Wow I’ve never seen such thorough teaching. I’ve shot archery for years and never heard or seen anyone teach like this!! Going to have to shoot my bow tomorrow while watching this. Very good job!
Great shop. Bruce has an infectious passion for archery. Being a newbie, I was intimidated to walk into a shop with no knowledge of bows or shooting. These guys walked me through it all from product to performance and still are. Client for life!
This is definitely my favorite bow shop. I move around a lot and have been to multiple shops. These guys care and stand behind the products they sell. If I didn’t live in VA now I would still have them work on my bow
WOW! Finally your featured in TH-cam, congratulations, from an avid archer who bought his compound bow in your shop. You definitely are a good and awesome teacher who is very professional.
Excellent teach, His focus on the mechanics of the student are really special. And she is becoming a good shot because she is teachable... coaching golf, tennis, and soccer I found most girls are better learners than guys their same age.
Got the same rundown the other day from Bruce. Bought my bow at another shop (mistake) but Bruce spent a couple of hours with me getting my bow tuned and my form dialed in. Great shop and experience they will be the only pro shop I use. I highly recommend this shop and its staff.
Wow she did awesome! Holding it together with all those points of execution. I would have yanked the trigger so many times! Great teaching goes along way !
BEEN SHOOTING BOWS SINCE I WAS 12 THAT 55 YEAR AGO AND NOW I OWN ONE LONG BOW , TWO RECURVE AND 4 COMPOUND AND PLANING TO GET A NEW RECURVE AND COMPOUND GETTING OLD AND NEED LOWER POUNDAGE , ANYWAY I COULD TELL YOU MAKE ONE HELL OF A COACH TO THE OLYMPICS LEVEL SHOOTERS AND YOU HAVE A NEW SUB YOUR NEVER TOO OLD TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW
As a friend who owns a bow shop has told me for years. Women listen and guys don't. Great job on teaching and great job on listening young lady. Guys, shut-up and listen. Out.
Awesome video mate. I got ptsd and anxiety so for me archery is meditation and relaxation. Ive in a bow club and loaning gear now. But am out of work so cant afford my own gear i dream of having a good recurve bow and target so i can shoot everyday would help me a lot both with the ptsd/anxiety and getting in better shape.
Great stuff! One more thing that will help you setup your shot process properly...do not draw your arm back below your chest. That engages your upper trapezius muscles. Turn your string hand pinky finger skyward and draw your bow like the arm of a locomotive train. This will engage your Rhomboids which is what loads up your back tension. I'm sure your coach will agree. Nice work young lady and nicely done coach 👏 👍
You were very thorough and was confident you'd be making adjustments. Too heavy draw weight, too long draw length, and drawing low across the body are the most common mistakes I see...including most tv show hunters. I commend your coaching.
Wilcox Bait and Tackle a Newport News, Virginia. You will get a similar experience there dealing with Tom Wilcox who has been in the industry for many years. I moved to Pennsylvania from Virginia 12 years ago and just last year I bought a new Matthew's VXR and drove 6 hours to see him and no one else. The right guy building your bow and showing you how to use it makes all the difference.
This guy has the resolve of a statue. He didn't even let his eyes drop at all. I couldn't be teaching women like that. I'd definitely try to hide it and be respectful, but I mean my eyes are definitely dropping.
Bow n Arrow shop is one of the best places that I’ve been to for archery I first went there two years ago and they helped me out a lot I highly recommend go in there.
Dam that's awesome in the UK i got myself a bow but was on my own at that point with the help of the net actually managed to get it kind off set up what a learning curve i still lern and after this video a little wiser again thanks👍
I learned to shoot & hunt a with a 50 lb. Indian Archery recurve. No mechanical anything, no levels or counter balance, no mechanical release, no pins or sights. Later I did superglue a small stick pin with a plastic head on it for my 20 yard pin. My goal was all shots into a 9" paper plate at 30 yards. Damn archery has come a long way in 40 years.
What a good instructor, he pays attention to all the details! At our pro shops only bows are sold, the explanation is minimal and it is simply said follow the user manual! luckily there are youtube channels where you can learn a lot. Maybe easy to write down this shot routine until it's baked into it. @Bow Disciples: Why is the bowmar nose button not recommended? what is your experience with this tool?
Awesome...I'm a lil intimidated....thought about getting a compound bow....I'm use to crossbows!...but was always curious, where can I find an instructor???
Southpaw shooting. Good instruction. And she is able to listen and adapt. It's not my style of bow or shooting but this is very good instruction for this type of bow and setup.
Great way to have guys watch information they think they already know by using effective eyeball manipulation techniques designed to have us click on this video. Watched it like 2-3 times, just to make sure I understood all the concepts she..I mean he...was teaching.

@@mattriffle8860 No, they bought bags of chips and candy from the vending machine. Each brought their own extra large Big Gulp cups with soda and crunched their way through candy and chips. I wish my local shop did this. They are too busy hanging with all their buddies behind the counter. I stood there for ten minutes and all I hear is cussing and laughing. I ended driving thirty miles to the next shop.
Or they act like they are better you than you. Then they find out your family owns 10,000 acres with antelope, mule deer, whitetail, elk, pheasant, quail, dove and rabbits etc. Then their attitude changes all the sudden. 🤣 Then they think I’m going to invite them out after going from asshole with crappy service to your pseudo BFF! 🤦♂️ Nope!! The first video of a shop owner I've ever seen that is showing the proper technique of using a trigger. AWESOME!!!!! The lady will do great.
Everyone in the crew uses a trigger properly 😜
There’s only 2 reasons why I clicked on this video. Besides, the lesson on how to shoot a bow.
2 reasons: the left and right.

An excuse to spend more time with her maybe.

I need this guy in my stand in the morning...he's legit.
Hahaha love this bro
Glad to see this shop taking the time to help others. Sad that other shops are more into $$$ than helping fellow archery people
