Who bought this car? Kind of odd design because it looks part Continental with the suicide doors, part Chrysler, part Mercedes. Ava Gardner easily the most beautiful actress ever.
The legend was that these cars, as beautiful as they are, were so weak structurally that the doors would open if a major up/down chassis incident occurred, like crossing railroad tracks. Any truth to this?
@@legendaryclassics I hope you didn't take this the wrong way. It wasn't meant as an attack in any way, it's just that it doesn't justice to the car and the clip. I know this is TH-cam and it's difficult to maintain a civilized tone here. So no personal attack.
@@fastnbulbouss Brother, I think you need to go down to walmart and buy some 1.75 reading glasses. This video is quite clear to me. It is so clear, in fact, I can make out the race car in the reflection of the paint at 1:33 to be a 1955 Mercedes-Benz W196. And I am blind in one eye, and can't see out the other.
Beautiful vehicle. This should be in Smithfield, North Carolina...at Ava's museum. 💕

Beautiful car except the rear end looks like it was designed by a Russian trying to copy American fin era design
Lovely car, unfortunately your camera is out of focus .
fastnbulbouss Thank you.
