I know this would be the most broken thing ever, but imagine if slow start, instead of lowering Regigigas' stats, worked as an attack stat version of Speed Boost, boosting its attack at the end of every turn. It works with its lore
I have thought about this before Imagine regigigas starts the battle with -3 in attack and speed, and every turn gains +1 in both It would still have to wait 3 turns to get to base power, then more to power up, but its infinitely better than current slow start and could make it devastating in a few turns
@@Nethaura That would actually be a super interesting way to handle it. Pretty sure it'd start out more nerfed than it currently is, but I'm also pretty sure it currently needs to wait 5 turns, and with it getting the option to run Protect nowadays, it being nerfed more at first isn't really a big deal, or rather, it might even be necessary.
@@Nethaura I actually really like that idea. I can imagine a metagame where there's a really strong setup sweeper but also a really good defensive mon that runs Haze to remove the sweeper's stat boosts. The player with the boosted setup sweeper could have Regigigas in the back, which could then switch into an oncoming Haze to immediately remove it's stat reductions
@Justic_ yep currently it starts with halved attack and speed, equivalent to -2 instead of -3. But having it start at -2 in this rework might be too broken, considering it can use protect
Critical hit seems more like a virizion effect. Critical hits are, at base, meant to represent the attacker hitting on an enemy’s weak spot accidentally. Virizion, being the most graceful, would be a shoe in for hitting those weak spots more often than others thanks to its skill. Terakion is more about brute force. I think giving his attacks a defence dropping property would have made more sense. Harkens back to the idea of breaking through castle walls a bit more. Could throw in a barrier break effect like brick break if we want too.

This would keep Entei's full benefits from Inner Focus in VGC, while not making them entirely reliant on being hit by a specific resisted type since that would be a very rare scenario in Singles. In Doubles, they could be used with a Discharge/Surf/Lava Plume partner, but then imo it feels like they would be forced into _only_ being run on those teams to make use of their Abilities at all. Regirock doesn't really scream out as a sandstorm setter to me. Then again, neither does Gigalith, so idk. But another way the Ability could work is instead of setting up sand, it could also heal when it uses Rock-type moves itself and also additionally absorb Stealth Rocks on its side of the field. So you switch out from a Moltres into Regirock, absorb the Stealth Rocks that the opponent set up for a 25% heal, eat the opponent's incoming Stone Edge for another 25% heal, and on the next turn launch out your own Stone Edge for an additional 25% heal. That's a 75% heal within two turns while also applying offensive pressure. The idea comes from Regirock using _any_ rock to repair itself. Its opponent launches rocks at it? Grab them to repair itself. Rocks are floating in the area around it? Grab them to repair itself. Its own rocks were launched at the enemy and are now lying on the field? Grab them to repair itself. The other Regi's Abilities are fully in line with their capabilities, and are pretty much exactly as I'd imagine, if not even better competitive-wise than what I'd propose, so... no extra comment there. Heatran's Ability could also be two Abilities smashed into one. If Flash Fire is being booted, then Molten Splash could also grant it an immunity to Fire-type attacks. If Flame Body is being booted, then Molten Splash's effect could also carry a 30% burn chance if it successfully decreases the opponent's HP. For pairs that have mismatched Abilities, such as Regieleki and Regidraco, I actually do like when they take into consideration the rest of the mon's kit and make changes accordingly. Regieleki having a weaker boost fits into how it both zips around and sends out weaker, but more numerous attacks lore-wise and how it has a much more overbearing 200 base stat in Speed and thus can easily snowball out of hand gameplay-wise. Not only would I keep Regieleki's weaker 30% boost, but I'd also even add to Regidraco's Ability and make it neutral to other Dragon-type attacks - showing complete mastery over pure draconic energy and eliminating its weakness to it. Same goes for Spectrier, who has a much stronger mono-type and better stat distribution than Glastrier. Spectrier would keep the +1 boost on account of there being no Sp. Atk Moxie, while Glastrier would gain the better Moxie due to Moxie already existing + the prevalance of Intimidate in VGC formats. This would make Trick Room Ice Rider even stronger, but Shadow Rider has always been better overall so it would be a good levelling field for both Glastrier and Ice Rider.
Articuno could have something like Northen Lights, in which he summons Snow AND Aurora Veil upon entry the field. You could run Assautl Vest and now you have a pretty tanky pokemon; or you can use Choice Specs and you have a nuke Blizzard while being really tough to go down
Landorus with sheer force is definitely better than what is essentially a 1.5x boost to only ground moves. Makes it stronger than sheer force and more versatile but balances by relying on sandstorm. Technically life orb+Sheer force is stronger but you’re free to use any items with the upgraded sand force.
I would give raiku the levitate ability because it’s regularly described descending with lightning implying some ability to fly. I’d give suicune natural cure for obvious reasons. I would also give entei the serene grace ability because it gives it the ability to burn 100% of the time with sacred fire.
Regigigas getting a FIFTY PERCENT BOOST to it's STAB MOVES whilst also going full power from the start, meaning it can actually outspeed and kill things, all that combined with his great natural bulk, makes him a ONE HIT *MACHINE*. Or in other words, a natural one mon SUPERBOSS
Do a video on mythicals . Amazing video btw . A small channel with a really made video . Just one nitpick you could have separated the segments about each trio slightly more with something like a title card .
That articuno ability would be crazy in vgc articuno already had a resurgence for the first time it might actually be a good staple with that ability although snow cloak might actually still be better
Virizions ability is the weakest of the trio. Only a 30 percent chance of confusing, and then only a 33 percent chance of the confusion doing anything is way worse than a 50 percent chance to flinch (with iron head) or a 50 percent chance to crit.
For the OG golems i have this idea: (no ability names associated so cool names welcomed) Regirock: sandtorm setting + stamina Regice: snow + ice body Registeel: magnet pull + download
We should just make Frostbite the main Ice status infliction. It's wsy more interesting and fair than Freeze. Arceus knows we could use more ways to impact special stats
@Justic_ no other than super extreme scenarios pressure is so terrible on such good pokemon. It also sounds cool like intimidate or moxie. And with powercreep being very noticeable in gen 9 it helps old legendaries

agree with everything apart from the horse changes. they’re abilities are already way better than being just a ‘moxie’ because they are 680 stat pkm with a 120 BP double attack move
I'm not sure if giving Articuno an ability with a 30% chance to freeze is really a good idea. I mean there's a reason there's no move with a chance higher than 10% even until today for a reason, freeze is the most bs status we have, so I feel it deserves to be at least a bit nerfed compared to the others, if not down to 10% at least to 20. Although these abilities run into one major problem on all of these birds: a lack of viable flying-type moves. They all only learn Hurricane and Air Cutter on the special side, the best user of the 3 who can use Hurricane is Zapdos for obvious reasons, the other 2 are better off runnng an Air Cutter gimmick-set in doubles to fish for statuses, otherwise they won't really make use of these abilities at all. I don't really see how Regirock and Regice setting up weather makes sense lorewise? At best I could see a Sandspit like effect for Regirock, but in general I feel the recovery from rock-type, we could expand that to absorbing Stealth Rock on switch in and healing in sandstorm as well. For Regice full immunty to fire also feels a step too far, Heatproof plus getting healed from ice-type moves makes more sense. And Registeel just turning all its weaknesses into immunities goes WAY too far. If we were to go with the weather, just let it clear weather on switch-in, in general though I feel it'd make more sense to let it keep Clear Body and add something like Shield Dust where it can't be easily statused or Magic Guard that makes it immune to passive damage. As Latios is the more offensive sibling, I'd perhaps turn it around as to where it gets a boost when it HAS a super-effective move, and instead of its attack-stats it raises its speed, to help it keep pace with the faster meta nowadays. Edit: since I had to pause for a while, I'm gonna continue here. I feel like Heatrans ability should only work with contact-moves, since it wouldn't really make sense if Heatran got blasted with an Ice Beam from across the battlefield for its magma to splash all that way. With a change like that, maybe you could justify it also having a chance to burn. For Cresselia, it already has enough healing through its signature moves so an ability that heals would've probably been redundant, however considering Cresselia is still technically Darkrais worst enemy, I'd say it should have an ability that either makes it easier for it to hit Darkrai, like making its psychic-type moves able to hit dark-types, or making it resistant to dark-type moves... and also either immune to sleep or give it Early Bird. For the Swords of Justice, I feel they all deserve Sharpness as at least part of their ability. As for the additive... I feel they should have abilities that have an effect in double battles, referencing both them protecting Pokemon, but also generally acting as a group. For Cobalion, I could see it increasing accuracy on its side of the field, ironically helping Terrakion the most, but also Keldeos Hydro Pump. Terrakion could keep raising crit-chance, although only by 1 stage, with its "heroic" charges increasing both its and its allies morale. Meanwhile Virizion would give its team evasion, its nimble movements and confusing attacks throwing the opponents aim off, or to not play with evasion, have it increase your sides speed, maybe not an entire stage, but slightly. For the forces of nature, I feel it'd make more sense for Tornadus and Thundurus to set up the weather, either both rain or Tornadus sets up Hail instead, since it was in the snow-area in Legends Arceus, while Landorus should take down weather to power up its move (or at least the stormy ones, Sunny Day could stay up for example), since in lore that's how it makes the soil fertile, by using the other two forces, although I do think the chip-damage they deal after attacking could also stay, although perhaps a bit weaker? For Type:Null, since it evolves into Sylvally which does have a signature ability, I don't think it needs a unique ability. The Tapus are... a bit boring? Like, they're just the effects of their types strongest common special moves, when they could instead do something like play around with Natures Madness, their signature move, or an ability that references them receiving power from Solgaleo and Lunala, in other words from Ultra Space, you could combine those two aspects to have them gain stats after using Natures Madness, have Tapu-Koko receive increased Atk, Lele increased Sp.Atk, Bulu Def and Fini Sp.Def. Regielekis ability was nerfed for a reason, un-nerfing it makes NO sense at all. A reminder also that any change to the Neighs REFLECTS ONTO CALYREX ICE RIDER AND SHADOW RIDER. They're already very overpowered as they are, they don't need 2 STAGES of buffs to their main offensive stat. If Chilling Neigh being too close to Moxie is a problem, just give it something else, like healing a bit of HP, something the more bulky Glastrier would benefit from, but not the frailer Spectrier.
Both moltres and articuno can learn air slash buddy, also i don't agree articuno ability should've change meanwhile other aren't, i can explain it.first, ice is a bad defensive typing which is articuno roll (even when he had the bulk he probably isn't gonna survive), second, knock off and stealth rock are everywhere even when he running bots it's probably gonna get knocked off. Also, let's be honest there's only some people who had God tier luck (definitely not us)
@@QR14_Masahiya You're right they can learn Air Slash, didn't see it when looking over their movepool, however Air Slash is a 75 base power move, it's not really much better than Air Cutter with its 60bp and as I mentioned the doubles-gimmick. As for Articunos ability having slightly different percentages than the others, it wouldn't even be unheard of since Regielekis Transistor was also nerfed going into Gen 9 while Dragons Maw remained untouched. And Articuno can be run both defensively and offensively, it has historically been run both ways, there not being an offensive set listed for SV on smogon yet doesn't change that. Anyways, its typing holding it back doesn't justify at all giving it the capability to freeze up to 2 of your opponents Pokemon, the most bs status condition btw again, with a 1/3 chance, with that kind of justification ALL ice-types should have their chance to freeze raised to 30%. Think about Scald-burns and how often it made people rage? Now think about how often this will trigger, but against both opponents in VGC, it being defensive just means chances are higher it'd survive long enough for its shenanigans (not to mention hazards aren't really common in doubles so it can just run a scarf, in addition to any potential Tailwind that may be up). Comparatively, 20% would lower it down to 1/5 at least, which is just reliable enough to be a gimmick-set, but not enough to be viable much beyond that.
It's really hard to keep watching when the first take is already preposterous bad. Articuno doesn't run flying type moves, because hurricane is unreliable. Adding even more RNG to the move would still make him as bad, but now he is a annoying roulette game. Now he sucks AND has bad design.
I don't think you get just how insane 30% extra freeze or flinch chance is on ANYTHING lol

I would give raiku the levitate ability because it’s regularly described descending with lightning implying some ability to fly. I’d give suicune natural cure for obvious reasons. I would also give entei the serene grace ability because it gives it the ability to burn 100% of the time with sacred fire.
The ability you gave regigigas would send it to Ubers
The golems are now OU, maybe except Regice
You should have made Regigigas's Titanic Grip prevent any foe or ally hit by a contact move from switching out as well.
Yeah you should do mythical pokémon next
For Zapdos’ ability, I would call it Shocking wing, to fit better with blazing and chilling wing, great video tho
Why are you using the beta design for Tapu-Rilla? Is it just some bizarre inside joke?
Do a video on mythicals . Amazing video btw . A small channel with a really made video . Just one nitpick you could have separated the segments about each trio slightly more with something like a title card .
PLEASE DO MYTHCALS! And id love if you covered Marshadow, its my favorite Mythical
Would love to see you make a mythical video
That articuno ability would be crazy in vgc articuno already had a resurgence for the first time it might actually be a good staple with that ability although snow cloak might actually still be better
Virizions ability is the weakest of the trio. Only a 30 percent chance of confusing, and then only a 33 percent chance of the confusion doing anything is way worse than a 50 percent chance to flinch (with iron head) or a 50 percent chance to crit.
Put suicune out in doubles with a partner that knows surf and pofit
For the OG golems i have this idea: (no ability names associated so cool names welcomed)
Regirock: sandtorm setting + stamina
Regice: snow + ice body
Registeel: magnet pull + download
Your kitchen privileges are REVOKED
Regirock-Sandstream
Regice-Snow Warning
Registeel-Mirror Armor
-
Uxie-Unburden
Azelf-Sheer Force
Mesprit-Sp.Atk version of Intimidate
Heatran-Drought
Regigigas-Hustle
Cresselia-Magic Guard
ALMOST...
ANY ABILITY 💥💥💥💥
So EliteZee...
What happens to Arceus if he equips Terrashift?
What ability does Terastal form Arceus have?
So regigigas gets a _slightly_ better adaptability. It should also get something defensive to match the original regis
Mythicals are legendaries already, like how thumbs are fingers.
the thumb is technically not a finger
Azelf’s ability should also bypass magic bounce!
We should just make Frostbite the main Ice status infliction. It's wsy more interesting and fair than Freeze. Arceus knows we could use more ways to impact special stats
Reshiram: Hyper Blaze
Sun and boost special attack by 30%
Mold breaker
When fire types hit successfully, boost speed by 1 stage
12:08 you missd out the word "Willpower" on thr description
Presure is so useless 💀
"It's better than klutz." And using that as the benchmark, you're so right lol.
I wouldn't necessarily say "useless", they mainly make stalling harder for the opponent, which kinda makes sense for most legendary Pokemon.
@Justic_ no other than super extreme scenarios pressure is so terrible on such good pokemon. It also sounds cool like intimidate or moxie. And with powercreep being very noticeable in gen 9 it helps old legendaries
@@MrPaki206 I'm not saying that Pressure is good either, I'm just saying it has its uses and kinda makes sense on many legendaries. Obviously there are many better abilities out there though.
im so glad pokemon fans dont create pokemon games, abilities, moves, etc. 🙏
29:26
What about a truant-slow start combo?
I am going to run articuno with fire and water pledge on the team he cant learn it himself
1:16 something feels off here like two names were switched
You forgot Keldeo!
Its a mythical iirc
But he's part of the Swords of Justice. He should have a themed ability too.
@@rRecoveryProd yup so that will be covered in the next video about mythical pokemon
@@luukthegamer You sure that's next?
Registeels ability isn't fair, it would be by far the best ability in the game.
Its also just registeel, seeing how the other regis basically are registeel stats but better in the weather they set registeel is just something that can sit in front of some mons but its also not doing anything.
@@Aegisdex Registeel can do enough, it has a more than decent STAB-move in Heavy Slam, and while its defens isn't as high as Regirocks, it can still easily set up Iron Defenses to Body Press for INSANE damage.
@@Aegisdex yeah ignore it while it sets up free iron defense
@ its not like you can actually deal with a iron def body press, oh wait, there is. Ghost types never really left.
@@Aegisdex are you stupid why would i set up iron defense against a ghost type mon
and even if you switch to a ghost type then it can do something
it means you're threaten by it
Why would you nerf entei so hard, taking away a good ability and grant.. well a shitty ability tbh since entei resists fire anyway
Articuno is better than moltres in VGC
Give Rayquaza speed boost + delta stream and call it Lord of the Skies. I promise I'm not a gen 3 fanboy. Rayquaza isn't my favourite dragon type, honest 😅
Dude these are all way too broken and luck-based
agree with everything apart from the horse changes. they’re abilities are already way better than being just a ‘moxie’ because they are 680 stat pkm with a 120 BP double attack move
Bro does not understand pokemon balance im sorry
its not supposed to be balanced
This is hot garbage lol
It's really hard to keep watching when the first take is already preposterous bad. Articuno doesn't run flying type moves, because hurricane is unreliable. Adding even more RNG to the move would still make him as bad, but now he is a annoying roulette game. Now he sucks AND has bad design.
Most of these were just "restore hp" so boring. *do not recommend channel*
