Thank you to everyone for all the amazingly kind words in the comments, and for being with me on this journey! I can't believe its been 4 years. If you'd have told me when I was graduating high school that this is what I'd be doing with my life, I would never have believed you.... Life is strange, and wonderful, and through the ups and downs, its an amazing world, where any one of us can truly be anything we want to be. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share my journey with you, and am so excited for what the future holds... a big announcment is coming soon :) Much love to all of you, and thank you again for watching my videos to make all this possible.

That would be me. I've watched the entire video. I think he has been so involved in this for four years his ex (Kim) knew she'd never be able to have any say-so if she moved in. This is HIS BABY....and NOBODY can do a thing to it. It is fancy and unique, just maybe not EVERYONE'S EVERYTHING. I can't believe he didn't put an elevator in the building!

I started work on my house in 1995, as a farmer it meant working on it after 12-16 hours on the dairy farm. I doubled it in size, from 850 sqf to 1700 but I ran out of money to finish it and now at 65 years of age my body is thoroughly beat up after 50 years of working 60 - 80 hours a week, I still hope to see my house finished one day. it was very inspiring to watch this video, I am deeply impressed with the amazing job you did on this project. I wish you good health and all the best for the future

I started watching the series shortly after my daughter died. My creative Muse was just obliterated. All my 3-D printers were silent. I was making nothing. I was watching videos like yours and some others to try to get going again, but during the journey more stuff started happening to me. I lost my brother during Covid to Covid. Two months later, I lost my only grandmother. My health drastically went downhill and the last two years I have nearly died three separate times one of them a doctor OD’ed me in the hospital and put me in the ICU. But long story short I’m still here and this series kept giving me the courage to get out to my new shop and renovate it. We hold.

I live in DeKalb, IL. I am super impressed. I showed your channel to my husband and said see honey, he got this entire job done and never got mad or yelled out obscenities. He said why would anyone show you. I said look at Gordon Ramsay and Robert Irvine. Plenty would show that.
We are doing a kitchen renovation. I hope it gets done fast. I am tired of eating microwaved food and washing forks in the bathroom. Major props to you for setting goals and accomplishing them. Most people would have stopped before they started.

Man, to say I envy you would be a massive understatement. DIY is a huge passion of mine, and I love to create. Sadly, due to my disability I could never take on a project so massive. This serves as motivation to start pursing the things I can do, and stop saying what if.
As for the loss of your beloved cat, my sincere condolences. I lost my faithful companion Precious just last week. She was my whole world, and I was in her life from the first second. I had to help her out of the birth canal when she breached backwards. I was her human from her first breath and I will never forget that love, nor the pain from losing her so unexpectedly at only 8 years old. That pain is unbearable, but we learn to keep moving and find our joy again because they would never want us to be sad. No matter how lost we feel without them, their presence never really leaves.

I have 4 plants with a reservoir. I have a pump that circulates water around them. In the summer I keep it about 76. I make a few extra gallons of the nutrients up and just freeze them in Tupperware. Then just drop one of them in each container. Keeps it plenty of cool. I am above a pump house so the ground can get cool. I actually use an aquarium heater to keep it at 70 when the lights aren’t on.

To the person that commented that part of the video for the word carcass the Meaning of Cabinet carcass does not mean road kill this is the real definition of cabinet carcass "A carcass cabinet is the framework or body of the cabinet" And modustrial I love this video of the process that happened to make the warehouse what it is now. Thanks for providing the awesome video. Another thing I would recommend is for that viewer that made that comment on the carcass word I would use the other word "carcase" so it does not trigger viewers... Even though cabinet carcass means something way different then what that commenter said.

In truth, my friend, I started this journey of yours that I just saw almost at midnight yesterday (November 01) and I kept going until that epic end. It was the first time I came to your channel and I was impressed more than the amount of techniques, tools, friends, company collaborators, but above all, the impressive ability you have to overcome, not only the (surely) thousand and one things that came up as you advanced in your project, but also those three immense things that happened to you in the middle of the development; the big health problem (you are so lucky, my friend!), the death of your feline friend (it sure hurt a lot) and the separation from your partner at that time. You really are very resilient!
I congratulate you for still finishing your project in a good way. (by the way, my greetings to Tex) Bravo for this chapter! Congratulations from Chile, South America!!

It's absolutely INCREDIBLE how fast these people do these projects. Think about how long you would spend in between each of these steps figuring out what you SHOULD do, before you try to figure out how you can do. I can only imagine that everyone doing this has been doing it for years (and dozens of prior projects) in order to have the knowledge of how to basically "speak" renovation "fluently."

Hard to believe it's been 4 years since I was randomly suggested a video about a former attorney buying an abandoned building, glad I clicked on it. It's been an awesome journey to watch. When I see the things that you've tackled in renovating this place, whether it was something you've done before or not, it makes me think; "Maybe I can do some stuff around my house too". Looking forward to see where you go from here. How about an epoxy computer desk that's basically a diorama of the final battle from Avengers Endgame??

It must be fun to demolish stuff in the US: wood, plywood and cardboard all over the place. If I need to demolish stuff in my country I'm screwed, it's brick, concrete and steel rebars even in internal walls.

The four-year renovation of the abandoned warehouse in Chicago is a testament to the power of vision, collaboration, and persistence. It showcases the possibilities of blending historical preservation with modern innovation, ultimately creating a space that benefits the community and sets a precedent for future urban renewal projects.

I've just found your video today and watched it from start to finish. You've done an incredible job and also you seem like a really nice guy so it made it twice as enjoyable to watch. I'm now subbed.
Ps. As an Englishman its so nice to see an American who puts their oven into the cabinets so it's at eye-height! No idea why that hasn't caught on in the US. You can see what you're cooking and you don't have to bend over to take things in and out.
