Good vid.... Bought my un-retouched, factory original '52 a few yrs ago & LOVE it! Love the unique design & high-quality manufacturing of the pistol; and the high velocity and ballistical features of the ammo make it a great range or vermin pistol. Quite a conversation piece among my firearm collection too! Plenty of on-line ammo available, albeit not as cheap as before covid....
Nice! It's an endearing gun--and it's really fun to shoot. I sold this one. At some point I'd like to get another one in a little better condition and see if the accuracy is any better. But can't argue with a powerful handgun that works every time. Thanks!
@@alvolante4164 Yeah, I have! I’ve thought about doing top 5 lists in various things. Right now, I’m focused on getting through a few more full reviews (on hipstertactical.com and TH-cam) and compiling that content into a book/books-which I’ll offer for sale via Amazon. I’m trying to monetize my efforts, in some way. That seems like the best approach. So, once I do that… I have a bunch of ideas for one-off videos, etc. thanks, man!
Thanks, my friend! Wasn’t familiar with the recuperator mechanism. Interesting. Read up on it a bit… does it just kinda assist the barrel in returning to battery? Thanks for teaching me stuff!
My Tokarev feels like a Ring of Fire knockoff of a 1911, but my CZ vz. 52 makes me think of 1950s science fiction movie ray guns. And I do have to respect the Czechs for their constant malicious compliance with Soviet mandates. My advice is don't sell yours. There are lots of ordinary guns. The vz. 52 is the one you meet in a Bohemian dive bar that you never want to forget.
Haha. Helluva metaphor, my friend. I agree-the 52 is a retro vision of a future that never happened. I already sold the gun. At some point, I’d like to get a nicer specimen and experience the gun in full effect. Thanks for the comment!

Historically and mechanically interesting, but the Tokarev is a little lighter, smaller in every dimension, stronger, and has the magazine release where you expect it. About the only other win for the CZ52 is not having the cheap and ugly safety added for import like the Tokarevs.
@@manimohabbatizadeh7583 The CZ 52’s recoil feels like a longer, slower “wallop”-but very soft and smooth. The P9S feels more direct, more crisp… and weightlessly smooth. Both are very comfortable shooters-but the P9S immerses you in the shooting experience like nothing else. Thanks!
@@PassivePortfolios I think the design could still be relevant today, with modern production standards-especially in hotter calibers like 10mm. The smoothness is certainly something that makes this gun special. Thanks!
The beauty of the CZ-52 is that even if you miss, your enemy will still get burned from the muzzle blast 💥
Great video!
Haha. That is true. The thing is a hand-howitzer. But as loud as it is... it's still a soft shooter. Which I love. Thanks!
@ as far as recoil, it reminds me a lot of .357 Sig.
I see you touched on the firing pins, a company did make machined ones years ago.

The MG42 analogy is spot on. ..Minus the recuperator mechanism in the MG.
