    I am an avid advocate of magic loop! For whatever reason I can't stop myself from jabbing my wrists with dpns. I was also, coincidentally, looking to start sock knitting (bought needles and yarn months ago now). So when looking for yarn vloggers to play in the background during knitting and came across your channel I was so excited! Yessssss, thank you, double score. Can't wait to graduate myself up from basic socks to your more complex patterns, like those gorgeous "little black socks".

    I'm loving this series as I attempt to knit my first ever sock! I figured the I'm So Basic sock would be a perfect one for a sock beginner like myself! Thank's for creating these videos and easy to read patterns!

    This video is so detailed and helpful! I learned that cuff down is easier than toe up, so I wish I didn't give up so fast and change my pattern. First I'm knitting baby socks almost the same way and will be back to this one! :)

      Do you have any advice on how to scale the pattern down? I’m a new knitter working on my second pair using this excellent tutorial, but now my 4yo daughter wants a pair and I have no idea what to do!

    Hi thank you so much for clear instruction. I have a question I am a left-handed knitter.
    Can I throw my yarn with with left hand and still be correct with your pattern?
    Thanks Rene

    I am new to making socks I’ve made one pair. It was two at the same time on the magic loop.
    I really want to do this pattern do you think I could do two at a time? Do you have a video where you’re doing too at the same time?

    Why do we have to make it to an even number of stiches from the leg on? Would there be a problem later on if just kept knitting the leg with 63 stitches in stockinette?

    Thanks for this great series~ Getting ready to knit my first socks. Just wondering- once you do one gauge swatch, do you do additional ones when using different yarns for the same pattern? Thank you!

    Great video! Do you tend to do one sock at a time or two at a a time?

    I’ve never knit before, but I have crocheted. So, we knit 2 then purl 1. I’m confused by the purl. The purling videos I’ve watched wrap the yarn once but it looks like Summer is wrapping it a couple times. Is she doing a specific purl technique?

    • @dandarasilva8964
      @dandarasilva8964 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I believe it's because she is throwing the yarn with her right hand, so it looks like she is wrapping twice but it's just she moving the yarn from the back to the front.

    Question: I measured my foot and I'm 8.5". Should I make a Med or Lg sock? I was thinking Large but don't want baggy saggy socks

    • @kirstenz6113
      @kirstenz6113 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm having this problem too! I went with the Large, and they seem to fit fairly well! The heel feels vaguely big but the cuff and foot stay in place.

      Size is based on width of foot, not length. I’m a size 6, but knit a medium sock, because I have wide feet.

    I find magic loop confusing. I’m disappointed that all the videos use magic loop with no other options.
