One of the biggest issues is the limited range. Unlike gas-powered cars, EVs must be charged frequently, which can be inconvenient for long-distance travel.
Charging infrastructure is another concern. Not all areas have sufficient charging stations, making it difficult to find a place to charge your EV when you're on the go. This can be frustrating and may limit your ability to use your vehicle as freely as you'd like.
Maintenance costs are also something to consider. While EVs have fewer moving parts than traditional cars, repairs can be expensive due to the specialized nature of the technology. Considering these costs is important when deciding if an EV is right for you.

😂I now drive 3 years my EV. the funny thing is, that other people (mostly those who have never driven an EV) know how terrible EV ownership is!
By the way I will get a new car in 6 months……and guess what, it is an EV again. I must be a very stupid person!

I own an EV and not had these problems. I have plenty of fast and cheap chargers nearby but never visited any of them because I just plug in at home. I don't even plug it in every night because 620km of range lasts me about a week. I pay about 50 euro's for insurgence. 8 year warranty on the battery but because I don't need to charge it every day, the battery likely will outlive me. And battery prices are dropping so fast replacement cost 10 years from now won't be an issue. If you want real answers, ask EV owners, not people that keep making up excuses for not buying an EV. With $10/gallon fuel cost in Europe, fossil cars are getting a very hard sell.

I have an EV, charge it off my 10kW of solar panels. Just have to plug it in one or two days a week and that is plenty. Free fuel. Never suffer from range anxiety, just as I never worried about my hybrid running out of fuel. Yes, there may be charging infrastructure issues, but I just see that as an opportunity for good providers to fill and make a whacking great profit. All new technologies provide challenges that allow new business to evolve. It sounds to me that this piece was written by ChatGPT.

I have had my EV for five years and have never had an issue. I have only needed to use a fast charger twice and it was not an issue. I used the fast charger during lunch and lost no time. The only thing I agree with is that the infrastructure needs improvement to encourage more people to get into EVs. Any new tech will need new infrastructure. We know EVs work really well and are practical, it is time to start accelerating the buildup of the infrastructure.

Range anxiety was invented by anti ev activist. I have owned an ev for 18 months. Never had "driver anxiety or range anxiety. I have never charged outside home, so I do not care if there is a charging g=network or not, I have "stations at my sons homes, and at home.
If you did not know there is a charging network STANDARD an it is called NACS.

"The Reality Of Living With An EV That Nobody Talks About" Number one: Range anxiety... Yeah if there's one thing no one talks about when it comes to EVs it's definetly range anxiety. It's not like it's the number one thing people unfamiliar with EVs worry about. Same goes for charging infrastructure.
