Dude thank you so much for this video!!! I've always wondered if it's possible to do it on a game controller or plastic!!! I'm actually putting together a Nintendo switch for my husband and I'm trying to customize it, Diablo style!! Anyways thanks to you it makes my life a lot easier now 👍🤗😄🙂
I do the same but with a spray gun. I use automotive clear rather than a spray can (leaves a more durable and even finish). Then wet sand and polish to a mirror finish. I'd also recommend using no lower than 320 grit throughout the entire process unless you want scratches in the final product.

I took apart both of my ps4 controllers using your videos and made a deadpool mod podge controller and a Fallout 4 modpodge controller. Also put in some custom bullet buttons and joysticks i picked up on ebay. Upgraded the 1000mah Batteries to a 2000mah. Just wanted to say thanks for posting such a great DIY video. Forever a subcriber! ;)

looks great. but if you look closer you can see that the 2 parts dont fit correctly together and you can see the paper pieces going out which doesnt look so great.
This was great, the comment below me says that they don't fit together correctly but I know he couldn't of done a better job. I would def buy one of these

Hey, fantastic video. Was amazingly thorough and detailed. One small suggestion during reassembly that I thought I'd mention: if you attach the L2/R2 buttons back onto the inner rig before sliding the back cover on you'll have an easier time making sure the springs are where they're supposed to be. Then you can just pull the triggers in as you slide the bottom on and they'll pop into place. Just a thought in case you'd like to try a different way of doing it. Thanks a lot for the video. The controller looks great.
Drumblanket your triggers still work without the springs, they are just really sensitive and quite annoying sometimes, I do like the spring-less triggers for FPS games though

I like this video good job bro. The only problem is when your taking it apart you have to make sure you put it back together PERFECTLY otherwise one mistake can destroy the controller and you will have to buy another one. but overall Good video and very helpful.
Don't be stupid True but still if you hit something severe in the controller you will have to still buy one. And last time I checked the parts that made this controller was way more exspensive then the controller itself.
wrong wrong wrong and wrong. Putting the controller back together isnt difficult and taking caution while taking the controller apart isnt difficult. Ive never needed to replace anything in a controller Ive worked on ever. This is a simple project and can be done by anyone ages 8 and up (with parental guidance).

You know who does not like your Joker controller? The Red Skull. He wants his own PS4 and controller and he had a sour look on his face. I'm just saying that it is not a good idea to upset the Red Skull. I think you probably made a number of super-villains upset by this. Yes, Joker thinks it is very HI-larious, but Red Skull I think was very serious about wanting a Red Skull themed PS4 and controller. With the Hydra Logo too, and images of Red Skull of course.
Actually a Captain America themed PS4 system would rock. The question would be how to do it? Solid Blue with the Shield emblem? That would be my guess. I'd play with the idea though. You do extraordinary solid work. Love it. Make more videos. I enjoyed it.

you could always paint first then use sharpies or permanent marker, I suppose. Then do a clear coat on top to keep it intact. Dont appreciate your work. or B. Dont want to pay more than 60.00 for an order when the price of materials usually cost around 60.00 so they dont want to pay for my time or shipping.
You can go on ebay and buy a PS4 colored housing shell , thumb sticks and buttons for your remote controller. It will be shipped from China and it will take around 2 weeks to get it in, but everything does go well and fits great.

people say dont spray paint the buttons and the analog sticks but does it affect fps gameplay??
carrey fong thick paints like rustoleum will hinder your button movement. So I like to use duplicolor or just buy new colored buttonses.

3 coats. Follow the video and it will tell you. Krylon is kinda thick so I always suggest using Duplicolor.

+ben kakonda I use to run a website where people could place orders but no one ever did. I also used to take custom orders from people over youtube but what happens is people either A. Dont appreciate your work. or B. Dont want to pay more than 60.00 for an order when the price of materials usually cost around 60.00 so they dont want to pay for my time or shipping.

You can go on ebay and buy a PS4 colored housing shell , thumb sticks and buttons for your remote controller. It will be shipped from China and it will take around 2 weeks to get it in, but everything does go well and fits great.

220 for the controller. 2000 to wet sand. No problem!

+ItsUtastic Yeah that would be fine. I personally made a switch to 400 grit sandpaper recently and have much better results.
How bad would it be if I didn’t use clear coat because I don’t have any and I don’t know if I should paint it now and get clear coat when I can or wait
