I was made fun of for my 14 v6 which I had intake catback and tune and it sounded awesome, not as good as this but I just don't get it just because it's a sixer doesn't mean it's weak or not a sports car these cars are still a blast to drive and are pretty quick when you start modding them
hell yea. they are tons of fun. at this point in time I don't want a gt. I love the mpg that I'm getting and insurance doesn't kill me. it's your car so you should have pride in what you drive and don't let others disprove that. if they say you should've gotten a gt then let then get the gt
+Joon Kim I would never get rid of my car based off what others say I had 2 3.7s and loved them both, I also had a 11' gt/cs 5.0 I definitely wish I had that but I hate the v8 or nothing mentality, these cars look just as good if not better in some cases and of course they're not going to be as fast as a gt but they definitely have they're perks with mpgs and insurance, keep rocking it man 👍🏻
Tell the Gt guy to go buy a 2018 mustang cobra, they run 8s in the quarter turn key. At only 140,000 and up it's a steal... if they even know what it is, most mustang guys say gt500 or gt350r.
Just got a sweet deal bundle package for both the flowmasters v6 x pipe and outlaw exhaust tips barely used for $400! Only thing I had to worry about were really the shipping costs! lol I can't wait to install them tomorrow!
that will be loud as hell. and a bit more raspy than my setup. in my personal experience straight pipes are a bit too high pitched for me. this setup is deff loud but has that deep tone as well
This is just the x pipe and flowmaster, nothing else? I want to make sure mine will sound the same if I were to go for something like the last rev you had in there
Carz 2016 I went axelbacks first then an xpipe. I would recommend axelbacks or intake first. and then whatever you get first get the other second. that's my recommendation
DavyDave1313 so if you're looking for idle noise as well the outlaws are best. it's deep enough with just an axelback for you to have some kind of idle noise over the roush axelbacks
yea in this video it's just the flowmaster xpipe with the flowmaster outlaw axelbacks. I have wheels and tires and will be getting an intake soon with a tune
I bought the axelbacks from americanmuscle.com and the xpipe I think you can buy it on the same website now. otherwise check out flowmasters website. installation wise, it's easier if you have a lift cause you have to cut everything and then clamp it on. I have it all welded, didn't want anything to be Loose or have leaks. the install of the axelbacks was 100. and then the xpipe plus weld was 150 for me
Julian Torres sorry for the late reply. it's a manual so it automatically revs up to 7k. I believe I only it a little over 6k in it but from 6500 to 7k not much difference in sound
Joon Kim sounds good its because i have the exact same set up that you have i have the outlaw flowmasters, Scavanger X Pipe and SCT Programmer with The 93PR-X tune i just need to set my Rev Limiter to 7000 then lol Thanks i really appreciate it!!
Julian Torres hahahaha thanks lol. it sounds so good. but I have the longtubes and the shorty xpipe. I'm gonna install those and run a double xpipe. hopefully it'll be in by January
Alright sounds good lol, and damn thats going to be a very good set up lol yeah i was thinking of getting long tube BBK headers but im just gonna wait a few months lol.
to me the drone didn't get worse. it got better cause in the higher rpm band the sound was a bit more high pitched then deep. and compared from the stock setup this is a 8/10. I want to put longtube headers now to get that 10/10.
yes there is but everyone has their own tolerance to drone. it doesn't bother me cause honestly every exhaust has drone. but I have friends that say the drone is ok. You'll notice it between 1k to 2k
+Timothy King well the stock piping for the v6 is 2.25in. if you get an axelback the piping becomes 2.5 at least that's what happened when I got my outlaws. the stock piping on the gt is 2.5in. so if my axelbacks are 2.5 then I would want a 2.5in midsection so I'm not bottlenecking the exhaust flow. also if you get headers they outlet is 2.5in as well
So I have an uninstalled Outlaw Flow master Exhaust for my 2016 Mustang Ecoboost Premium. When I take it into a shop to get installed what exactly to I need to tell them to do in order to get my car to sound exactly like yours?
That's going to be a little difficult. Your center exhaust is going to by a ypipe while mine is an xpipe. So sound wise it wont sound exactly the same.
Unfortunately the ecoboost platform doesnt have an xpipe. Because the exhaust comes back from the turbo it's a single pipe that splits into two pipes which makes a why shape. This will get pricey but you could have your mid section split into 2 pipes alot earlier and then cross to make an xpipe.
was the x-pipe a direct fit or did you have to modify a bit to fit? i seen these xpipes in American muscle but they advertise only for gt bit cjponyparts has them under v6
Alviwithyou the flowmaster xpipe that I had during this time was the v6 version so the pipe was 2.25 in diameter. And you have to cut the center resonator off and either weld in the xpipe or clamp it down. I had my full exhaust welded
Alviwithyou the one I had was for the v6 so the piping was 2.25 in. I switched to longtubes and the shorty off road xpipe which was 2.75in. so I ended up selling it and getting the sr performance xpipe for the gt mustang which is a 2.5in xpipe
Alviwithyou well I did the sr performance set up for the longtubes. if you like that sound then I'd say go for the sr performance and save some money in the long run. the video is on my page of my current setup
Do you prefer the borla Ataks? Or flowmaster with xpipe? right now I have borla atak axle back with resonator delete just 2 straight pipes in there rn it’s not horrible but idk if I like it much
So I got a video of my current setup with longtubes catless and a double xpipe on the flowmasters and the ataks. I prefer the outlaws since there is more sound depth. I prefer the deeper sound and can live with the drone. If you want little drone but noise the ataks. If you want the low grumble and deeper but loud noise then the outlaws
I been looking for a mid pipe but idk which to go with I currently just have the axle back exhaust I prefer having a deep growl with the exhaust any recommendations ?
Hey man I was just wondering, How did you fit the GT FM scavenger X pipe onto the v6? Also, what was the total install fee for both exhaust and pipe? Thanks man.
Publius Gatt it'll be like the corsa double helix xpipe. but it would be a smaller diameter pipe. 3in is too big on the v6. you'll lose alot of back pressure. and because so far no one has done it yet on a s550 v6 yet that I know of. so might as well give it a shot
I know it's been 7 years but I want you to know because of this video I did this EXACT build TWICE on two of my mustangs
Awesome
Got this same set up on my mustang thanks to this video. Thank you bro.
I was made fun of for my 14 v6 which I had intake catback and tune and it sounded awesome, not as good as this but I just don't get it just because it's a sixer doesn't mean it's weak or not a sports car these cars are still a blast to drive and are pretty quick when you start modding them

+Sonicaceman yea man. same to you. I need to do an update video for my car

As an ecoboost owner feel the same way. They hate on 4 cyl, I love all engines don’t get me wrong
Sounds even louder with the x pipe 👍🏼 Major props bro
Best sounding V6 I've ever heard
Thanks mate
Hello I have the exact same setup this is spot on same sound louder than the stock 5.0 I would say race car sound I will be posting one very soon.
christopher lopez thank you. can't wait to hear yours
Sounds great man, nice set up!
thank you thank you
Just got a sweet deal bundle package for both the flowmasters v6 x pipe and outlaw exhaust tips barely used for $400! Only thing I had to worry about were really the shipping costs! lol I can't wait to install them tomorrow!
Eric Chavez wtf where!
Sounds great. Do you also have shorty headers?
This is hard 💯🔥
Sounds straight nasty can't imagine how loud it is in person
it's very loud. I've since added an intake and the sound has changed slightly
+Joon Kim do you think you can make an updated video? I'd love to hear it. Thanks
+TheOneTheyCallTitan Uh yes I can. let me wash the car first and then take a video. should have it up in the next 2 to 3 days
Is there annoying sound inside the car?
Hey, is there any drone with thi set up?
There is but it's not that bad
yes. but doesnt drown out radio or conversation in cab
Sounds like a super car
how is this exhaust overall ? any complaints ?
Did you install it yourself? If not how much were u charged for installation?
You sure in this video all you got is savenger x pipe flowmaster the one for the v6 from american muscle? And a flowmaster axle back
A smd 100 percent positive
Loud asf
Adam Sisneros you should see how loud it is with headers. Have 2 videos one with the flowmasters and the other with borla ataks
Was just wondering this is just the X-pipe and the flow master outlaws?
shagyrockssf bay area yes just that
Where did U get this exhaust
Flowmaster 2.25 in. Scavenger Series Resonator Delete X-Pipe
Adam Sisneros yes that one
Great video!! Are you still selling your x-pipe?
This sounds insane! Much better than Roush. I was thinking about getting an x pipe and straight pipe axle backs. What do you think of that?
that will be loud as hell. and a bit more raspy than my setup. in my personal experience straight pipes are a bit too high pitched for me. this setup is deff loud but has that deep tone as well
haha yeah but straight pipes are cheap :D
+Oli this is true
How is the cabin noise? Any drone?
There's a fare bit of drone. But it doesn't really bother me. Everyone has there on preference
Did the X pipe lessen the drone in the 2-3k range?
it lessened it by a little. but I'm about to change the xpipe for another one so I can have a full 2.5in exhaust
This is just the x pipe and flowmaster, nothing else? I want to make sure mine will sound the same if I were to go for something like the last rev you had in there
dvisk1995 yes this is just an xpipe and the outlaws
Joon Kim And no tune? I dont feel like mine would be able to sound like that from stock to x-pipe axle back
No tune on this video
I'm getting a mustang for my first car I hope these will be the first mods
Carz 2016 I went axelbacks first then an xpipe. I would recommend axelbacks or intake first. and then whatever you get first get the other second. that's my recommendation
DavyDave1313 so if you're looking for idle noise as well the outlaws are best. it's deep enough with just an axelback for you to have some kind of idle noise over the roush axelbacks
Hey men i though intake was useless when you dont tune your car first
Get a v8. Go big or go home
All you have are flowmasters with x pipe? Any other work done to it? Like muffler delete or engine work?
yea in this video it's just the flowmaster xpipe with the flowmaster outlaw axelbacks. I have wheels and tires and will be getting an intake soon with a tune
+Joon Kim I have a intake and throttle body, will that make a different in sound as well?
Umm I'm not too sure but it should make a different induction sound
+Joon Kim ok well my pipes suppose to come Monday so I'll see then
+Jeremy Burse I just uploaded two videos, just got my pipes done, take a look an let me know what you think
What website did you buy this setup from and were you able to install it yourself without any major mods?
I bought the axelbacks from americanmuscle.com and the xpipe I think you can buy it on the same website now. otherwise check out flowmasters website. installation wise, it's easier if you have a lift cause you have to cut everything and then clamp it on. I have it all welded, didn't want anything to be Loose or have leaks. the install of the axelbacks was 100. and then the xpipe plus weld was 150 for me
What at rpm were the first two revs? thanks
Is that just the exhaust no other mods?
Adam Sisneros yes that is correct
Hey bro did you get your parts from American muscle . Com
Adam Sisneros yes but just the flowmaster outlaw axelbacks in their video
Flowmaster 2.25 in. Scavenger Series Resonator Delete X-Pipe
Is this the x pipe u got
Just got my exhaust trying to find someone to install it cant wait hope it sounds exact
what was your rev limiter set to? sounds amazing
Julian Torres hahahah no probs. the 2step however is at 4500rpm.
What kind of high flow cars are u running
In this video it's just the factory cats. I'm catless now
@@SmallBawlzProduction thank u bc i thinking of doing this on my 2012 v6
at the time of this video did you have a tune and cats?
Conner Maggi no to the tune and yes I still had the cats
Any HP Gains?
were did u ordered the X Pipe from
Nicholas Calamaco bought it off of flowmaster. however I am selling this xpipe now if you're interested
Yo this is a v6? Cause I have a v6 and I’ve been skeptical about buying an x pipe but that sounds good
Yes its a v6
Where did you get your x-pipe?
you can buy it on americanmuscle.com or on flowmasters website. I got it off the mustang6g forums
Joon Kim Hope you still reply to this, will the GT scavenger fit on my v6? I already have the Outlaws but I was wondering about this
What tune are you running?
Demondre Spencer in this video it was mpt
Do you have the outlaw series axle back specifically for the v6 or do you have the one for the gt?
the v6 ones. the gt ones are 3in exhausts
Ok thank you. Sounds great
With the x pipe, is the drone any worse? This seems like the most cost effective set up for me lol! On a 1-10 scale, how would you rate the volume?
to me the drone didn't get worse. it got better cause in the higher rpm band the sound was a bit more high pitched then deep. and compared from the stock setup this is a 8/10. I want to put longtube headers now to get that 10/10.
I just got a v6 2016 can I purchase the resenator x pipe delete?
yes you can. either go on flowmasters site or go on americanmuscle.com it's called the flowmaster scavenger xpipe
+Joon Kim awesome I seen it but couldn't tell if it was for gt only
+Execute Tourneys no there's an option for the v6. the v6 has 2.25in piping and the gt has 2.5in tubing
+Joon Kim awesome I got the resonator delete today and added an x pipe! it almost sounds the same I need to get muffler delete
Is that the exact x pipe you got ?
Adam Sisneros I had the flowmaster scavenger xpipe with the flowmaster outlaws
My automatic stops at 4k at reving how do I change that cuz my brothers automatic eco boost doesn't
the autos will stop there if its not tuned. and if tuned by mpt tell them not to put the 2step on that way you can rev to 7k
Joon Kim the gt can rev to 7k in a auto
HipHop Johnny no-one asked
is there drone?
yes there is but everyone has their own tolerance to drone. it doesn't bother me cause honestly every exhaust has drone. but I have friends that say the drone is ok. You'll notice it between 1k to 2k
+Joon Kim Yeah, I don't think I'll spend 500+ to have some annoying drone. not worth it
+Michael Ortiz like I said. it depends on person to person. what you may find annoying for drone may not bother me at all.
but yo is this savenger x pipe the one for v6 or gt?
A smd this one is for a v6
Where in the hell can I find this Xpipe? Christ!
Americanmuscle.com get the gt xpipe. or go to flowmasters website
+Joon Kim the gt xpipe will fit the v6 exhaust? Thought there might be a discrepancy since it's only for the gt.
+Timothy King well the stock piping for the v6 is 2.25in. if you get an axelback the piping becomes 2.5 at least that's what happened when I got my outlaws. the stock piping on the gt is 2.5in. so if my axelbacks are 2.5 then I would want a 2.5in midsection so I'm not bottlenecking the exhaust flow. also if you get headers they outlet is 2.5in as well
+Joon Kim yeah, the axelbacks wasn't what I was referring to. I meant from the resonator or even with a resonator delete. Without the headers.
What’s the decibel reading on this ? Would it be fined in CA specifically LA
Probably. It's going to read in the 90s to 105
Oof, CA sucks man I’d be nailed with tickets
Yea I've heard how crazy it's gotten. The setup I have right now hits 150.6
What the decibel reading b4 the x pipe and just the flow masters ? Would that be legal in LA?
It should be gonna be around like 80
how are you able to rev and hold it so high doesnt it kick off at 4k and idle again until your remove and press again?
Thats for automatics.
@@SmallBawlzProduction damn
@@razorgaming6125 but a tune will change that
@@SmallBawlzProduction mine is tuned but it only let's me go up to 5100 not full rev
@@razorgaming6125 who's it tuned by
what does an xpipe do on our cars?
Conner Maggi it makes the exhaust sound a little louder and gives slightly more horsepower in the top end
automatic or manual? sounds mean af!!!!! , i have an automatic so it doesn't let me rev the full way D:
yea it's a manual. that's why it let's me red line on rev
+Joon Kim I was wondering why it was so freaking loud lol. Very nice sound!
+Gavin Luna gotta love the manual. and thank you
is it all 2.5" piping?
Louis Leggieri May be is 2.25” for v6 part # 81107
And how good is the sound
SynQViper alot of people liked the sound. I have since put longtubes on it
Joon Kim is it super loud without the longtubes just with this setup
SynQViper Oh it's still super loud. I turned alot of heads. it just got dumb loud with the longtubes
Joon Kim yeah i want dumb loud, but i was thinking about straight pipes and x pipes
Scavenger x pipe?
yea that's the name that flowmaster gave it
yea that's the name that flowmaster gave it

Fucking Beautiful
i think i was deafened by just a video
was the x-pipe a direct fit or did you have to modify a bit to fit? i seen these xpipes in American muscle but they advertise only for gt bit cjponyparts has them under v6

I switched to longtubes and the shorty off road xpipe which was 2.75in. so I ended up selling it and getting the sr performance xpipe for the gt mustang which is a 2.5in xpipe
im trying to run your setup here but idk do you like your sr performance more than this? was their a diffrence in hp gain loss or sound.
Alviwithyou well I did the sr performance set up for the longtubes. if you like that sound then I'd say go for the sr performance and save some money in the long run. the video is on my page of my current setup

no it was a warm start. had driven the car around for 15 minutes before this video
I imagine it's a lot louder on a cold start. Got any videos? I just bought a 2016 V6 and I want a setup like yours
+MSMLuna Uh I'll try it's pretty warm in maryland now but I'll see what I can do might take some time though
Sweet! I always go back to your video when trying to find a good exhaust setup! Have you looked into the Tomtop head unit upgrade?
+MSMLuna yea I have but there are alot of problems with it. there is actually a new version that's not TomTop for a sync 3 looking version
I been looking for a mid pipe but idk which to go with I currently just have the axle back exhaust I prefer having a deep growl with the exhaust any recommendations ?
Yosef partida which axelbacks do you have? And probable an hpipe
how much
Nicholas Calamaco I'm looking at 150 plus shipping. original cost is 250. email me cpt.joonkim@gmail.com
Where yall get this so cheap at
I'm planing buy one as well. How did he get it so cheap???
Hey man I was just wondering,
How did you fit the GT FM scavenger X pipe onto the v6?
Also, what was the total install fee for both exhaust and pipe?
Thanks man.
John Cho Flowmaster sells an x-pipe for the v6 with the right diameter
How loud 1-10
i have the same set up too loud in my opinion getting my shorty header next week hopefully it tunes it down a little
REPLY
Do you have any recommendations to make a 20120 V6 sound something like this? And if not, how to make it louder?
Jackie Chan umm a very similar setup would be a roush axelbacks with an hpipe.
Joon Kim Thanks for replying so quickly :) Ill see what different options I can find.
Where did you purchase the XPipe?
Why Are You Switching To Double X Pipe?
Publius Gatt it'll be like the corsa double helix xpipe. but it would be a smaller diameter pipe. 3in is too big on the v6. you'll lose alot of back pressure. and because so far no one has done it yet on a s550 v6 yet that I know of. so might as well give it a shot
