The video presenter forgot to tell you this Gen 9 AMD version has a second SSD slot on the left hand side located near the "cmos" battery position... this means not only storage expandability but also can connect eGPU via NVME protocol!

Hey, just noticed i had it while upgrading the ram on the same machine! Hadn't anything on hand to test if it was active. Didn't look to me like a full size nvme would fit also, maybe a 2242 or a 2260. Did you try it?

​@@vaccaboia111 I bought a OM3PDP3256B-AD PciEx NVME but doesn't fit in terms of microns and also the pinouts seem displaced. So idk right now whether an M.2 SATA is needed instead of M.@. There is nowhere written

new ones have a second slot, also you can upgrade memory to 64 gb even though it says max is 32 gb. I know because i did it.

Thanks for this video! Question... I spoke with an HP sales rep who said that this model has room to put a 2.5in M2 SSD, however I do not see where it could go. Can it fit anywhere?

See the battery how it looks like it has a section added on. There is a smaller battery that takes up the two right most spots or cells of the battery leaving that section on the left open. Then you can find a drive tray and cable to attach the 2.5 where the battery currently is. That cuts the battery life down by about 30%. At least this is the assumption as it is how this layout has done in it years past. Hope that helps. 4 cell battery vs 6 cell.
