    I LIKE it! Just think how many guys who don't want to attempt spraying will try this. Everyone has an opinion about how things look, but there has to be a lot of Motor Heads that would rather buy a turbo rig or a new set of heads rather than a 6000 dollar paint job

    My first reaction was "Come on, Dan, give that thing a decent paint job"... But I thought about it awhile and realized Hey, it's your car, you can make it look however you like it! So more power to you!

    Dani is just a gem, Dan. What a treat! That 4 to 2 57 is sure hard to tell it was ever a 4 to a casual observer. That's the only way to go with a crew cab classic car.

    Good work. I really like your new front wheels. I am very much *not* a fan of the patina and rolling junk yard look, but I seem to be in the minority on that view. The VGG Clear Coat turned out good with a lot less effort that a spray on clear coat. I am looking forward to the next steps and see how this goes with an engine and trans, interior, etc.

    Love your videos, Dan. Keep the front bumper. The front bumper on a ‘57 is a lot of the car’s personality. Especially a Bel Air. Removing the bumper is like shaving the mustache off on Tom Sellick or Burt Reynolds.

    After watching many video's from all my subscription, one thing I learned is I will never buy a expensive bumpers ever again when I could make something myself that could look just as good or better. Pip bender and sheet metal, and a welder. When I own my step side truck back in the early 90s drove that truck around many year's with out a back bumper. I could never find one the size I needed that didn't cost a lot of money. At the time I never thought about making one.
    I finally got pulled over for a no back bumper ticket. Fix it ticket that still cost me to pay for the court cost. Some guy my brother knew gave me the right bumper I needed. Shortly someone later ran into my back bumper and the fender of my truck so I made it into a fleetside bed.

    Do not use trailer tires on the front. I unknowingly had one on my 57 and it blew out on me at about 50 to 60 mph. Did damage to the fender well. Bent my rim all up. Lost my hubcap and I could have been killed.

    • @zachhaag7854
      @zachhaag7854 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @patgallo4730

    • @zachhaag7854
      @zachhaag7854 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I know they are rated for weight/load and speed just like car tires not to say that that particular tire was properly rated for that vehicle but aside from tread design to shed water it's still designed to carry the load rating at highway speed otherwise you wouldn't be able to pull a trailer on a highway

    • @IronArmPanda
      @IronArmPanda ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zachhaag7854 You are correct, they just have higher weight/load ratings with lower speed ratings. But almost all tires are rated above 65-75mph. So, check your tires and everything should be gucci.
