I rather much prefer Shadow as a Kind, Gentle, Genuine, Courageous, Independent and Strong Heroic Black Hedgehog to the Heroes Side, better than the Villainous Dark Side. Shadow REALLY misses Gerard and Maria Robotnik, with all of his Heart. He works better with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Rouge, Omega, Espio, Charmy and Vector. Not as hard as the Japanese release, unfortunately. The Japanese version of Shadow The Hedgehog was actually released a full month after the North American release (November 15th, 2005 in the USA, December 15th of that same year in Japan,), and the theme song used was not actually originally made for the game. The Japanese version of Shadow The Hedgehog used the m-flo song Tripod Baby as the theme song, even going so far as to get an exclusive “Shadow The Hedgehog Mix” version, and also both the original and Shadow versions had their own music videos.
When it comes to this game, is decent, but flawed. And it’s mostly the fault of its Hero/Dark mechanics. If this game didn’t have the morality mechanic (since it doesn’t matter at the end of the story), and just had a singular path with Shadow questioning stuff until the end, this game could’ve been a top seller, despite the guns & mild swearing.
I really hate the repetitive bosses in this game. It's either Eggman, Black Doom, or GUN that you're fighting over and over...none of em ever look or feel different...it's the same sh*t. Good level designs horrible bosses
