written by Frank to make Batman sound cool and badass. People hate it not because it's not funny, but because it's not befitting the story he's trying to tell and indicates that Frank Miller is a wrinkly, oversized 12 year old. Frank Miller thought that that line was badass. The fact you find it hilarious is a damning indictment of it.
A few inaccuracies: Joker didn't sexually assault Barbara on The Killing Joke, Dick is straight, the furry costume wasn't Catwoman's first costume, Catwoman stripping wasn't a cut storyline, it was published with some censorship, All-Star Batman and Robin was never cancelled, it was just unfinished, Batman: Damned is set in the same universe as Azzarelo's Joker, but that's a one-shot, not a miniseries
That incarnation is leaps and bounds above the Jim Balent version, that's for sure. Fun fact: if you ever see the black and white pre-ink art of Balent's Catwoman, he doesn't actually draw her suit. He just draws her naked in a mask and lets the inker put the suit on her. The inker literally always has to censor the nipples.

Blade Runner being Canon to Aliens makes perfect sense. What’s the complaint here? Their worlds have the exact same societies. Massive corporations, Space Colonies, Synths, it makes sense to be the same continuity.
I'm kinda disappointed that you didn't mention that the costume designer for DCEU deathstroke apparently wanted to have the leave of shadows symbol on deathstroke's sword. Someone online posted an edited Halo Covenant symbol and titled it as the League's symbol. The costume designer saw that and slapped onto the sword and you can see it in deathstroke's first scene.
It's actually worse than that. The emblem isn't even a Covenant thing. It's just one of the Halo Multiplayer emblems. Deathstroke is repping his Halo 3 multiplayer Spartan in battle. Fitting, Deathstroke sounds like a 2007 gametag. Especially since when he debuted he was called Deathstroke the Terminator. Which is just... so bad. It's funny, Teen Titans had to just call him Slade because of the word "death" being verboten in post-9/11 American cartoons for a time, but it's so much better. "Slade" is a good, strong name. It's a homonym for "slayed", it works perfectly. "Deathstroke" makes him sound like the kind of guy who would put his Halo 3 emblem on his sword. Deathstroke sounds like some sort of gooner thing, like "keep going as you waste away and die, with your final time being your deathstroke".
There were so many parts of this where I legitimately could not tell whether you were being serious or sarcastic about your opinions of certain Batman media, and that added so much to this.
This video just missed that one crucial thing that made every other iceberg video I watched very enjoyable: Voicing over the title of each item. Regardless, it's still good.
50:12 - Not just Ashley Scott. Dina Meyer can be heard talking to her over the communicator. We don't see her, but it's definitely her voice. So they brought back two Birds of Prey actors for this scene. Oh, and technically, Mark Hamill didn't play a live action in that series. Yes, you hear his voice, but its dubbed over a different actor. Man, they were so close.
I created a Batfamily OC named Batlad (real name Duncan Slater), who was actually taken in and trained by Nightwing after a tragic accident that took the life of his boyfriend. His outfit colors are black and yellow.

Oh and one last weird side note regarding Scooby Doo. In addition to a Guess Who episode (with Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamil as Joker), there was technically another movie in 2020….only instead of Batman it was Scarecrow. That movie is also kind of weird and I honestly kind of love despite it’s flaws 😅. Also as far as I know this makes Scarecrow the first DC villain to appear in a crossover on his own without any heroes or other villains
I kinda like the idea of Scooby-Doo is canon in the DC universes and we don't see or hear about them is because they're dealing with low level villains mainly Insurance Fraud and nonviolent Robberies, hell I'm going to headcanon the Spooky Space Kook his suit was a broken prototype Mr Freeze suit that Mr Freeze threw away

Yeah There are but yeah that series wasn't really good, from what I can remember there was even some hype about it because of the actress but after that that quickly went away especially after they recast her in the 2nd Season
I'm probably in the minority when I say this: I really like the joke tiers at the end of the videos and the one in this video is BY FAR my favorite. When I first heard the voiceover, I had no idea it was Pigpen himself talking because the filter really disguised his voice. On top of that, the dialogue was great and sounds like a legit conversation people of Gotham would have
@@mauricedeceased while I don’t care for making joke tiers anymore (unless it’s a special occasion), I do agree this is easily the best one. It’s a bit cringe but in a good way imo. Thanks for the support!
Really enjoyed this, it’s clear you put a lot of work into it! It’s also nice to see someone have a sense of humor about Batman/DC/comics, made it fun to watch!!
I was shocked when I saw you didn’t even have 1k subs Jesus, you deserve so much more, props on this video
Seriously don't understand why people hate the "God Damn Batman" line. It's pretty hilarious.
Because its not a very Batman thing to say and is edgy for no reason
Because that's the problem. The line wasn't written to be funny. It was written by Frank to make Batman sound cool and badass. People hate it not because it's not funny, but because it's not befitting the story he's trying to tell and indicates that Frank Miller is a wrinkly, oversized 12 year old. Frank Miller thought that that line was badass. The fact you find it hilarious is a damning indictment of it.
You make the best fucking iceberg explained videos
.
Love this content. You’re gonna blow up for sure king 🤴🏻🙏🏼
It's about time batsy had his own iceberg.
Love the use of the cartoon network bumper
Oh god I didn’t realize how long this video was until I was 18 minutes in and was like “Wait that was only the first layer?!”
That radio segment was cool would love more stuff like that
A few inaccuracies: Joker didn't sexually assault Barbara on The Killing Joke, Dick is straight, the furry costume wasn't Catwoman's first costume, Catwoman stripping wasn't a cut storyline, it was published with some censorship, All-Star Batman and Robin was never cancelled, it was just unfinished, Batman: Damned is set in the same universe as Azzarelo's Joker, but that's a one-shot, not a miniseries
Yes he did. He shot her, undressed her and took photos of her. That's sexual assault. Sexual assault isn't exclusively r@pe. jfc
I'm sorry, did you just call Catwoman's Long Halloween suit bad? That's like, objectively wrong. You can't say no to those muscles and whiskers.
Muscles epic
Whiskers cringe
@@Pigpen_YT the long halloween skin in Arkham city is really great
Based pigpen
That incarnation is leaps and bounds above the Jim Balent version, that's for sure. Fun fact: if you ever see the black and white pre-ink art of Balent's Catwoman, he doesn't actually draw her suit. He just draws her naked in a mask and lets the inker put the suit on her. The inker literally always has to censor the nipples.
Only sad that “I’m the joker baby” joker is missing
54:11 you really aren’t alone on that one. I really love the ship as well, and have become fascinated by it for the whole year honestly.
Didn't know people were shipping Batman and Harley I guess I can't be too surprised seeing how fans had shipped Batman with everyone
@@tykamen5588 there is a lot of truth in that honestly. You would be surprised that he is also shipped with Barry and Hal.
@@emilypatriciagarciacanals1039 fans are shipping The Flash with Harley?
I doubt anyone actually cared about the fact batwoman was a woman
just search batwoman sjw on youtube and you will find a million right wing grifters exploding and making shit up about Ruby Rose being "anti men" and all that
@Ai7A you replied to literally all my comments about this. Genuine snowflake
This was a great vid. I loved the creativity of the last section
Really great video, I especially enjoyed all the old Batman advertisements between all the tiers, You’ve definitely got a new subscriber :)
The real commercial breaks in between remind me of Rebel Taxi.
My inspiration for making content
Okay so I checked out those three Badman videos you recommended and holy hell I did not expect to laugh this hard in a long long time 😂
Omg the Penguin one an absolute banger to watch and quite literally too 🤣
Heres to the steady growth of your channel man👌
43:17 those worms were like, "yooo, dark knight and suups over there just taught how to feel, and think and.... YO this wave of emotions is _wack_ let's just *bail* before things get any worse."
Batman iceberg let's fucking go! You just earned a subscribe sir.
*cocks gun* Why is nobody talking about the Powerpuff girls Vs The Joker episode? That sounds so good and I want to meet the Warner Brothers CEO that turned it down.
Great iceberg video. Also love the ads you put in there too
another amazing execution of the final tier in the iceberg btw, loved that. also interesting in-unierse theories. anyway awesome vid
Blade Runner being Canon to Aliens makes perfect sense. What’s the complaint here? Their worlds have the exact same societies. Massive corporations, Space Colonies, Synths, it makes sense to be the same continuity.
That Chris-Chan joke aged... I dunno if well or not.
But jokes aside, great video! I learned a lot!
I suggest increasing the volume in your mic. But overall a great video
Chris Chan jokes will never be the same after July 30th
My sense of humor is so fucking destroyed that Melvin Brother of the Joker looped right back around to being hilarious
This video just missed that one crucial thing that made every other iceberg video I watched very enjoyable:
Voicing over the title of each item.
Regardless, it's still good.
This is my favorite iceberg video, it's very entertaining, keep up the good work
really fun! and interesting, love the energy you put in the narration, hoping more in the future
Off topic but I love how you used DC Universe Online music! That game was big for my introduction to the unknown things in the DC mythos
Batman are you gay?
Chris bat Chan: "look into my eyes...i can't be more serious than right now. I have a subscription to playboy."
This is my comfort video
50:12 - Not just Ashley Scott. Dina Meyer can be heard talking to her over the communicator. We don't see her, but it's definitely her voice. So they brought back two Birds of Prey actors for this scene.
Oh, and technically, Mark Hamill didn't play a live action in that series. Yes, you hear his voice, but its dubbed over a different actor. Man, they were so close.
Birds of Prey was a weird show
@@Pigpen_YT I must admit, I have only seen the first episode, because of that Mark Hamill cameo.
I created a Batfamily OC named Batlad (real name Duncan Slater), who was actually taken in and trained by Nightwing after a tragic accident that took the life of his boyfriend. His outfit colors are black and yellow.
1:35:48 It feels like you’re talking with an NPC from Fallout 3 ot New Vegas, where you click on all the questions and they give you all the answers, and you stop talking only after you clicked all the dialogue options.
I remember playing Gotham Imposters back in the day. Was a decently fun time
Why I lost 1 hour and 40 minutes of my life in watching this? Am I stupid?
Why I spent months making this video? Am I stupid?
@@Pigpen_YTwhy do I keep watching this over and over? Am I extremely stupid?
38:38 "and, of course, my wife Harley Quinn's design never changed because she's perfect."
PREACH BROTHA PREACH 🗣️🗣️🗣️❤️🖤❤️🖤
Neat little tidbit: The Lego Batman DC Superheroes Unite film is mostly rerendered cutscenes from Lego Batman 2. They couldn't be bothered to go and make a new movie, just reused a plot and added bits to make it a little longer and obviously filled in gaps that would have been levels. Much like the Ratchet and Clank movie but I think that was the other way round
Batwoman “controversy”
Yeah controversy isn’t the right word. Failure is.
In Brave And The Bold during the song “Drives Us Bats” when Music Meister hypnotizes all of Gotham, there’s a part of the song where it’s the villains of Arkham. Black Manta and Clock King sing together just for a small part
Black Manta “Even without Shark Repellent”
Clock King “He’s tougher than he seems”
