I saw him in the door of the egg golem cut scene but it was only once and i kept trying to replay it and never saw it again. I thought i was just up too late and seeing things because i never knew about any of these cameos until today, like 14 years later
I can't tell you how satisfying this video is to watch. As someone who grew up with the GC version, I remember going on like IGN, GameFaqs, and Supercheats as a kid and seeing tons of posts saying, "Big the Cat can be found here...", with no photographic proof or anything. After a while I just thought they were trolling. They would get my hopes up, just to have them crushed when I would search high and low and not find Big anywhere (besides by mashing buttons in a few cutscenes). Even once I was older and found more documentation on how Big was only in the DC version, and was replaced with inaccessible rings in the GC version, I just felt gypped. Thank you for making this video, and I'm glad Big was added back in to what appears to be the definitive version of this game.
Wow, no problem! I was pretty confused myself, since I also grew up with the GC version, but I VERY vaguely remember trying to trigger the cutscene cameos, but whether they were successful or not has completely left my memory at this point. I’m not the first one to go over this, and I’ve been told that there are other cutscene cameos in the PC version that I missed (there was one in the first hero cutscene that I couldn’t trigger, though, so take that with a grain of salt) but I’m always glad for people to get a lot of good stuff out of my content! P.S. Most people say the Dreamcast version is the “definitive” version, but I grew up with the GC, so I don’t care that much.
