I'd say make it so Giratina reverses the type match up for everyone, *but* himself. After all, he's supposed to be in the distortion world, he's used to this.
i feel every pre-Gen 5 legendary needs an ability overhaul anyways, given they all just got 'Pressure' slapped onto them. the ONLY one that i feel ACTUALLY makes 'sense' with pressure pre gen 5 is mewtwo, even though the ability doesn't really help it at all
Dialga, the god of time, should set up Trick Room when switching in (similar to drought for Groudon) Palkia, the god of space, should set up Gravity, as Gravity is just distortions in space time according to Einstein (would be mechanically interesting, because it would give you 100% accurate hydro pumps) Giratina, the god of the distortion world, should set up Wonder Room when switching in. This is fitting, because the distortion world is primarily defined by being strange/ weird and alien, and mechanically, it would mean that you have to play completely different against opponents with a Giratina on their team. Alternatively, Girantina could also set up a field effect that makes the battle an inverse battle for 5 turns. So fire is super effective against water etc
@@derpidius6306 Mewtu should get Neuroforce like Ultra Necrozma (additional damage on super effective moves) to reflect its intelligence. I think it would even be cool to guarantee crits if you hit super effectively. That way, you could drop psychic moves completely and use a much higher diversity of moves. As long as a move is super effective, because of the 50% boost from crit, you basically have pseuro-STAB
I'd just give it to the origin form. Levitate's nice, but this would singlehandedly kill Giratina's altered form by turning five weaknesses, six resistances, and two immunities into five resistances and EIGHT WEAKNESSES on a DEFENSIVE 'mon.
I think this should be relegated to a signature move in order to have more control. Support your allies by making the fairy-steel tank become instantly frail
I think slow reaction should make it so the mon can only faint at the end of the turn. Incineroar hits slowbro with a fake out taking it down to 0 hp, then slowbro hits incin with a scald, incin faints and then slowbro faints
This would be. Extremely toxic. Slack off would mean that you would just have 8 free turns of sitting there at half health unless you had a pokemon that was slower than slowbro because you can't go lower than 0 health
@@adampozzobon5193 Who said you could heal after hitting 0 health? Reaching 0 would activate a flag in the code that would functionally make it so you are on the last turn of parish song. No matter what happens you WILL faint at the end of the turn.
10:56 I love how gothitelle just awkwardly stares at giratina, realizing she's literally facing Satan, and her immediate reaction is to flatter it to save her life, but it has already warped to another dimension and then giratina just takes her down in one anticlimactic hit like it's nothing.
Time Skip: After each turn, it will skip the next turn. So moves like Hyper Beam will skip the recharge turn, and moves that take a turn to charge will not attack since it’s skipped. Dialga fits thematically with this ability and the thought of spamming Roar of Time is funny to me. Wyrmhole: Palkias Water- and Dragon-type attacks are all priority. I remember watching a clip of the anime and Palkia’s attack sfx sounded exactly like The Hand in JoJo’s. So the idea is that Palkia erases the space between the opponent to close in and attack. Also I think the name is pretty cool.
Some that I think would really flavorblast mons and inspire entire teams *Eevee, Evoboost -* "When an ally pokemon that evolves from eevee is sent out, boosts that pokemon's highest stat by a stage, and boosts the user the same stat by a stage". I think many dream of evolutions in a squad and there is a lot of versatility and choice here. *Pidgeot, Birds of a Feather -* "When ally pokemon shares a type with the user, they both pokemon have enhanced rolls for accuracy and critical hits". This substitutes its lost No Guard, and can inspire normal and flying teams. Feels like a funny space. I imagine rolling twice and taking the more favorable for both accuracy and critical checks. *Fearow, Menace -* "When this pokemon switches in, opposing pokemon lose PP". This adds an aspect like an auto-Spite in place in intimidate. This may trigger the adrenaline orb, but can shut down those really strong low PP moves. Feels like a new design space to play with.
Slow Start for Regigigas should be reworked, so that it starts at -3 attack and -3 speed, but every turn, you gain +1 speed and +1 attack (honestly, I like it more without limit, but you could limit it to a maxumum of +3) That way, you still start out crippeled, and switching out resets your progress, but if you can stay in long enough, the ability becomes a net benefit. So instead of just removing the ability with a Weezing as your other Pokemon in double battles, which is boring, you actually would have an incentive to keep the ability and survive the turns needed Regigigas would still be increadibly weak in the beginning, and easy to KO, but it would no longer be possible to just ignore the Regigigas and set up on it. You have to respect it (especially with substitute/ protect), or it will eventually become a real threat
@@Aaa-vp6ugthere would still be ways to play around it especially in vgc (taunt, fake out, killing the roar user, encore into a different move, etc) so it's not that bad
Ever since I first saw Steelworker, I've really wanted the Flygon line to get a Bug type Steelworker ability. Flygon avoiding Ground type attacks is "fine" but definitely just one of those abilities that's just okay.
Honestly Flygon just deserves to be Bug/Ground type. It would make it a lot more unique and not just a weaker Garchomp. It could also use a Mega in Z-A
@@Damy-t4v Yeah, and it makes a lot more sense than Flygon becoming Bug/Dragon like most people say it should. Yeah, we don’t have that typing yet, but taking away Flygon’s Ground typing, which is more of its identity than the Dragon typing has ever been, is just a terrible idea in my opionion.
why do people want flygon to be a bug type so much? i never really understood it, dont get me wrong bug type is my favorite type but i just dont see what makes flygon a bug type... is it the goggles? is it the horns that kinda look like antenna? is it the weird shaped wings? none of those things really scream bug type that much to me
@@Sarah_Redfox If you must know, the flygon line is based on antlions, a species of insect that spends the majority of its lifespan burrowing to ambush other insects, vibrava and flygon are based on the adult phase of the antlion's life cycle while trapinch is based on its larval state (hence why many people find it weird that its not a bug type) (I apologize if this was sarcasm cuz it kinda sounded like it but I thought it was better to be safe than sorry)
Dodrio could have had a "parental bond" style ability where it does 50% damage but hits 3x whenever its awake. This would make it more noticeably unique, more actually usable, and would still accomplish the "keeping one head awake" representation.
I would change Garchomp’s to Arial Takedown, making contact with a flying type pokemon grounds them until they switch out. If you were crazy, you could also make it trap them
I love that New Zen Mode Mecanic with Calm mind and Inner focus, its pretty creative and Practical. I would also make him inmune to sandstorms and hail for lore.
I think Hypno should have an exclusive ability called Hypnotic Power. When Hypno is in the field, every Pokémon aside from it (ally and opponents) will have the ability Comatose. This means Hypno now has a role as a status deterrent for its partner, and can play in a unique way for a Psychic type, or really, any Pokémon, as it would be able to freely use moves like Dream Eater and Nightmare throughout the battle.
@@Cyber_Spiritjust keep the type flip thing as a move, make tanks frail, make ice type good, that kinda thing (Only defensively) (it can target anyone, single target.) Giratina also gets a variant that targets both enemies as well.
Gaining weaknesses to water and fire would be especially bad, but gaining resistances to fairy, dragon, dark, ghost, and ice would be pretty amazing in Ubers. There's also the bug, poison, electric, and grass weaknesses gained, but coverage moves of those types are uncommon, especially in ubers. Overall I think Giritina comes out on top because its 2 immunities stay intact, and it gains valuable SE stab into steel types.
I actually had the idea of Golurk being like Deoxys in that it has multiple forms that are changed outside of battle. Like a cannon form with Mega Launcher that's specially oriented and a faster flying mode that has Levitate.
I want Tropius to get a signature ability that’s related to bananas. I like the name “Potassium Power.” What it would do…idk, but I like the idea nonetheless.
@@Cyber_Spirit Ooh that sounds fun. Having Tropius be a support Mon with that ability sounds like it could be good in doubles. I honestly just want to see Tropius get any sort of buff ngl.
Make it so if the Pokemon heals they take 1/4th of the damage they would be healing as damage, because extremely high amounts of potassium can cause radiation poisoning, btw it should include everything but toxic heal
Tropius' Diamond and Pearl Dex entry reads: "Because it continually ate only its favorite fruit, the fruit started growing around its neck." Said fruit resembles bananas, which seem to have inspired Nanab Berries. As such, I would like to buff Tropius by making the Nanab Berry give unique in-battle properties when held by Tropius, but useless anywhere else. The effect can be anything from healing Tropius for 1/3 of its max HP at the end of each turn (permanent FIWAM/pinch berries), doubling its Special Attack, etc.
I had an idea for a Giratina Ability where it gets rid of all forms of immunities completely, so a Steel-type can be poisoned and hit by poison moves for instance, or a pokemon with limber being able to be paralyzed, or flying-types taking damage from spikes. There’s more to it but that’s the main effect
Dialga: Time Dialator. Causes turn count to double. Effectively, moves with cooldown lose the the cooldown, charge up moves lose charge, after turn effects tick twice, time bound effects (Slow Start, Trick Room, Weather, Terrain, Perish song et cetera) go by quicker, et cetera
7:33 ~ If your intention is to replicate the slow reaction it has in Battle Revolution, you could just have the ability to allow it to "Endure" an hit that would faint it, but, then, it is sure to "Perish" in the next turn.
Rotom: Electroplasm - User's Electric type moves have an added 15% chance to induce a secondary effect depending on Rotom's form. Fire may Burn the target, Water may add the Water type to the target, Grass may Seed the target, Flying may flinch the target, Ice may lower the target's Speed and Evasion by one stage, and Ghost has a 30% chance to inflict Curse on the target. Spiritomb: Black Hole - Draws in Dark type moves, makes user immune to the Dark type, and raises SAtk by one stage. Garchomp: First Strike - User's first move after being sent out will have +1 priority if it had none. Any move with positive or negative priority will be uneffected. Dodrio: Low Altitude - Neutralizes user's Flying type weaknesses. Darmanitan-U: Aped Up - Raises users Speed by 1.5× but locks user into first selected move. Addendum for Darmanitan-G: Give it Serene Grace. Darm-U gets Sheer Force, Aped Up, and (Hidden) Zen Mode. Darm-G gets Serene Grace, Gorilla Tactics, and (Hidden) Zen Mode. Zen Mode needing a rework so Zen Darm-U isn't completely useless is an entirely different issue. Slowbro: Slow Witted - User cannot flinch, and is immune to most mental effects (Taunt, Infatuation, Encore, etc...). Golurk: Mobile Artillery - User changes to Cannon Form before using noncontact attacks and Standard Form before using contact attacks. Delibird: Generosity - When user switches out it leaves a gift for the next pokemon that restores 33% max Hp and cures status conditions.
I like the idea of that garchomp ability and want them to do this because it would be so broken 😂 He is my fav pokemon so anything to make him meta again is good with me
Solid video bro, this popped up on my recommended and I love to watch smaller creators because it's always something fresh. I wish you the best in your TH-cam journey.
I want Carnivine to get a Bug-type equivalent of Sap Sipper. It would be cool to have a pokémon with an immunity to U-turn besides Shedinja, and it makes no sense for a venus flytrap to be weak to bug moves.
Hm, the Giratina ability is probably more of a nerf when it makes it weak to Bug, Electric, Fighting, Fire, Grass, Normal, Poison and Water only resisting Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost and Ice
I had an idea for a signature ability for Vespiquen. if the opposing pokemon hits vespiquen with a physical move, the Pokémon will be affected by infestation, loosing 1/8th of hp every turn and slowing the speed stat. Idk what to call it but maybe Angry Hive or something like that. Mainly since the Pokédex says that vespiquen has grubs in its hive and use them in battle.
I like this kind of content, where one makes adjustments to add on to or fix something in a game... But made in a way where you can look at it and go, "Yeah, this could actually be in the game". Even if that means hobbling it or making it "wonky" so it'll actually feel like it fits. Keeping consistent elements, themes, and styles is an important, if not exactly glamorous, part of design. Well-made video - I didn't even realize you had a sub-5k subsciber count until I actually looked at the channel proper. Have some Engagement Credits[TM].
here are some of mine: Tinkaton- Metal Scrapper (The pokemon's physical attacks are super effective against steel type pokemon). Electrode: reignition (Once per battle, the pokemon can use explosion/self destruct and be left at 1 HP, allowing it to continue battling until it takes damage or explodes again.) Turtinator: Detonate (If KOed by a contact move, the pokemon will explode, causing 1/4 of the attacker's HP's worth of damage, and leaving "fiery shrapnel" on the field. Fiery Shrapnel is an entry hazard that damages pokemon based on their type matchup against fire, similar to Stealth Rock. However, Fiery Shrapnel is grounded, so raised pokemon are immune to it. Regirock: Rocky repair (the pokemon restores 1/4 of its maximum HP when hit by a rock type move). Snorlax: Power Nap (The pokemon heals 1/16 of its health every turn while it is asleep. Mew: Ancestral Knowledge (The Pokemon gains a Stab boost from all attacking moves).
I feel like making it the opposite direction with Grounded flight. All Ground Type moves are also part flying. Where as other Pokemon make seismic or other ground events with Earth control, Garchomp is just strong and fast enough to do them with his flight. Imagine most others shown using Earthquake, they stomp the ground and it shakes. Now imagine Garchomp with the speed of a Jet flying full body into the ground to make an earthquake, the force of it hitting the ground sensing a Shockwave with it as well. Garchomp flying with the speed of a Jet to pick up dirt and vortex it around an opponent (Sand Tomb) Garchomp flying with super sonic speed to the fucking Mantle of the earth and digging back up bringing fucking magma with it! (Earth Power)
Honestly, same, because as it stands, giving up rough skin or sand veil for an ability that would only apply to a single move, as garchomp fr only has access to aerial ace...would be unwise. Whereas an inverted grounded flight would apply to like 8 or ,9 moves, making for a fair trade-off
Rotom: worse than levitate on all fronts Spiritomb: ok but where is the reliable recovery that it would benefit more from Garchomp: name 1 reason to use this over rough skin when aerial ace is the only boosted move Dodrio: all of its current abilities are dookie so this is fine i guess Darmanitan: im pretty sure armarouge is just better Slowbro: regen is better in every universe dude Golurk: idk what to say about this Delibird: it’s still terrible Giratina: wtf
Honestly I like the idea of Giratina, Palkia and Dialga having the Trickroom and Tailwind abilities But with a catch… they have to hold their respective orbs If they don’t they remain with Telepathy That way they will remain useful as pose creep keeps going
Dialga, the god of time, should set up Trick Room when switching in (similar to drought for Groudon) Palkia, the god of space, should set up Gravity, as Gravity is just distortions in space time according to Einstein (would be mechanically interesting, because it would give you 100% accurate hydro pumps) Girantina, the god of the distortion world, should set up Wonder Room when switching in. This is fitting, because the distortion world is primarily defined by being strange/ weird and alien, and mechanically, it would mean that you have to play completely different against opponents with a Girantina on their team. Alternatively, Girantina could also set up a field effect that makes the battle an inverse battle for 5 turns. So fire is super effective against water etc
The inverse battle idea for Giratina is super cool, because it would allow you to play with Pokemon, that are held back by their typings, especially in VGC. Giratina could become for Hisui Avalugg what Wheezing has been for Regigigas an Slaking ;)
I have an ability idea but don't know who to give it too. Here it is anyway: Eyes of Fortune - The user foresees it's opponent's greed, becoming immune to moves/abilities involving items. Effect: Takes no damage and immune to effects from Thief/Knock Off. Immune to Trick/Switcheroo. Unaffected by Pickpocket/Magician.
I'm almost sure then Xatu's thing is like one eye see the future and the other see the past,so I think this ability will match with him. Sorry for the bad english,i'm not very good in this😅😅😅
mechanical mischief: there exists poison puppeteer for pecharunt. This is basically the electric version of that so it’s not farfetch’d. I considered using paralysis instead of poison but that’s a bit to much IMO, so I like yours better. Spirit release: as long as it’s a terrain I wouldn’t have a problem with it, but if it’s like spikes and sticks around then I believe it’s too much. Grounded flight: love the name but it’s too niche, what about a chance a gaining a speed stage when flying type attacks are more used? Lazy lookout: this is super interesting, how would this work with uproar? The ability to wake yourself up seems very powerful on a Pokémon that knows rest. Zen mode: I love the glow up here. For meditate it could change it to a sp. attk buff. Slow reaction: it fits well with his personality. Being able to save yourself from lethal damage is extremely powerful, and playing against would add a lot of spice to even the most casual play through. Artillery switch: I was unaware he could do that so this is super cool. The ability to switch damage types is extremely powerful. Season of giving: this combined with pluck or trick or something like that is super useful depending on the item pool. Distorted field: this one is wild and could easily destroy any and all plans. If this had been on giratina when they first released it would have caused so much trauma. I’m not sure how strong it would be modern day but it would certainly add a lot of spice to things.
Really love the Giratina ability! Would do WILD meta changes! Something else you could with Rotom is: Holding a pokéball will boost his electric moves' power by the current catch rate (So a pokéball would give the equivelent to a +1, a Greatball a +2 and so on), using special balls' abilities too! (e.g. If Rotom holds a Dusk Ball at night, they'll get the boost; If they're battling through fishing then a lure ball will grant the increase). At the same time, if you use the same kind of ball that Rotom is holding to catch a Pokémon, the ability will increase your catch rate by a fixed amount! A Masterball would always give the largest boost although maybe tied to the quick ball, since it gives a 5x catch rate Also, with Spiritomb, why not just staright up cursing the one who knocks you out? It uses something people would be familiar with and the other trainer can always switch out if they see fit, making it interactive for both sides!
@@Cyber_Spirit I'd say VGC-wise the quick ball bonus would only work on 1st turn and then you trick it to your partner for a better item while they throw it at the enemy or somwthing
I feel like Rotom should get an ability similar to Tatsugiri where it can possess steel type partners in doubles. And to make it not completely broken it could only boost the highest state of the parnter. (basically a free booster energy for any steel type at the cost of turning into a 2V1)
I got one for Giratina for both forms Distorted Plains (Altered form) - When this Pokémon is on the field, all priority moves lose priority Distorted Field (Origin) - When this Pokémon is on the field, all priority moves will have their priority inverted (Example: Quick Attack is -1 Priority)
In singles yes (but you can just use the origin form), but it would have a big effect in doubles, because it also affects your partner, and your opponents. Hisui Avalugg would be great, for example The playstyle would be comparable to Weezing enableing Regigigas. And in singles, you are still forgetting the offensive benefits. Yes, it hurts Giratina too, a litle bit. But Giratina has a mid typing. It is ok, but nothing special. A lot of other Pokemon are good specifically because of the typing. You ruin all the steel types, for example
Slow Reaction sounds cool. But I think I have another way it could work: If Slowbro takes lethal damage and loses all their HP, they will not actually faint until after their turn ends. Effectively letting them set up an advantage for their teammates on the way out the door. Or alternatively, they could try and hit their opponent with one last stab from the grave in hopes of taking them down with them… Potentially stealing a win as the opponent would die first.
A sig ability I would give Dialga is…Time Warp (2 turns move become instant meaning no time is wasted and for the next 2 turns your stats can’t be lowered or raised and status move are no effect on you) (Outside effect:Time goes faster and nighttime/daytime only pokemon go in day or night respectfully)
Would be interesting, because Roar of Time, Dialgas signature attack, is such a move. In VGC, this could be very interesting together with Xerneas. Dragon/ Steel/ Fairy core, you can run Xerneas without power herb (so life orb Xerneas etc). And Roar of Time is almost twice as strong as dragon pulse :) Great suggestion, but I would like Dialga to set up Trick Room when switching in (for 5 turns, like drought or drizzle)
Hey! This is a new ability I came up with for Dialga I’m calling it Temporal Loop. Here’s how it works: When Dialga’s HP drops below 50% from an opponent’s attack, Temporal Loop activates, and it resets Dialga back to the state it was in at the start of the battle. This means: • Full HP recovery • All status conditions like burn, paralysis, or confusion are removed • Stat changes (positive or negative) are reset to neutral It’s like Dialga rewinds time to when the fight began! However, any boosts Dialga gained from moves like Agility or Bulk Up will also be erased, so players need to plan carefully when relying on setup strategies. Once Temporal Loop activates, Dialga’s Dragon- and Steel-type moves get a 20% power boost for the rest of the battle. But there’s a catch-the HP drop must come from an opponent’s attack. If Dialga’s HP drops below 50% from moves like Substitute or Belly Drum, the ability won’t trigger. Also, it only activates once per battle-so use it wisely! Finally, Temporal Loop is exclusive to Dialga. It can’t be copied by abilities like Doodle, Entrainment, Role Play, or Skill Swap. The only way for another Pokémon to gain this ability is by transforming into Dialga with Mew or Ditto.
I learned golurk could fly during my first Black playthrough. I had one on my team when I tried to teach someone Fly. I thought it was a bug until I saw it fly in a movie
These are very creative! Gamefreak should take notes! Idea: Blinding Fury (stuff such as Tauros and idk) If the Pokemon goes under 1/2 HP, its Atk stat doubles, but its accuracy goes down one stage. Is it Hustle's weird cousin? Kinda. But maybe this one is actually kinda cool?
An alternate, slightly less gimmicky way Delibirds could work is as a free trick on switch in, with delibird giving whatever they have, and getting an opponents item. Maybe with a name like Gift Exchange
Problem with Giratina’s is that an inverse battle does not benefit Giratina itself. Suddenly it’d be weak to: Grass, water, fire, and electric Fighting and normal Bug and poison It would resist ghost, dark, ice, fairy, and dragon But you probably would have something on its team that already covers those. Steel types come to mind
I like the concept of Golurk, but maybe give it something like Anti-Air Artillery, where its ground moves can hit Flying type Pokemon because it shoots them out of a cannon.
Maybe Darmanitan, instead of activating Zen Mode by using Calm Mind (which would cost it a move slot, ultimately forcing you to choose whether to have it know either 2 physical attacks but only one special attack, or vice versa!), it could instead activate if/when Darmanitan gets flinched (also allowing it to have 2 physical attacks AND 2 special attacks!)
I mean the simple way to make slow reaction work is if you switch out the other half of the damage just poof goes away. This is how you make it competitive vs regenerator. If you take 70% of your max HP and then switch out as regenerator you switch back in with 60%. The same situation with slow reaction and you get back in with 65% but you had to use a switch move to take advantage of it. This means that slow reaction potentially gives slowbro more sustain than regen at the cost of having to be played in a very specific way
One that I thought up was for Mismagius, who I'm upset hasn't gotten any proper treatment outside of Flutter Mane. Witch's Brew boosts the power of all Ghost and Psychic-type moves used by any Pokemon as long as Mismagius is on the field. It may also be able to hit Normal-types, but I sway back and forth on that one. I don't know how broken this would be, so if anyone could inform me, that'd be cool.
Hypno needs an ability called Trance or something. Which puts Pokémon of the field in a comatose state. Meaning he can use Dream Eater and/or Nightmare.
Reverse Battles as an Ability makes for sense for Zygarde than for Giratina Giratina doesn't have anything to do with reversing Type interactions, or affecting them in any way. He's the embodiment of Anti-Matter, and the Distortion world only changes how Space-time and Gravity flow. Zygarde has Aura Break, which reverses Fairy Aura and Dark Aura, and the only NPC that does Reverse Battles is right near the cave where Zygarde is.
Inverse type match ups on giratina is so bad for him it gives him weakness to: normal, fight, grass, poison, water, fire, electric, and bug, while he gets resistance to dark, ghost, ice, and fairy. Either it only affects his enemies meaning he suddenly becomes the fairy killer dragon or it needs another pass.
Delbird's new ability would be interesting, if it gave allies "good gifts" (like a berry or air balloon) while giving opponents "bad gifts" (like a lagging tail, or black sludge on non-poison types or non-Guts Pokemon). And give Delibird access to a new special type version of Knockoff, called Drop Off.
Machamp: Punch barrage The pokemon can punch at lightning fast speed. Punching moves deal 1/3 damage but hit 2-5 times. Doesn't apply to multi-hit moves. Golurk: Overload The pokemon can't contain its power. When the pokemon attacks, its damage increases but loses hp. Basically Life orb as an ability. Mawile: Deceitful The pokemon hides its true intentions to surprise its opponent. The first time the pokemon uses a Dark type move, it has increased priority and makes the target flinch. Magcargo: Magma armor The pokemon's body evaporates water on contact, causing it to cool down and solidify. When hit by a Water type move, it nullifies the damage and increases defense. Smeargle: True colors The pokemon can't help but express itself. When entering combat, the pokemon changes type based on its ivs and nature.
One of the things I'm doing in my fake region is a set of abilities called Far Flyer, Deep Digger and Distance Diver. In an attempt to make certain hm moves more viable, some pokemon will now be completely immune while using these 2 turn moves, for example hurricane and thunder can't hit this Mon while it's using fly, eq can't hit this Mon while it's using dig.
Golurk ability idea: Power unleash In game description: When injured, the pokemon loses it's seal and deals more damage and move slightly faster. Ability effect: When its hp Is at 50% or less, It's moves deals 1.2 damage and gain 1.5 speed. The pokemon can only select the first move it executes.
I think it would be cool to introduce triple-types through abilities like Iron Heart or Drake Heart. Making the Pokemon get STAB, resists, and weaknesses of another type. In this case, Steel and Dragon specifically.
Usually I don't comment but Giratina got me!! Making a fakemon region and the box art legendaries are guidance and misguidance theme based and initially for the misguidance one, I thought of have the same ability from name to the effects!!
How about "Final Strike" When a pokemon is knocked out before it uses it's move, they will still use the attack before fainting and the move cannot miss.
Goated selection of mons. I think spiritomb’s ability should interact with special moves - seems more spiritualistic in nature and physical is already punished enough through burn, intimidate, strength sap etc
Maybe an abilitie than make all user's moves have a 10% chance to burn or poisoning the oponents,in 1/2 of the max hp, the chance's doubles and the poisoning effects become badly poisoning Sorry for any gramatical mistake,i'm not very good um english
People talk about the trick room entry ability but I think a ability that activates trick room at the end of its 2nd turn on entry could be interesting but it might still get banned
Distorted field that also affects it's user,in this case,Giratina, would be bad. Especially for Giratina. Ghost and dragon and known for having many neutral or even resistant interactions with many types. If you invert that, those many resistances become weaknesses. Including incrediblely common types like fire, water, bug, electric and i believe a few others. It would also require a more...unrealistic understanding of the game as a lot of people like to retain one or two weaknesses of a pokemon and go from there. If inverse battles were much more commonplace and this would largely better understood, sure, but that isn't the case. And inverse battles were very much not popular.
For Grounded Flight, it should have Ground type moves become flying type simultaneously instead of the other way around. I understand how you want the ability to work but I think you wrote the description wrong.
@@Rusty_Spymake it like flying press or wtv it is, it chooses the type that is best effective for the role, if EQ is being used against a rock type it will be ground but if it is Being used against a bug or flying type it will be flying, and it is against a flying steel or flying rock it will be both doing neutral damage
I'd say make it so Giratina reverses the type match up for everyone, *but* himself. After all, he's supposed to be in the distortion world, he's used to this.

*Eevee, Evoboost -* "When an ally pokemon that evolves from eevee is sent out, boosts that pokemon's highest stat by a stage, and boosts the user the same stat by a stage".
Slow Start for Regigigas should be reworked, so that it starts at -3 attack and -3 speed, but every turn, you gain +1 speed and +1 attack (honestly, I like it more without limit, but you could limit it to a maxumum of +3)
That way, you still start out crippeled, and switching out resets your progress, but if you can stay in long enough, the ability becomes a net benefit. So instead of just removing the ability with a Weezing as your other Pokemon in double battles, which is boring, you actually would have an incentive to keep the ability and survive the turns needed
Regigigas would still be increadibly weak in the beginning, and easy to KO, but it would no longer be possible to just ignore the Regigigas and set up on it. You have to respect it (especially with substitute/ protect), or it will eventually become a real threat
Roar exists

@@Sarah_Redfox If you must know, the flygon line is based on antlions, a species of insect that spends the majority of its lifespan burrowing to ambush other insects, vibrava and flygon are based on the adult phase of the antlion's life cycle while trapinch is based on its larval state (hence why many people find it weird that its not a bug type)

I want Tropius to get a signature ability that’s related to bananas. I like the name “Potassium Power.” What it would do…idk, but I like the idea nonetheless.
Tropius could have an ability like hospitality and harvest, healing its partner by sharing the bananas with them
@@Cyber_Spirit Ooh that sounds fun.
Special huge power perhaps?
Tropius' Diamond and Pearl Dex entry reads: "Because it continually ate only its favorite fruit, the fruit started growing around its neck."
Said fruit resembles bananas, which seem to have inspired Nanab Berries.

Have some Engagement Credits[TM].
here are some of mine:
Tinkaton- Metal Scrapper (The pokemon's physical attacks are super effective against steel type pokemon).
Electrode: reignition (Once per battle, the pokemon can use explosion/self destruct and be left at 1 HP, allowing it to continue battling until it takes damage or explodes again.)
Turtinator: Detonate (If KOed by a contact move, the pokemon will explode, causing 1/4 of the attacker's HP's worth of damage, and leaving "fiery shrapnel" on the field.
Garchomp flying with the speed of a Jet to pick up dirt and vortex it around an opponent (Sand Tomb)
Garchomp flying with super sonic speed to the fucking Mantle of the earth and digging back up bringing fucking magma with it! (Earth Power)
Honestly, same, because as it stands, giving up rough skin or sand veil for an ability that would only apply to a single move, as garchomp fr only has access to aerial ace...would be unwise. Whereas an inverted grounded flight would apply to like 8 or ,9 moves, making for a fair trade-off
Rotom: worse than levitate on all fronts
Spiritomb: ok but where is the reliable recovery that it would benefit more from
Garchomp: name 1 reason to use this over rough skin when aerial ace is the only boosted move
Dodrio: all of its current abilities are dookie so this is fine i guess
Darmanitan: im pretty sure armarouge is just better
Slowbro: regen is better in every universe dude
Golurk: idk what to say about this
Delibird: it’s still terrible
Giratina: wtf
Your voice is so chill. I love it. Good humour too. New favourite poketuber.
Honestly I like the idea of Giratina, Palkia and Dialga having the Trickroom and Tailwind abilities
But with a catch… they have to hold their respective orbs
If they don’t they remain with Telepathy
That way they will remain useful as pose creep keeps going
"A 20% chance to hit themselves" Ah, so an 80% chance for me and a 20% chance for my opponent. Nice.
LET’S GO GAMBLING! AW DANGIT!
Dialga, the god of time, should set up Trick Room when switching in (similar to drought for Groudon)
Palkia, the god of space, should set up Gravity, as Gravity is just distortions in space time according to Einstein (would be mechanically interesting, because it would give you 100% accurate hydro pumps)
Girantina, the god of the distortion world, should set up Wonder Room when switching in.
Slow Reaction is incredible. I love that as a way to handle a Pokemon that doesn’t care about being slow
The way i actually adore the golurk ability
Rather than split the damage. Slowbro should faint after it's attack the turn it got knocked out. So it make sure, it will move this turn.
I'll be honest, Pressure is actually a good ability on Spiritomb.
I have an ability idea but don't know who to give it too. Here it is anyway:
Eyes of Fortune - The user foresees it's opponent's greed, becoming immune to moves/abilities involving items.
10:44 Delibird + Poltergeist user poke can be a hella problematic
Really love the Giratina ability! Would do WILD meta changes!
Something else you could with Rotom is:
Holding a pokéball will boost his electric moves' power by the current catch rate (So a pokéball would give the equivelent to a +1, a Greatball a +2 and so on), using special balls' abilities too!
A Masterball would always give the largest boost although maybe tied to the quick ball, since it gives a 5x catch rate
Also, with Spiritomb, why not just staright up cursing the one who knocks you out? It uses something people would be familiar with and the other trainer can always switch out if they see fit, making it interactive for both sides!
Rotom having 5x attack turn one would be insane, and works well with trick to remove after the first turn, cool dynamic!
@@Cyber_Spirit I'd say VGC-wise the quick ball bonus would only work on 1st turn and then you trick it to your partner for a better item while they throw it at the enemy or somwthing
4:25 this could work with Tera blast flying too, would be interesting to see on a choice band set maybe
I feel like Rotom should get an ability similar to Tatsugiri where it can possess steel type partners in doubles. And to make it not completely broken it could only boost the highest state of the parnter. (basically a free booster energy for any steel type at the cost of turning into a 2V1)
I got one for Giratina for both forms
Distorted Plains (Altered form) - When this Pokémon is on the field, all priority moves lose priority
Distorted Field (Origin) - When this Pokémon is on the field, all priority moves will have their priority inverted (Example: Quick Attack is -1 Priority)
Distorted Field would actually hinder Giratina as it would remove the immunities to Normal and Fighting.
In singles yes (but you can just use the origin form), but it would have a big effect in doubles, because it also affects your partner, and your opponents. Hisui Avalugg would be great, for example
The playstyle would be comparable to Weezing enableing Regigigas.
And in singles, you are still forgetting the offensive benefits. Yes, it hurts Giratina too, a litle bit. But Giratina has a mid typing. It is ok, but nothing special. A lot of other Pokemon are good specifically because of the typing. You ruin all the steel types, for example
Maybe Bulk Up can change Galarian Darmanitan to its Zen Mode.
INVERSE BATTLES MENTIONED, THANK YOU
I SPENT SO MUCH TIME DOING THEM IN XY AND ORAS CUZ I LIKED THE MESSED UP TYPE CHART FOR SOME REASON
Slow Reaction sounds cool. But I think I have another way it could work:
If Slowbro takes lethal damage and loses all their HP, they will not actually faint until after their turn ends. Effectively letting them set up an advantage for their teammates on the way out the door. Or alternatively, they could try and hit their opponent with one last stab from the grave in hopes of taking them down with them… Potentially stealing a win as the opponent would die first.
Blastoise: Double Cannon. Gives Blastoise the ability to use “gun” moves twice
A sig ability I would give Dialga is…Time Warp
(2 turns move become instant meaning no time is wasted and for the next 2 turns your stats can’t be lowered or raised and status move are no effect on you)
(Outside effect:Time goes faster and nighttime/daytime only pokemon go in day or night respectfully)
Would be interesting, because Roar of Time, Dialgas signature attack, is such a move. In VGC, this could be very interesting together with Xerneas. Dragon/ Steel/ Fairy core, you can run Xerneas without power herb (so life orb Xerneas etc). And Roar of Time is almost twice as strong as dragon pulse :)
Great suggestion, but I would like Dialga to set up Trick Room when switching in (for 5 turns, like drought or drizzle)
Hey! This is a new ability I came up with for Dialga I’m calling it Temporal Loop.
Here’s how it works:
When Dialga’s HP drops below 50% from an opponent’s attack, Temporal Loop activates, and it resets Dialga back to the state it was in at the start of the battle. This means:
• Full HP recovery
• All status conditions like burn, paralysis, or confusion are removed
• Stat changes (positive or negative) are reset to neutral
It’s like Dialga rewinds time to when the fight began!
Some of these are pretty OP such as Mechanical Mischief and Slow reaction.
These are very creative! Gamefreak should take notes!
Idea: Blinding Fury (stuff such as Tauros and idk)
If the Pokemon goes under 1/2 HP, its Atk stat doubles, but its accuracy goes down one stage.
Is it Hustle's weird cousin? Kinda. But maybe this one is actually kinda cool?
It would work on contact, like a weak armour but for attack and accuracy
It's a really good idea, playing with it could feel like playing with reckless

An alternate, slightly less gimmicky way Delibirds could work is as a free trick on switch in, with delibird giving whatever they have, and getting an opponents item. Maybe with a name like Gift Exchange
for it's new ability, Golurk goatsie's itself in front of the opponent
Give Celebe an ability called Time Warp that makes all status moves act like Future Sight
Problem with Giratina’s is that an inverse battle does not benefit Giratina itself.
Suddenly it’d be weak to:
Grass, water, fire, and electric
Fighting and normal
Bug and poison
It would resist ghost, dark, ice, fairy, and dragon
But you probably would have something on its team that already covers those.
This are good idea something I would like to see in the games
I mean the simple way to make slow reaction work is if you switch out the other half of the damage just poof goes away. This is how you make it competitive vs regenerator.
If you take 70% of your max HP and then switch out as regenerator you switch back in with 60%. The same situation with slow reaction and you get back in with 65% but you had to use a switch move to take advantage of it.
This means that slow reaction potentially gives slowbro more sustain than regen at the cost of having to be played in a very specific way
One I've thought is Roid Rage: Atk status increase by 2 stages when hit by a poison type move or gets poisoned. It would fit well with fighting type.
The dodrio one is so neat. It's like komatose ability.
Hypno needs an ability called Trance or something. Which puts Pokémon of the field in a comatose state. Meaning he can use Dream Eater and/or Nightmare.
Make a video like this for starters, i want a great signature hability for my monkey infernape
I think delibirds ability should use the move present on every Pokémon on the field on switch in. 200 damage or a heal could go crazy
Reverse Battles as an Ability makes for sense for Zygarde than for Giratina
Giratina doesn't have anything to do with reversing Type interactions, or affecting them in any way.
Machamp: Punch barrage
The pokemon can punch at lightning fast speed.
Punching moves deal 1/3 damage but hit 2-5 times. Doesn't apply to multi-hit moves.
Golurk: Overload
The pokemon can't contain its power.
When the pokemon attacks, its damage increases but loses hp. Basically Life orb as an ability.
Mawile: Deceitful
The pokemon hides its true intentions to surprise its opponent.
The first time the pokemon uses a Dark type move, it has increased priority and makes the target flinch.
Magcargo: Magma armor
The pokemon's body evaporates water on contact, causing it to cool down and solidify.
When hit by a Water type move, it nullifies the damage and increases defense.
Smeargle: True colors
The pokemon can't help but express itself.
Golurk ability idea: Power unleash
In game description: When injured, the pokemon loses it's seal and deals more damage and move slightly faster.
How about "Final Strike"
When a pokemon is knocked out before it uses it's move, they will still use the attack before fainting and the move cannot miss.
Goated selection of mons. I think spiritomb’s ability should interact with special moves - seems more spiritualistic in nature and physical is already punished enough through burn, intimidate, strength sap etc
Also golurk’s ability could have an effect like Glowbro’s side shell arm, switching it from physical to special
I've always wanted abilities to double up as overworld uses
Houndoom:
Chem Burn: fire moves have a 5% chance of badly poisoning the opponent
this could also apply to salazzle but she already has a good ability
Maybe an abilitie than make all user's moves have a 10% chance to burn or poisoning the oponents,in 1/2 of the max hp, the chance's doubles and the poisoning effects become badly poisoning
Sorry for any gramatical mistake,i'm not very good um english
Spirits could alternatively be a “Haunted” status condition, then Spiritomb could have a Static copycat ability
People talk about the trick room entry ability but I think a ability that activates trick room at the end of its 2nd turn on entry could be interesting but it might still get banned
Before I saw this video when I saw the art cover was absolutely hilarious know if only that was Cynthia’s garchop
damn so many of these are so good
I still don't get the explanation of the Spiritomb one, what does 'release its spirits' do?
I think Spiritomb should have some sort of special intimidate, "spiritual stare"
awesome video! i wonder what armaldos signature ability would be
Great video you should keep going 👍🏼
I love this so much!
What song is playing when delibird starts to get brought up
Distorted field that also affects it's user,in this case,Giratina, would be bad. And inverse battles were very much not popular.
dodrio, delibird, slowbro, and golurk's are cool. others are way too OP
lazy lookout is very creative
For Grounded Flight, it should have Ground type moves become flying type simultaneously instead of the other way around. I understand how you want the ability to work but I think you wrote the description wrong.
That would only make it's ground moves way worse for no benefit.
@@Rusty_Spymake it like flying press or wtv it is, it chooses the type that is best effective for the role, if EQ is being used against a rock type it will be ground but if it is Being used against a bug or flying type it will be flying, and it is against a flying steel or flying rock it will be both doing neutral damage
what if you had Darmanitan change forms with Calm mind AND Bulk Up?
