      Do you offer scanning 3d scanning of an object for a fee?

  • @UncleJessy
    @UncleJessy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Those might be some of the best 3D Scans I’ve ever seen. Small objects+details are notoriously hard to capture. That price tag 😳 def for the business professional vs the hobbiest but gah damn is that impressive

      Yeah I'm very impressed with it and how well it works. I have used other scanners and they just don't work with small stuff like this.

    Great review - I had mine since Christmas - I’ve been scanning miniatures, mirroring and reposing them to print out variations. Once painted, these are indistinguishable from the original ones. And give me great variety in my units.

      Yeah it really does a great job at scanning parts. I have a space marine that I scanned and printed that I sent off to some one to paint and you can't tell it was not the real thing

    Would there be any way to scan several parts of an object, and then digitally "knit" these scans together for an overall larger scan than the 80mm max?

    • @GomeowCreations
      @GomeowCreations  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I believe you can do that to a point. It does have to fit in the scan arm and be able to move around on it without it hitting the frame of the scanner

    This scanner is awesome, but $6,000 is way too much for hobbyists like myself. I''m excited for the day the tech advances far enough for the price to come down to something everyone can afford.

    • @GomeowCreations
      @GomeowCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah sadly this is still is the business only area of things due to that pricetag. I'm sure the tech will come down in price over time like it always does but I just don't know how long that will take. 😁👍

    • @broncofun5636
      @broncofun5636 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is relatively cheap - other scanners that go down to this level of detail sell for $20,000.

  • @LS3D_Printing

    Seriously looking into buying this. I 3D print a ton and I make files from scratch. So being able to scan something, and have it help me build off of it 1-1 seems to be extremely beneficial instead of scailing back and forth 30 times.
    Being completely honest with me. What do you like and not like about it! I'll be more than happy to purchase it through the link you sent too, as it can help everyone out! But 6k isn't that bad for what you are getting out of it. ( At least in my field)

    • @GomeowCreations
      @GomeowCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Creality has nothing to do with this 3d scanner. This one is from a company called Thunk3D and is nothing like the CR Lizard 3D scanner.
      As for you waiting your yours lit looks like that are dealing with some legal problems with that scanner so things have been delayed. In the last interview from them they said that they will be shipping the CR Lizard to all the backers once all the legal stuff is taken care of.
      This does really suck and I feel bad for all the backers that are waiting for this.

      @@GomeowCreations yes sir or ma’am I understand that but man this was a lifetime major item. Only the capabilities and intuitive things on a consumer based market was going to make a lot of artist do things unbenouced to the world. I have talk to various people with different agendas with the machine. I feel this would have made the tech world explode. But now I feel by the time it’s announced it will be over saturated.
      I also watched the last announcement and live as well, it’s just the anticipation hurts. The live Creality made may have gotten tons of ideas from the consumer and were only going to grow massively, as we the consumer was allowed to get complete answers on the product at hand. I most importantly appreciate your review of these products and your artistry thank you
