I exercise in a fasted state and it was the best way for me to initially lose weight/fat. Our bodies are not meant to eat all day long and even the three meals a day is more of a modern day living concept. Our ancestors would have fasted regularly or eaten one meal a day.
It depends on your goals but yeah
Our ancestors feast then fasted
It's not complicated but modern day made alot of complication with its chemical pollution mafia destruction n greed
Yesss dr li love it!! His books r so good too, food is medicine! Thank u for having him & excellent questions!🙌🍾
My very British Mom-in Law used to say, “In the morning eat like a king, in the afternoon eat like a prince & in the evening eat like a pauper!”
Excellent interview❤
Can someone summarise this please.
### Key Takeaways:
#### Metabolism and Weight Loss:
- Capsaicin in chili peppers activates the TRPV1 receptor, leading to endorphin and noradrenaline release, which in turn activates brown fat for calorie burning.
- Whole foods, especially those rich in fiber and nutrients, promote satiety and weight loss.
- Intermittent fasting, adequate sleep, and avoiding late-night eating contribute to weight management.
- Diets rich in Mediterranean or Asian foods, such as tomatoes, avocados, and leafy greens, support weight loss.
- Incorporating foods like canned beans, lentils, and seafood rich in omega-3 fatty acids can enhance metabolism and fat fighting.
- Consuming calories earlier in the day and eating within a 10-hour window can improve overall health and reduce chronic disease risk.
#### Circadian Rhythm and Sleep:
- Exposure to appropriate light is essential for regulating the body's internal clock, with bright light in the morning and dim light in the evening recommended.
- The widespread use of artificial light and screens has disrupted circadian rhythms, impacting sleep and health.
- Strategies to mitigate artificial light effects include reducing exposure before bedtime, using dimmer switches, and adjusting device settings for warmer tones.
- Consistent daily routines and using low blue light bulbs can support better sleep and circadian rhythm regulation.
#### Inflammation and Mental Health:
- Chronic inflammation, influenced by stressors and diet, can negatively affect physical and mental health.
- The gut microbiome plays a significant role in regulating the inflammatory response.
- Chronic inflammation is linked to mental health issues like depression and anxiety.
- Diet impacts brain health, with certain foods having anti-inflammatory effects that can improve mental well-being.
- The antidepressant food scale helps identify foods beneficial for preventing and treating depression.

Red Chili?@@mymillionaireclub7591
@mymillionaireclub7591 But also do everything else that leads to improved health. I live in the heart of the southwest and obesity, diabetes, and hypertension is still running wild among the nearly 80% of people who consume hot chili every day.

Very interesting but is there any summaries for these long interviews for the general person
I may be a bit confused about the described process for growing plants. Were you speaking to conventional farming? Currently, most farmers don't clear a field, used a disc implement for planting, etc. All of that is changing with the smaller farmers. And if you shop at local farm markets, it helps cut down on buying something that was trucked from 1, 2, or more states away.
GREAT CONTENT!!!!

In response to, "Excess fat slows metabolism not the inverse" at 35:15 - while I don't dispute this, I think you miss that genetic factors set the original metabolic line - which is different for all of us. (For instance, MC4R gene mutations are linked to severe, childhood-onset obesity, GLUT2 gene variants (rs5400) with T allele are linked to poor glucose sensing, OXTR variants, APOA2 gene variants, FTO genetic loci... on and on) With this in mind, I question the data results mentioned at 33:07 stating, "stripping the fat from the data showed everyone is born with the same exact metabolism." If by fats, he means 'all genes' affecting fats, and by data, the 'Human Genome', it doesn't quite make sense. There are over 6,000 genes that affect a person's weight. Even if you removed the genes affecting fats, there are variants/mutations in what remains.
@AJ_411
Very well put; and I totally agree. 💯!
I always take this (basically generic)
health/diet advice with a grain of salt😊 - because so much depends on a particular planotype, as well as existing SNPs in any given individual.
More folks should (but obviously don't) realize this... surely these YT health scientists do know this! But, for the purposes of maintaining their dietary/health biases for influencing the general public (and selling their diet books😒) they don't mention these factors.
So, now...we have the SM diet wars bc so many are of the mind that if a particular way of eating works for them, that means it works the same for everybody! 😅

Could you speak to lechtins. It's the latest bandwagon that you should cut out lechtins because they are toxic, which is tomatoes. Is this important or even true?
If that were true, the entirety of Italy would be being poisoned on a daily basis. How ridiculous.
true but cook your vegetables well and they degrade
@kimberlyparr4567
It's apparently 'true' for folks like Dr. Gundry, who wants to sell his olive oil on YT😅

What commission do you get from Athletic Greens bought through your site?
That's a bit mean he needs to make a bit and if they are tested and are good There are some that are cheaper have you any you use

Dr hospital takes money from pharmaceutical to slowly kill you, so assume you r right he takes money from athletic , at least he talk about natural stuff not chemical, so now get lost, I’m sure you belong to those groups.
Am I right in saying having turkey tail can start to reverse things like diabetes & shrink cancers etc. Why don't the pharmaceuticals tell us about benefits of real medicine
I'm allergic to soy. I found out the hard way that soy is one of the 8 major food a!lergens.
How’d you find out? I took a test and I’m not allergic to anything but soy and gluten bother me
@@ATMabuser I went to a group session with a medical intuitive who told me that I don't digest beans well. I stopped the soy and my symptoms slowly went away. I started eating what was supposed to be a 7 grain gluten free bread. I started having symptoms again. I looked more closely at the ingredients and one of the flours was soy flour. I'm not sure why the company decided that soy is a grain. Stopped eating that bread.
Why not chia seeds for omegas? No heavy metals, no toxines and no saturated fat in it.

Some skinny complain, they're getting too skinny. What healthy food is for them when they maybe a cold.
I do NOT like hot peppers at all. Banana peppers are the closest I can come to eating "hot" peppers... and as you know, banana peppers are not very hot... if at all. I don't eat hot peppers because I like to TASTE my food, not completely numb my mouth so that I can't taste anything. I actually LIKE food so that's why I don't eat hot peppers.
