    H stands for high performance
    U for ultra low power
    HS for high performance Slim
HX for high performance Overclockable (find X in Overclockable 💀)
And the huge power brick is so that the GPU which depending on the model can consume anywhere from 45 - 95 watt combined with the CPU which consumes 35 watt. Total power draw while plugged in can go upto 130 watts. The battery simply can't give you all the performance so you need a huge power brick.

It feels very good to see that it is a relevant buy even after one year. Also, for those worrying about the display wobble issue, it won't really bother you as you will get used to it within a couple of days (telling from my own experience)

I have recently got onto the tech wiser gang. Really like the videos and info you guys share. I had just 1 suggestion / question , when it comes to laptop don’t you think you should also cover something like the after sale service and repairability. In today’s time almost all brands provide best of specs on paper but after real world usage when it comes to repairability and availability of parts then the user might realises what he has signed up for. I.e recent MacBooks have the worst repairability score so likewise other brands are trying to make the repair of the laptop more difficult.

I have been using the laptop for around four months now, and there aren't any complaints from my side except about the screen wobbling. The problem is with the build quality of the lid, not of the hinge. Build quality of the hinge is good, pretty smooth. And of course, it's heavy. Great battery backup considering it being a gaming laptop, and I think that's really a good point to note down if you're thinking to carry your laptop around. Also, speakers are bottom firing, not front facing. That's an air went. Screen wobbling might bother you in the beginning, but later, you'll get used to it. There's not too much wobbling with mine. The performance is top notch at this price, best value for money machine. Just go for it!

The MSI Bravo 15 is an excellent budget gaming laptop currently available on Flipkart for around 50,000 rupees. It boasts similar specs to the HP Victus, including a Ryzen 5 5600H processor, RX 5500M graphics card, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. Additionally, it features a 15.6-inch full HD IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it an exceptional value for the price. Despite its impressive specs, the Bravo 15 is not receiving as much attention as it deserves. I would recommend that TechWiser reviews this laptop, as it appears to be the only one in its price range with such specifications. Furthermore, it is often available for an even lower price, sometimes as low as 48,000 rupees.

At 9:12 you mentioned about the placement of speakers, but at the top it's just the design and the holes are blocked and the speakers are down firing. Now I am using Asus TUF A17 and it performs much better with better battery backup, and the wobble is really irritating some times in victus but TUF has a good build too and temperatures doesn't go high as mentioned in many videos on youtube so I recommend to go with any other laptop than victus, I noticed same problem in every hp gaming laptop but in victus it is much more compared to them. so please don't go with victus at all in my opinion.

An important thing to consider while buying laptop is that, whether it has battery bypass feature. Which means you can directly use power from wall socket, without charging the battery. The battery can be kept 60% or 80% level (depends on the brand). This feature will prevent the battery to charge to 100%, and we all know Lithium batteries are very unstable at 100%.
I have seen many people using laptop like a mobile phone. Charging to full --- then unplugging --- then charging again when battery gets low. (Same as you use a smartphone, which means unnecessarily killing your battery health even when power is readily available on the wall socket every time. )
I have seen all other brands except HP having this feature. For gaming laptops, the option to enable or disable this will be available in the app which is used to tweak the gaming settings. For non gaming laptops, it's available on the BIOS settings.
every HP laptop I checked don't have this feature either inside the windows or in BIOS.
By the way, 4 finger and 3 finger gestures came years ago. You saw it now only Prateek 😁😁

    • @Kavyatej

Yea, HP's business lineup has that feature, hope they bring it to their Victus and Pavillion gaming laptop series as well through a future BIOS update. (they have in OMEN, but not in Victus)

Watching this video on a higher spec HP Victus (Ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3050ti 16/512). 60Hz is unacceptable.
And my hinge has issues on the left side, cracking the frame on the extreme left (using for over 17 months). The thermals are not good. In summers, the cpu reaches 97-102C in cpu heavy games like COD warzone, and about 88-90 in forza horizon. The 3060 is just a better graphics card if the budget is there.
    The pros-
Good screen (100% sRGB 300nits and 144hz) not significant blurring/ smudging of frames was noticable, okay for FPS games.
Good battery life with appropriate settings and mods
Good keyboard, decent mic (although i mostly use an external one)
Expandable storage (2 slots of m.2 ssd) and RAM
    Good storage speeds
X8 density ram (about 20% faster than cheaper X16 RAM, which most laptops have) Jarrods tech has a good video on it.
10, 15W charging support on the left type A and C ports.
    The cons-
Below average thermals (had to replace thermal paste 5 times, have tried mastergel maker, mastergel pro, noctua nh-h1, and thermal grizzly kryonaut. The best temperatures were with the mastergel maker, but they got worse quickly and the laptop started throttling in heavy workloads like handbrake, kryonaut worked the best.
No tunable fan curve, the default has a lot of delay in speeding fans up, and delay in slowing them down as well.
Below average WIFI card, will give issues of high ping periodically. Recommend replacing it with an intel one.
    No type c charging support
Awkward logo at the back, it doesn't look great after smudges.
Loud, but unstable speakers, they seem to oscillate the frame at certain frequencies in the lower mids range, average.
Average trackpad, clicks feel weird and the coating on my trackpad has come off in a few parts with only slight usage, the tracking is good.
    Basic BIOS
I had to visit the service center twice, once for a bricked bios, the other time for a non- functioning speaker, and in the first time, my motherboard got replaced, and in the second, the speaker got replaced, still didn't function, and subsequently the motherboard got replaced. Either time i had to reinstall windows for instability issues (dual boot with linux)
After usage of other laptops as well, i would recommend lenovo's lineup of legion gaming laptops if present in budget, otherwise, if the compromise of battery life is fine for you, the ideapad series will be okay. Acer nitro has a below average material for it's build, and it looks very gamery, which many people may want to avoid, along with that, opening the laptop voids the warranty, and service of acer isn't great as well. Dell's G15 is also a good option, and asus strix is worth considering, but generally on the costly side.

Idk why nobody talks about the wifi card issue ...
It's the main issue in this laptop .
Like you will be doing anything and wifi will suddenly disconnect and won't connect till you restart the laptop . It was a big problem
I searched on reddit found a solution tried it and then after that it happened only twice in a month
It had something to do with the battery saver settings which was enabled by default .
Bruh screen wobble isn't even noticable on table (I use it for typing and playing games ) I use it for content watching and playing tekken tag tournament on my lap and it doesn't wobble (haven't tried proper typing while keeping on lap )
Yes it wobbles if kept under fan
And wobbles hard if the fan is a stand or table fan
2nd it is heavy like really really heavy
If it's in bag u won't feel it
But once you keep it in lap or you pick it up
You feel the weight and it's too heavy
I got it for 47,250 in BBD sale so won't complain too much
Yes 1 more thing the charger heats too much while gaming
Idk if it normal or not
And by hot I mean if it's 30°C in your room it will heat up so much that you won't be able to touch it for 2-3 seconds or longer
Me and my friends used to do stupid challenges during November so we tried "who can hold the charger for most amount of time 😂" while I was playing shadow of tomb raider

@@manojra5231 yes radeon's graphic card is good
I can say cause I have used both cards and it performs slightly better than the normal 1650
      Idk about 1650 ti
Another thing is the graphic settings are a Lil bit different for few games and you have to enable it so that it uses the main GPU instead of dedicated one
Idk about 1650 cuz my friend had that laptop and I just used it for testing it games
      Now
Coming to the point that what should you buy
Depends on what are your preferences
As victus comes with ms pre-installed but has a 60hz screen
Now 144hz is definitely a lot better than 60hz
But if you want to play heavy games which the GPU will run at 50-60 fps
There isn't a point buying 144 hz if the cpu is a downgrade
      I would anyday prefer a r5 5600h
      Over 4600
But there are problems with victus which I mentioned in above comment. If you wanna do basic stuff like browse web, watch videos, game like 2-3 hrs
      Victus is a better buy
And yes don't get fooled by bigger battery in victus
Yes it gives better backup then other laptops but still it is less
If you want one line answer :-
Go with victus if you want a good performance laptop with non-gamer look and you are ready to manage the "dhai kilo" ka weight 😂
For me it's not a problem

the speaker is below the laptop and ofcourse i bought the same laptop that you have reviewed
i've been using this for 1 and half months AND this is my personal review
    PROS:-
it's obviously good enough for Gaming and daily use to me
it supports most new games too
    convenient keyboard and track pad
    CONS:-
just like he said screen vobble , weight...but speakers are'nt that bad for me ,it's good enough for me
and while gaming i can clearly feel the heat on keyboard as well
other than this , i'm fully satisfied with this laptop and those little problems didn't bothered me at all.
if you asked me i would strongly recommend it to buy under 55,000

What is the position of speaker? Some youtuber are saying it's above the keyboard and some are saying it's at below. I bought it today and got the speaker at the bottom part. What's the actual position ?
