There's probably more than what I've listed here for the Mage and Sorcerer vocation, but I made sure to include everything from my previous video on the subject and everything new we have had since. You can find that old video here: th-cam.com/video/KCiCWupehdw/w-d-xo.html Also, the rule I followed is "Include it if there's footage." Many of you will notice I left out some skills from Dragon's Dogma 1 and that is because there's no DD2 footage of those skills. Thanks for understanding 😘
Yeah a new godzilla movie this awesome game and I have my best friends birth day and my brother's birthday that month so yeah all things are looking up
So many QOL changes I am noticing and that you are gathering from difference sources, verily appreciated :> I especially like how Anodyne is simply HA for Mage, effectively 5 spells rather than the 4 I was worried about, and the R1 space being dedicated to Vocation specific abilities makes good use imho. Magic in DD reminds of me FFXIV BlackMage, which aside its rotation/resource loop is much of why I enjoy it so much ^^
Warfarer with trickster, mage and sorcerer with a sorcerer pawn will be a blast to play. Speed mage spells and regain stamina with sorcerer, speed fire spells as a mage while the pawn charges a long spell and link up to them when its about to come up. Tons of buffs between mage and the trickster + tons of cc and things to keep you and the party safe. It seems so fun
You're like the only content creator I've seen actually cover the viability of having more than one sorcerer/mage in a party together because of spell synching. Idk why others don't mention it. I thought it was a well known staple of the DD series.
if that says "augments your magick defense" as in the same as clout as example...that is WAY DIFFERENT than before. Apotropaism blocked a flat amout of magic damage, it is not a percentage increase of your magic defense...well yeah Same with Intervention which use to literally just straight up make you immune to certain effects from certain attacks from certain monsters....yes it IS that specific. now it's more like how it was written in the old game but actually didn't function like that at all

What kind of pawn would you guys recommend for a tank/melee pawn? As I am planing going Mage/Sorc but I might go for the new Vocation whatever it was called. Should I go for a fight/warrior? or maby a Theif pawn? :D PS: I dont plan on using any other pawns at all! Only me and my main pawn, I want a small party as possible.
I'm running Sorc with my beastmen fighter. Definitely picking up a other Sorc. What would be best as my 4 pawn? Was thinking another melee to help out my Frontline
Noob question: If i want to end up having a Sorcerer as my main pawn, is it better if I start with a Mage ? Or I can start with anything as there are no stats/skill points carryover ? Basically, I just want to know if I would be handicapping/setting back my main pawn if I start with a thief, then change to a sorcerer later.
Excuse my ignornane as im new to the series, but I thought pawns could be mages but not sorcerors because its the advanced version. So it's possible to have a party of sorcerors?
@@OSKGaming123 Ok. Thank you for clearing that up for me. Again, excuse my ignorance. I wounder how effective it would be to have 4 sorcerors in a party? I was thinking of playing mage/sorceror myself and then having another to help with support and archer and fighter. But 4 sorcerors seems fun and possibly broken. Lmao
I will definitely play as a sorcerer, but since it is not playable from the beginning, I don't know if I should play a mage or a thief. I would prefer to play thief but playing mage might increase my magic stats from the beginning ? Does anyone know how the stats will work?
@@anthonygougeon694 They are passive abilities that are unlocked through class mastery, but you can be equipt in any other class after unlocking them. For example, in the video a mage can unlock the augment Exaltation which seems like a good all round ability. After you unlock it you can use it on a theif, warrior, mystic spearhand etc. It is to incentivize you to play all the classes.
@@d2solo i think the combat is gonna surpass it as well. Plus its more interactive...possibly a bigger map to. I think DD2 is why elden ring erdtree is gonna drop this summer.
According to the official side, the sorcerer is an arison-only-class. So, it seems, spell-synching, if that is still in the game, won't need the same spell anymore. But with quick-spell, I think, that spell-synching is somewhat obsolete, now. Additional: according to the official side, only the Warrior is an advanced vocation, which is available to pawns. (all others have "for arisen only" on the description.)

This seems so much more versatile than the mage in DD1, I might actually start as it

I really hope they have accessories, weapons and gear that enhance abilities, like first one, that was so damn awesome.
I'm Doing a Mithrandir pc, with a Radagast the Brown main pawn.
Wish they would do a demo
Yeah, capcom announced a demo event at a store in Japan this Saturday so maybe we’ll get a demo next week or the week after that
Gosh, I cannot wait to start playing this game.
i swear to God that the devs are still hiding other Vocations

I'm going Mage into sorc with my main pawn a Beastmen Straightforward Fighter to tank and be the Frontline 💪
Think the mage is going to be a must as a pawn for the heals
so 2 less available spells compared to dd1, but quickcast. Pretty good trade off.
Wonder if the tornado can pick up smaller enemies and just have them spinning around 😂 hope it would
It could in the first game
Remember; Bolide only attack twice a creature , overcasting for just 1 is useless .
Kinda bummed out on the fact that I can only carry 4 different spells on sorcerer now 😢

Why not a Thief for rapid damage while your warrior/fighter tanks?

I legitimately thought this game was coming out on March first a few data ago
It is coming out on march 22nd
@@Tarmax94 I know that already what I'd like to know however is how early can I play it if I pre order it. Depending on the answer I may pre order it.
Do you think ps5 will have better performance than the series x? I have both and not sure which one to get
Hopefully the story is better, I've been playing through the first and I just end up skipping through the dialog to get to the combat.
Im wondering where the dark elements are. I have not seen the mage or sorcerer use any of these. I hope they are still in the game.

If you account for spell synching and give them the right spells, that's a really strong combo

Mage can sync sorcerer or just mage + mage or sorcerer + sorcerer?

There's evidence that stat growth might not matter anymore, and Mage is like a Sorcerer in the early levels anyway, so why not
Don't worry about stats, but the augments

This is false. Sorcerer is for pawns too. Always has been.
So mages are trash class to main, good to know
Im wandering the same ?
