Emerging as a Mental Mobile Mechanized Organism Designed Only For Killing, he posed a terrifying threat to the world. Join www.WatchMojo.com as we explore the comic book origins of Modok.
Doesn't need the Hawkeye to make a headshot at MODOK.
Lavin Yoo lol I get it
@@darrentill22 wow you get it. such modok genius level. wowowowowowowowowowowwowowooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww
@@darrentill22 can you please explain I don't . You are so smart for getting it
Lol
If I met a villain like that then I wouldn't be able to take it seriously
I think the Marvel Studios' take would involve some Oz effects. He only has to look like a giant head once to please the fans; just look at what they did to The Mandarin in Iron Man 3.
MEE TTTOOOOOOO
sums up Donald Trump
Let's face it you would probably shit your pants
FridayNightFeels , when he used his mental blasts on you and made you roll over and bark like a dog, you would....
"Like a frost giant's head on an infant's body."-Thor
I just read what a Frost Giant is, and I've never done that to an ice cream sandwitch
Silence head!!!
(Atuma) the cabal
I still kind of want to see Modok in the MCU, just because it would be fun to see how the hell they'd pull that off.
Even so I'm guessing it'll be very ugly.
+Caleb Lantigua like modoc's face! XD
+Daniel Ryan If the MCU universe include MODOK, It could be made plausible by giving him a normal sized head *but* with a large mechanical attachment/permanent helmet around his head which contains bits wired to his brain which is attached to the floating chair he is in.
+Daniel Ryan I think they'll so something similar to Arim Zola in Winter Soldier, just an organic biocomputer. No floating head.
+i0rpheus Zola was already a character in the comics, who was also similar to Modok. He was a old Hydra guy in a computer, with a robot body. His face was in his chest, I think.
Stan Lee wrote him as this amazing flawed character, always being undone by his inflated ego and thin skin. Over the years he’s been portrayed as both a menace and a joke and I think our show is much more interested in exploring him as a human being. A human being who’s also a Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing! At the end of the day M.O.D.O.K. is a giant-headed, petulant, insecure, egomaniac with zero social skills.
- Patton Oswalt
Patton Oswalt as M.O.D.O.K.? I don't know if that's goofy or brilliant casting...
its like humpty dumpty on a rocket seat
fr
yes is humpty😛😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍
Totally not taken from Deadpool.
I don't see the problem
*****
Because you're making it sound as if you came up with that analogy by yourself.
The fun thing about MODOK is that noone takes him seriously yet they also can't stop using him, his look is probably just that iconic. So he actually makes a great recurring B-list baddie.
this is that one villain no one takes seriously
Ikr and plastic man is one of those heroes you cant take seriously
Jimmy McBuckets I still can't get over how flabbergasted THor is over the size of his head
Leon Chin His body still makes him look like a dope. But he shouldn't be underestimated. He could make a world destroying laser if he wanted. O_O
Tell me about it this freak show carries a serious wallop of power. He's a telepath, fires laser intellectual genius and can control metal meaning Iron Man is in trouble with this thing ( Sorry I can't say guy cause that would be weird)
+Haohmaru Of The Wind Everyone's Mom Hates Modok
Modok reminds me of Krang from the TMNT
Ikr
Same
Arnin Zola to me reminds me more of Kraang.
Earth's Mightiest Heroes, man I miss that show
Erisi Dlarit its where i learned about every character i love and adore
Erisi Dlarit that was the best marvel cartoon and made me get into avengers more
I do too
I like the meaning of modok's name
Mechanise Organism Designed Only for Killing
M.O.D.O.K hes also one of the greates villian with avengers level of threat
M.O.D.O.K should have been in Iron Man 3...
i agree
Phil Lewis 3*
He’s more of an Captain America villain.- So, I say Captain America 4? -
Least he is in Quantumania
well hes in the MCU now
"Fuck this shit!"
- Jeff Loveness (Quatumania writer)
I think of all villains this is the one that would have me shit myself most if I saw him.
Galactus?
Idk Carnage looks pretty horrifying
If MODOK appeared in the MCU, they should make him look somewhat intimidating, like decaying features, or something like that. In short, an appearance that would make him be taken seriously.
Wish granted.
@@ricardoortiz4870 Wait. What happened?
@@kidz4p509 MODOK will appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
@Ricardo Ortiz sure but he was nothing like this guy's fantastic idea. Instead he was a joke and lame. Aka, the modern mcu
@@mr.doctorcaptain1124 ha was joke, but like anyone else in MCU. Anc current MCU is no joke or lame
I’ve always thought MODOK had one of the coolest character designs in comic book history. I don’t think he’s ever been written to his full potential though.
If done right MODOK would be the opposite of the corny villian. He's a test subject that has become so grotesque and reality-warping powerful that the facility which created him started bending to his will. Could you imagine walking into the room of a MODOK who scared his creators into serving him... as they sheepishly do his bidding while completely understanding what he is, how he came to be and what could've been done to stop him...
There's also the angle that he's been corrupted so there's suffering, hatred, redemption, revenge, love (for science)... there's a lot of potential for emotion with the character as well. I'm picturing right now a seriously tortured MODOK that unnerves the viewer, someone filled with emotions but also a complete lack of humanity. I kind of wish that was real as I think about it right now.
It would most likely be one of the most unsettling environments you could imagine.
Modok is a character I'd like to see in the MCU. Not an Avengers move per se, but I think he'd work well in a solo hero movie or as an appearance in one of the tv/netflix series.
*well not netflix anymore amirite*
Your wish has been granted
@@kaylabennett5897 damn you beat me to it 🤣
The origin story in 90's Iron Man animated series was more sentimentally more tragic.
MODOK rules!!! One of my personal favorite supervillains!!
Mine too
Good! Fear me! Muhahahaha!
Question: who here has watched every single one of our Origins?
Now I never knew that his actual name was George Tarleton. Also the version that I'm familiar with in terms of origin, I believe he actually went with MODOC before MODOK. The C being for conquest and the K then evolving into killing.
Look at how they massacred my boy
i'd look if there was smth to look at
MODOK was the butt of every single joke back in the Iron Man animated series of the 90s. Seriously, and the fact that Jim Cummings was using his funny voice to play him only made things even more hilarious!
At least he died an Avenger
M.O.D.O.K is my favorite villain in all of Marvel Comics.
Mine is Doctor Doom
@@jhoslinpena4310 mine is venom
@@tibasproductions7267 technically Venom is an antihero, but yeah he is my second favorite Spiderman villain after Electro. We are Venom!!!
Wilson Fisk, Mysterio, Bullseye and Green Goblin are my favourites.
Oh, and Kilgrave.
"... are you a fan of this grotesque floating head?"
who's here after "avengers game modok trailer"???
Me!!!
Here after beating the campaign haha
熊姜御非 I’m in the middle of the game, this game is harder than I thought and I’m on normal, good game though.
Cinimodg02 I’m loving the game so far. Though some enemies are kind of tough to handle with haha
Me
3:56 I recently watched an episode of that Iron Man cartoon from the 90s featuring MODOK. That was the first time ever that I felt such sympathy for MODOK in my life! Beautiful origin story.
Fun fact modok was one out of four of the first villains I ever saw also I was introduced to marvel by super hero squad
Same here lmao
I don't think there's a villain that looks more terrifying than MODOK.
Can't wait to see this origin in Marvel's Avengers game with MODOK as the main villain and it would also explain why Cap was presumed dead in the game because of his jealousy towards him so he must of captured him or something to get him out of the picture cause Cap is the heart of the Avengers
How MODOK was created varies in series, games and movies. In the past series, he was created by AIM. In Marvel's Avengers game, he is George Tarleton, an Inhuman scientist given Captain America's blood to survive and become strong. In Ant-man and the Wasp Quantumania, he is Darren Cross after his suit's mechanism got trashed and his body physique became disproportionate while going subatomic, and found by Kang's loyalists to become the "ultimate weapon".
lol i love Wasp making fun of MODOK
BE SILENT!!!!
I came late years ago to first discover modok from marvel vs capcom 3 this brought me here but damn he needs to be in MCU I would love to see that
Your wish has been granted.

Who’s back here because of the new M.O.D.O.C.K series on Hulu?
The greatest media interpretation of M.O.D.O.K outside of the comic books will always be the Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes version. Avengers EMH also features the greatest media interpretations of Ant-Man (Both the Hank Pym & Scott Lang versions)Giant Man, YellowJacket, The Wasp, Whirlwind, & especially Ultron.
Given all the tech they have, why not just give him a giant robotic body to match the size of his head? It'd seem a lot more useful and practical than the wimpy limbs he's got now.
does he really need the limbs. I mean he's got telekensis and telephathy. He doesn't actually need to grab anything.
Still, it would help. Flying around in a rocket powered chair would be unorthodox and clumsy.
I could totally see that with a giant robot body wrecking havoc and when his robot body is almost destroyed he can eject from his robot head and go back to the chair flying thing
BikouTenma that would defeat the purpose of the character. MODOK represents what someone would be like if they depended on intellectual powers alone. His weakness is the human elements which include not only limbs, but a social aspect as well.
Comic book characters are not created to be the best possible villains/heroes, all of them have major flaws!

Who here is hyped about Hulu's Modok show coming in a few weeks??
What did you think of the show?
@@_dylansaeed I enjoyed it bro! Thought it was pretty good! Then again, I have a bias opinion because I love MODOK.
@@_NEWN_ yeah it’s a show where you have a split opinion
Hulu's MODOK animated series was epic. I need more MODOK in my life now.
I will win!
I will be remembered!
I will have a legacy!
I did this for you Melter!
So glad you made this video
modok looks like he should have been a Ninja-Turtles villian.
Came here because Peter Dinklage is suspected to play MODOK for MCU
Ultimately, trying to figure out who Dinklage is playing is difficult because we know so little about Infinity War. But if he is, that would be… interesting.
Oh Look Haha how wrong do you feel now?😂
He reminds me of Krang from TMNT.
i was thinking that too
Modok is so awesome and the best Mad Scientist ever.
I originally thought Arnim Zola as he appeared in The Winter Soldier was M.O.D.O.K.
But upon further research, I came to the conclusion that I was wrong.
Nkosi Tao rip imagine dr zola as modok in the mcu
They broke my invintion. They called me big head
I've never figured out why MODOK has legs on his suit. Arms, sure. But legs...?
MODOK is my favorite supervillain of all time!
Headshot for this dude is 90% Hit chance.
It's amazing how the Marvel Universe can have a supervillain like modok be so hideous, that he makes other Marvel villains look attractive.
modoc will be a villian in marvel avengers game😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
Modok has to be one of the silliest villains I've seen. If they put him in a movie, PLEASE have them improve his look siginificantly.
0:06 That is a very big head.
I loved Modok when I was a kid. He was one of my favorite villains just because he was so odd.
If he were in the MCU, he'd look like Hector Hammond from Green Lantern in a hover chair.
Finally I thought you guys stopped doing these :D
Who went here from the Antman trailer?
I like the design of the character with the tiny joints and flying around in that contraption.
This is Hawkeyes villain. He can just headshot him so easily
dietman, all I'm going to say is keep an eye on the WatchMojo channel tomorrow ;)
Who’s here after watching the M.O.D.O.K Hulu trailer?
That Thor clip at the beginning killed me. 🤣🤣
I miss comic book origin videos
I am the ultimate inhuman machine interface
You're gonna get your ass kicked in the new game
Fuck You I don’t give a shit at least I’m being remembered to new audience
He’s gonna be on the avengers game
Now in the MCU with Hydra gone I think its the best time to introduce A.I.M. , another secret organization seeking to take over the world.
Umm, Maybe I Am Again Showing My Age, But MODOK created the Cosmic Cube! Look at Namor #49 I believe. Create a Quantum Force Field for at least 48 hours and the power of a Beyonder will enter our realm. That power, is millions of times greater than our universe. But I will say, his goal wasn’t to destroy everything, he was just curious....
I love watching these.
Mobile Organism Designed For Only Killing......MODFOK!! i can see why marvel made the F silent
WAS WAITING FOR THIS!
I have a theory that Arnim Zola turns into M.O.D.O.K.
how? Arnim Zola already gets recreated into a robot body and even works side by side WITH modok. check out avengers assemble season 1 or the comics
But I still think he gets to be M.O.D.O.K. in the movies.
+Jarod Graal well gl w dat
+Jarod Graal no i dont want to see a flying head in a marvel movie
Killian was supposed to be mechanized and downloaded, then his extremis used to create modok.
In the new 2020 Marvel’s Avengers video game, ex-Shield scientist and A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics) CEO Dr. George Tarleton became MODOK after his overexposure to the Terrigen gas coming from the Terrigen crystal during the events of “Avengers Day,” or “A-Day,” and was given his terrifying powers from his assistant, Monica Rappaccini. His true intention since those tragic events was to eradicate and remove all superpowers from all the effected victims of the Terrigen gas-case-end-point referred to as “inhumans”-whilst tragically harming them in the process using a lethal antidote gas called “Dark Terrigen.” He vows to rid the world of all superpowers and replace them with technology.
Here after antman quantumania
In older comics you'd see a lot of big head genius characters like this
Imagine what M.O.D.O.K would be like in MCU
Wish granted.
If you read the comic as MODOK being a character like Invader Zim it does turn most of the encounters in to pure comedy
I like this comparison
I came across the mentioning of A.I.M in the Blade anime.
I agree learning about Eugene ''flash'' Thompson would be awesome.
I’d love to see him in the MCU, but I think maybe a different look would suit him. I understand a man with a large head isn’t too crazy when you consider a giant green raging monster and a purple titan from outer space, and not to mention a talking tree. But idk how well it would translate onto the big screen.
Good news is, MODOK will appear in Quantumania.
@@ricardoortiz4870 The fact that you commented this 4 years after my initial comment is hilarious. Especially since it's right before Quantumania. This made me chuckle
@@andy_playz6621 You said you love to see him so your wish has been granted.
great work. more please!
Who's in here after they watch Ant-Man quantumania trailer ?
That's exactly what I see him as! I am glad to know that someone else also does.
Who's here after the modok reveal trailer for the avengers game
He looks legit scary in that game...
He was the Avenger we needed
They said GotG 2 will feature a villian that's always in a chair . And it's either MODAK or Thanos but I doubt they'll use Thanos this early
And hearing the funny things Rocket & Starlord will say about MODAK I hope he's in it
Or maybe galactus?
According to rumours modok is the main villian of ant man and the wasp quantamania
I always thought he was an Iron Man villain.
Quite sure this is based on a real condition where a person is mostly head with a tiny body (not macrocephaly).
Are there any heroes or villains who have only appeared after 2000s?
+Andrejs Petersons
Several. They're just not as popular.
+Andrejs Petersons nah, only new costumes, rehashes, dimensions, and timelines of the same shit.
donbasuradenuevo Also shitty reboots. Most from DC.
+Andrejs Petersons Hush I think
+MastermindEpsilon Hush first appeared in 2003 so you are indeed correct.
Also, the Sinestro Corps.
