Fantastic work on this new bathroom. ❤ You're a multi-talent. Here in Germany you would need for the same task at least a plumber, an electrician, a mason and a painter. You did all on your own. Absolutely great. 😃👍
This is the one where you replace the cast iron stack and tie it in to the old sewer line. Crazy shit that’s important to know how to do. Old houses are the real challenge. Great info. And great job.
This guy is my hero. Always take everything down. You never know what's hiding, or has been covered up. Great video. Fantastic work! Thank you for teaching!!
I learned something new here... fill the tub full of water before caulking the tub to surround joint. This way, the caulk will not stretch and break when regularly used: very clever solution!
another beautiful bathroom. Glad to see how much you’ve grown since you’ve started this channel. You really deserve the attention and followers your hard work pays off and is much appreciated
I want to add this? The man probably enjoys his pace and having control of the entire process? And giving up some of the profits is acceptable! To that I have tremendous respect for him!
why giving up some of the profit? He is taking the profit of the tiler, the plumber, the roofer and the electrician, so I am sure he owning a good buck out of such quick and correct quality work. Here there is 3 weeks worth of work; I guess he earned between 4 and 5k
At 6:55, instead of going through the additional work of notching the rim joist to accommodate the pex, why didn’t you just drill a hole and run the pex up from the backside?
Remodeler here, I’m guessing it’s a cold wall in the northern climate, wanted to have the supplies as close to the inside wall as possible then get as much insulation as possible behind it to keep them from freezing.
Thank you! A few years ago I was researching how to redo our master bath. I came across a video (that after you got past the first jago not doing any work and just yammerin on at the beginning) then I heard this guy who knew his stuff and hearing him talk boom I was right at home. I haven’t lived there in many years but as they say “you can the yinzer outta the burgh but you can’t the burgh outta the yinzer”. 🖤💛 My grandparents had a house built in 1882 with the dirt floor still in the basement. I love these old houses - my wife not so much. Maybe one day I’ll move back and buy an older house like this one and restore it. Many thanks for sharing with us your skills and new ways of doing things.
Thank you 😊 I’ve recently been looking at homes in New England, specifically Stowe Vermont. And I’ll say, Pittsburgh had some real tradesman back in the day. 1900 homes here were built way better than up there from what I can tell so far. Most houses here in Pittsburgh you have something structurally sound 👍
I love everything about this other than the osb subfloor. in something like that..atleast t&g plywood but advantech preferred. Its not that much money!
Literally doesn't make sense how fast you did all of that! So much knowledge required, like way more than even tradesmen realize who do only one trade. The plumbing alone is remarkable. And quickly you did the demo. I'm pretty slow and tidy. I should really be quicker and more aggressive with tear out. Without meaning to sound like a jerk but for the argument that you did everything to code, I feel that this was like a timed skills competition. It really is bizarre you were able to schedule, have material, tear out, roughing and finish in that time. Again not being a jerk but people really have no idea how much work and knowledge was displayed in this bathroom in 120 hours. You were not just in the bathroom, you demoed main floor, the basement stack, then did roofing for the stack AND the fartfan! Wow! I'm a master electrician in BC by trade and did a few full bathrooms in my time and do them well and proper, but never to the requirements like that. Never had to mess with the stack. So Awesome BRT
The home was mine and had to be completely renovated before selling. So that helps a lot. No care at all of how much mess was made. All my tools were lined up in bedrooms ready to go. It’s amazing how much wasted time comes into keeping things clean and grabbing tools from trailer 😂
@BathroomRemodelingTeacher well I certainly appreciate how you get shit done. You've encouraged me to expedite my demo efforts. I'd like to get one of those intake exhaust filtered fan tunnels. Not that it's a perfect solution.
The problem is that here in the US you're not even allowed to do half of that plumbing work without being a licensed plumber which is roughly a 4-5 year process. Not saying we shouldn't regulate plumbing or qualify plumbers somehow. But most good carpenters and remodelers aren't going to go back and take a paycut for 5-10 years just to get qualified for plumbing, electrical, etc. This stuff isn't rocket science, a smart guy who's been around will be able to learn and figure it out fast. But the law makes it damn near infeasible to tackle multiple trades legally, unless you started with one specialty like plumbing or electrical, and then moved into general remodeling and carpentry.
I'm a certified bonded master electrician that is a licenced contractor in BC. What a gong show getting all that paid for and qualified. I certainly appreciate and support permits and people who are qualified and assumed able to do it right. What I know about MR. BRT is that there is no way he would keep getting work if he buggared up any one of the many hats he wears. I'm not talking at anyone here just my impressions. I live up in northern BC where houses were thrown up over night and I deal with so much shitty and dangerous work that has the "eff the next guy" feel to it. I try not too but get very irritated when something has clearly been done wrong without effort or respect interns of DIY. So I'm am all for permits as I see a massive value in it being done right with oversight. Maybe the inspector does a drive by approval but it weeds out a large percentage of shit when a permit us involved Where BRT fits in is that I do FEEL he has a strong grasp on proper code for all things bathroom and even beyond that and wouldn't question any of his methods as often he is testing his installs for leaks. So ethi g even pros don't do.
This is amazing-thank you for sharing your craft with us ❤ Just please wear protective gear-after a 14 hour day remodeling my own basement my lungs are on fire and all I focused on was the subfloor and underlayment. You however are working on a very old bathroom in a very old house-protect your lungs 🙏🏽
I did basically half of a 100 year old row home and I was unlucky when it came to the sheer amount of plaster and lath. Looks like you got lucky there.
Do you apply the Kerdi membrane on the wall all the way down over the lip of the tub, to the top of the tub? Then when tiling, do the same...tile all the way down to about 1/8" above the tub and fill that 1/8" gap with waterproof silicone when tile work is complete?
Great work. Should have squirted some PL400 on the joist heads before laying the OSB and for insurance, used MC instead of Romex in an old home remodel. You never know where mice will chew and nest!
Great work. Is drywall with Kerdi fabric (or similar) a better choice than Kerdi foam board (or similar)? Tub could have used more protection while working in/above it.
Beautiful work! I just have one question. Isn’t it a no no to run a water line across the top of an electrical panel? I am just wondering about that, don’t mean to criticize.
How do you even anticipate all of those steps, and all of the things that could go sideways in order to give an accurate estimate? Do you just think it'll take you 3 weeks x whatever you charge per week?
I especially break the project down per day. Took me 15 years to be proficient at it and another 5 to be fairly profitable 😂 I do have all the materials and estimates in my course., the materials list is extensive and wish I would have created something like it from day 1 👍
Some of the best plumbers aren’t plumbers at all…good work. People don’t give even GREAT remodelers like yourself enough credit. You have to know what to do in situations across the board that “tradesmen” like myself will never encounter. What floor heat system is this?

Man you transformed it in to a luxery bathroom!!! The green tile and gold fixures is a perfect combination too. Great Job!
This guy is my hero. Always take everything down. You never know what's hiding, or has been covered up. Great video. Fantastic work! Thank you for teaching!!
If it wasn’t for this guy and his videos…I would never succeed in bathroom remodeling!
I learned something new here... fill the tub full of water before caulking the tub to surround joint. This way, the caulk will not stretch and break when regularly used: very clever solution!
this guy has done this MANY times!! Great bathroom transformation!!
Gorgeous finished product! Your knowledge, work ethic, and attention of detail is excellent. Thank you for showing the process from start to finish.
Amazing one man band What a fabulous job That was my first time seeing this gentleman He’s very good 👍
Incredible percision
Efficiency
Inspiring
So fun watching you from start to finish. So much work! Kudos to your camera operator for filming and editing.
I think that’s the last one she’ll do like that 😂 as I’m tearing it all out, I was asking her (my wife Nikki) why don’t more TH-camrs do this stuff 😆
Beautiful color choices, beautiful hardware choices, beautiful, finished product! 🙌🏼
Very nice,! Great wall tile color, thanks for not going gray!!!
been remodeling homes for under 10 yrs now. demo is my favorite parts of any reno. but this demo looked like hell. oooof hat tip brother
another beautiful bathroom. Glad to see how much you’ve grown since you’ve started this channel. You really deserve the attention and followers your hard work pays off and is much appreciated

I have been there and done that . There is usually some surprise's and a few OH MY GOD'S but the end is always GREAT
What an amazing transformation this guy is a machine good job
tebrik ederim bu kadar güzel olurdu her şeyi yapabiliyorsunuz mükemmel kolay gele
Fantastic video. The way it is edited and everything is top quality. I like how you work, very much. Truly impressive. You do well. 💪🏻
Great job done by a professional.
Insane, the amount of work this takes. Your a bad ass man!
Great video and wonderful job on the bathroom.
I am 4 minutes in and have to take a nap. Fantastic video. I am soaked and dusty, wondering if this will go back together.....
That is a work of art Beautiful Job
Unbelievably efficient, master work
hard work, good job, pay off, very nice 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice work. I would leave the big showertub out, and put a lower one. The amount of work is the same.
Or a walk in shower.
Wonder if pink tiles will come back in fashion. It's gorgeous!
Wow! A no bullshit craftsman!
Very nice and clean looking. Great job
Amazing craftsmanship
Amazing work start to finish..
Stunning Work !!

Great work.

Bravo, well done. Thanks for sharing. Great video
True professional and an amazing job

My guy went crazy on the demo!
Beautiful job!
Here for the "40 yrs in the trade plumber" complaints / tears.
great work!
Great tile work!
Awesome work as usual, thanks
I did basically half of a 100 year old row home and I was unlucky when it came to the sheer amount of plaster and lath. Looks like you got lucky there.
It can much worse I agree 👍
@BathroomRemodelingTeacher Absolutely. Don't know what you're in for until you start the demolition.
Great workmanship ❤❤

Crazy transformation
Lovely job mate 👍👍👍👍
Thanks 😊
Awesome work as usual,
Tile guys do it ALL!
Beautiful
Great work
Awesome work. I’d hire you anytime!
Very nice !!

Nice and simple 👍🏽👍🏽
Great work. Is drywall with Kerdi fabric (or similar) a better choice than Kerdi foam board (or similar)? Tub could have used more protection while working in/above it.
Thanks 👍 Be sure to protect your tub Dave 😆 and it’s a liquid waterproofing mesh. Easy to find on amazon 👍
I think the most impressive part is how he did the remodel in less than 30 minutes.
Some people go to the gym.... Steve goes to work
came out great!
Couldn’t fit a c hair between that toilet and the wall. Thats some proper planning
Actually a red c hair might fit!
Cool video, but why route water lines over the electrical panel, assuming I seen it correctly?
Small query, no insulation in walls, ceiling and floor? Would be covered in black mould here in the UK within days.....
Wow !😊
Where did you learn how to do all of this? I work in remodeling and luckily have great coworkers who have taught me a hell of a lot.
Hiring people and watching what they do 👍 now you have this 😂 that’s why I wanted to be a part of it 👍
That’s the one. Doin same in my 1905!
And people wonder why us contractors charge what we do. Much respect sir.
Would have kept that cast iron stack. Nothing wrong with it and much quieter than PVC.
Beautiful work! I just have one question. Isn’t it a no no to run a water line across the top of an electrical panel? I am just wondering about that, don’t mean to criticize.
Yes potentially could lead to a huge mess. If it fails and water runs down the line and drops into the box over time.
amazing.
Lotta demo 💪
Bon travail
Are you padding exterior walls for insulation or to level them
Primarily to provide enough insulation behind water supplies. Leveling is an added bonus 👍
There are thousands of construction guys that do this everyday all over the world.
How many days from start to finish……..excellent project…😊
@@jcasillas2373 15 days 👍
Tile behind the vanity +1
dont think its code to have grounds on the neutral bar. I could be mistaken
Superman🎉

@@BathroomRemodelingTeacher Thanks, and keep up the great work. I remodeled my bathroom 3 years ago with your guidance. Happy Thanksgiving.
Open those windows you found! 😂
very nice
Not sure why you dont do vapour barrier, guessing your climate is temperate. Still would consider it though.
Is that mold on the wood and stuff.
Pittsburgh air in the early 1900s 😂 coal from the steel plants. Covered every home
Why no ceiling insulation?
what tool is that for cutting around the toilet
Probably a grinder for the old toilet. Can’t remember
Some of the best plumbers aren’t plumbers at all…good work.
People don’t give even GREAT remodelers like yourself enough credit. You have to know what to do in situations across the board that “tradesmen” like myself will never encounter.
What floor heat system is this?
Warming system 👍 th-cam.com/video/Oo1q1jkTsRg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MILT8iNjOGJUdVBt
No vapor barrier on ceiling and on exterior wall at all?
Nope 👎 all problems around here!!
Where can I send a Burke bar?!
Plot twist: the lower floor is dirty as before 😂
Why are bath tubs in the USA so small? Unlike European baths where an adult can stretch right out. Nice work by the way
🤣👌👍💯I like to work with you Sir
Outstanding work bro.
You work in Chicago, Illinois
When you find a window in your wall. I thought he also found an American Standard in his wall.
I vote this daddy for president of the United States 🇺🇸 thank you for your service
