Edit: the more I think about it the more I realize Indian film Heros and Heroines are not nearly as brash as those in indie films. They are more cookie cutter really

and My soul opened up like a petal of sunflower.
      *You blossomed like a flower,
and the aroma intoxicated me thus trapped my heart.
      *You flowed like a wind,
and my heart flew with you like a grain of sand.
*You glowed like the first rays of sunset,
and I blushed like a red cloud of the evening.
      *You shone like a moon,
and my restlessness rised up like a tide of ocean.
*You slept in my unseen dreams,
and I was sleepless on your imagination.

"we grow old chasing the truth we knew as children" isn't even bad. it's an interesting, intriguing concept, albeit one that has been explored in many different forms. the execution is just plain lazy. this is more similair to a tumblr post from 2014 than to an actual poem. it's just a sentence with no structure at all and kind of leaves the "work" to the reader, who has to wonder what meaning was even intented by the author with only a one-layered, simple sentence as a clue to what it could possibly mean.

They just end abruptly like those people who make a good point and then say, "But you're not ready for that conversation." 😑

Pov: You're the quirky, bookish type of girl walking into the library. Not to actually read anything, just to sniff the books and rave about that book smell to frightened employees.
You sniff a book of poetry...you feel Atticus's sincere warmth. A hand taps your shoulder, preceding a deep, masculine voice. "Excuse me, miss..."
The love is too strong! You shut your eyes, thrust round and kiss him on the lips. You open your eyes.
The man was a police officer. "Miss, you have defied the restraining order, ignored staff warnings, made library visitors uncomfortable and tried to seduce an officer. You're under arrest."
But you let him take you. It's nice to be wanted by someone. ❤
