Hammers like Thor's typical work best with a long one but the trick gave Thor a big handicap in fights that he must look out for. I ask this because I remember reading this on wiki and maybe other stuff about Norse mythology. I thought they would also include this in the comics but I never came across it.

Marvel did a story from Loki's point of view (Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers) which shows Loki in a very tragic light. Basically, Odin raised him as a treacherous weakling, just to make Thor look better. It’s sad because all Loki really wants is to be accepted. It also shows that he has good reason for hating Sif (he cut her hair to spite her, not Thor). It’s a really cool book that I strongly recommend.

Thor said "you are incapable of sincerity" then Loki says he loves him but that didn't change anything. And the DELETED scene when Thor says that Loki will go with him to Jotunheim and Loki seems surprised that he's wanted in the group. All I want is him to be real so I can hug him and tell him everything is alright :(
