You're right Dan, the thumbs up somehow make it all worth it. I get thumbs up and positive comments on my classics everywhere I go and it sure puts a smile on my face! BTW a big thumbs up on Nova Priced!!
Hay Dan that Nova brings back lots of memory's my brother and I built a 1965 Nova we had so much fun in them days i am pushing 73 now your videos are fun to watch you and your girl have fun stay safe
Congrats on the successful build! I put NovaPriced over the awesome Speedway Wicked Nova project because you build solo, at your home, in your spare time, with limited funding. Much respect. Enjoy Biloxi and all those shiny cars, you earned it!
People just don't get that there cars!! DRIVE EM. I took my 70 RsCamaro on a 4 month riadtrip across USA in 2017. 39 states 20,000 miles.worst thing had was a starter, CHEVY OF COURSE IT WENT OUT. it's a memory I'll never forget. rained on me lots in fact I spent 3 days crossing Louisiana in it southern rain. windshield leaked so what. I'm unable to travel far now due to health. BUT uour my fave channel on TH-cam. You and Dani. are great. DON'T GET IT PERFECT GET IT DONE. was my motto. just like you guys. keep up the fun.
Watching this I decided I'm going to do a gasser! I don't have car, I don't have the contacts and don't have a clue. On second thought I'll just stick to living vicariously through you two.😂😂
Dan, I live down in south Louisiana, I've been to the Mississippi Gulf Coast many times. Have fun, but don't get stupid with the Nova. Those Mississippi cops don't take too kindly to burn outs, and speeding, especially during Crusin The Coast. Y'all have a great time, love your videos.
WHOA! Dan, you're cruising a 70 mph and that 18 wheeler blew past you, not the America I remember! I'm watching you from Tahiti, I love watching you thrash, and especially the road trips, ...believe me, white sand beaches, coconut palms and the blue lagoon gets boring very quick..., stay safe.
Drive Safely and enjoy the ride! Hopefully will find the Nova somewhere on the streets there! Lol You do Look Noticeable a Little! Ha Ha..........Lots of Love for you two!
Meh, I knew it would do well but, I didn't know it would do that well Big D. What a machine. 14+mpg at 3krpm basically non-stop for 1800+ miles right out of the box. Hell, there's brand new cars that won't do that w/o an issue somewhere along the road. Here comes the best part of all. You don't need to take it to some dealership, drop your pants, spread the cheeks and grit your teeth when something does finally fail on it. Best of all, you own Nova Priced and you built it. WTG DD Speed Shop, a testimony to what hard work, knowledge and talent can do if you just invest a little time. CONGRATS on a fine work of art. The blower is going to put a LARGE smile on faces and Nova Priced is going to show you what she's been hiding under all that skirt.
Be safe you two. That car is just awesome. I hope to run into you all Saturday on the coast. My trip got cut short so only going to be there Friday night and Saturday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANI 🎊🎉🎂Great video. 👍😎✌️
All in I love that car Don't care what anyone says as long as you are happy you have not paid too much. Those folks are just p**sed they didn't have a chance to get that Nova. Great video of the road trip keep them coming.
Thankyou for sharing your journey Dan. The gasser is awesome. Keeping it running cool is the key to successful long trips. Happy Birthday Dani! 🎂🎁🎈 Have a wonderful day!
Brave Guy on fresh put together car on such a trip Made great video and a lot of your viewers got to see you on those gas fill ups mini car shows. Glad you share your experience on building and driving these cars. That's what its all about.
Thanks Dan for the journey footage, very appreciated 👍. Also, the '64 sounds good, looks good, and runs good, an awesome vintage race car for sure! I even like your '64 better than your friends gasser, GREAT JOB DAN on this gem!!! Thanks for the video 📸.
I'm gladyour driving a gasser 1800 miles. I'm going on power tour with my 64 dart gasser next year had trouble with the rear main seal on the new engine.
Now all that grief, ups and downs building the Nova are in your rear view mirror. Now you get to enjoy your road ahead. Safe travels and thanks for the ride. Happy birthday Danielle.
If you put a DD speed shop sticker on the scratch on Dani’s new birthday air/bug collector, she will not notice the scratches. Thanks for sharing, Dan. 👍🇺🇸
I've driven my 55 Chevy gasser on 2 rocky mountain race weeks. They're a blast to drive. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure. Can't wait to see some cruising the coast highlights.
My best friend had a 67' Chevy Chevelle SS with I want to say, 456 gears in rear-ended, blowing rear end up almost home from S. California to Oregon City! That car has been my favorite of all cars I've been around! Cool car dealer, house of hard tops, always having vettes had 59' Chevy, so we drove these 2 red beasts around with glass packs. But more interesting, I got call from Mr Honda from Japan asking to use my motorcycle 750cb to build 100cc oversized piston system for Honda shops across America. It didn't work out as well as I hoped, needing aviation fuel, so Mr Honda took bike back reduced compression from 12:1 too 10:1. Bike was wonderful taking it on around US trip! (Great story) I had a 71 Chevy Nova in ugly blue.
Hey, Dan: Thanks for posting this...we all really appreciate the effort it takes to do these.Looking forward to the next ones from down south. Also, that was a good jab at Mortske.Hope you and Dani enjoy the rest of the Great Gasser tour...all the best!
I'm planning on hitting cruzin the coast next year, hopefully. Man, people may give you shit about how you do things, but how many of them are driving their shit 1700 miles untested? Keep on keeping on man!
I thought man that scoop looks cool, then you pulled the hood down on it. I have to admit my heart sunk lol I thought no dan no lol . So glad your having a good trip. Love the videos.
1700 miles at 12-13 MPG, with gas at around $5.00 a gallon (that's what it is where I'm at) that's going to cost you almost as much as you have into the car. I'd take the rotor out of the distributor if you are going to leave it in the parking lot. Even then they could tow it. Car theft is WAY up in the U.S. Older trucks all had solid front axles. 4 wheel drive chevy trucks had a solid front axle through '87. Jeep Wranglers still have a solid front axle. I love that scoop. That's the same scoop I have on my 1993 Chevy S-10 with a 383, tunnel ram, and two Edelbrock 650s. I painted my hood gloss black, and that polished aluminum scoop really shows up. I had the hood modified by a body shop, so there are no rough edges around the hole. I hope you have the front screen cover and foam insert for it. I buy WD-40 by the gallon. It's about $20 for a gallon can. I still have 2 of the hot rods I built years ago. I haven't seriously worked on a car in ten years. To old, bad joints, arthritis, it happens. I would never try to drive one of those cars that far. They are loud, no real suspension to speak of, no A/C, no cruise control, uncomfortable seats, no cruise control, terrible gas mileage. For trips I take my 2007 Crown Vic non police model, very comfortable, V8, overdrive, 2.73 rear axle, cruise control, 2 ton car gets 32 mpg on the highway at 65 mph. Nice video, it came out good. Good luck and have fun. Wish I could still do stuff like that.
Is your first stop in Biloxi then move along from there? I am at the Alabama Coast Gulf shores area, Gonna head over to the Ms Coast and try n find you guys. Glad to see the Nova doing great! Happy Birthday to Danni!!
Good run ! My wife and I did 2150 miles (Ontario Calif to Joplin Missouri) in a 4000# straight axel, th350, SBC 400, nova rear end in a 1936 Chevy Sedan Delivery in 22 hours
Great video Dan!! I really enjoyed watching from start to finish!! Also, thank you for being an inspiration to the rest of us.......JUST DO IT!! Happy Birthday Dani!!
This whole series is awesome! Nova is mint and Dan’s a bad ass.
You guys should move to the United States, love to have you guys here, we love hot rods....❤
It needs a pro mod hood scoop. Everything needs a hood scoop. You know that Dan. Those are your words.
Congrats on the successful build! I put NovaPriced over the awesome Speedway Wicked Nova project because you build solo, at your home, in your spare time, with limited funding. Much respect. Enjoy Biloxi and all those shiny cars, you earned it!
Nova performed awesome. It is a cool ride for sure.

You are the MAN!!!!!
You have drove 1700 miles and I can’t get mine a mere 70 miles to CTC!!! Great Job!!! I’m enjoying your videos!!👍👍
U got all week! Slap it together
The gasser did great on that run and Dan's right a solid cooling system goes a long way to ensure that.
Happy Birthday Dani!🎂
Love it!!! Had a 63 Chevy II in 1975. Great car
Speedway museum is on a whole
Different level
Its amazing
Got to love Dani’s sense of humor❤❤
You mentioned an Audi or an Escalade. Well yeah, less comfortable, but that gasser is 10 times cooler. Happy Birthday Dani!
Watching this I decided I'm going to do a gasser! I don't have car, I don't have the contacts and don't have a clue. On second thought I'll just stick to living vicariously through you two.😂😂
Haha cmon! Get out there and build one
Should turn the scoop around in the rain. Wet paper filters can fall apart or make carbs run rich when wet
Dan you are turning into a rock star. Happy Happy Happy birthday Dani

Thanks for taking us with you on your trip. I'm sure you did get a lot of👍. The car did great, as I expected.
@Dan You can turn that scoop around for long downpours of rain. Those filters can get soaking wet, be sure to check them.
You are rock star ...those drag and drive events have nothing on you Dan!!
The nice thing about that scoop is you can turn it around, so with the opening in the back, it keeps ALL the water out of the carbs
@mikeburnett7028 like cowl induction. I have oftentimes wondered about the pros and cons of Ram Air vs Cowl Induction?
That little nova is road worthy for sure and looks cool doing it . Great video and Happy Birthday Dani .
Drive Safely and enjoy the ride! Hopefully will find the Nova somewhere on the streets there! Lol You do Look Noticeable a Little! Ha Ha..........Lots of Love for you two!
Thanks for sharing the ride Dan! Brings back memories of driving from New England to Texas over 40 years ago in a 73 Plymouth Duster!
Thats just a cool Ass Hot Rod !! What an Awesome journey.
Meh, I knew it would do well but, I didn't know it would do that well Big D. What a machine. 14+mpg at 3krpm basically non-stop for 1800+ miles right out of the box. Yeah it worked great!
I sure do love watching your adventures and you've motivated me multiple times to go work on my junk.
