  • Mole is the newest 3D scanner by 3DMakerPro, a great little scanner for mid-size objects. Best results we can get if we use it in combination with a turn table (available in premium or luxury kits).

    Scanning in handheld mode requires some practice and an object rich in geometry, so those 200x100mm frames can be connected with each other.

    I find 3d scanners so neat and I've been tempted to get one for a while now, but I just can't think of something I'd actually use it for. That still may not stop me hahaha

    Amazing, the scan of your daughter looks promisingly good. Shes such a sweetheart. Id like to know how much better is the shining sp compared to this. Probably the Einstar is a better fit

      I have Einstar in the box, waiting for the review. Video in 1-2 weeks..

    Great video, can I ask have you tried scanning any toy cars? That is something I would purchase this for straight away but not sure if it will be any good for those

    Hey how do you think that scanner would work for scanning lets say a person's knee, or a person's hand....? foot?

    Hi, thank you very much useful contents, I need to buy a scanner to scan small electronics parts, dimensions from few millimeters up to 150mm by 150mm parts (so my parts are not that big overall), I really need dimension accuracy is possible up to 0.1 or 0.01mm. What scanner you would recommend? Thank you.

      Probably not 0.01 mm but Revopoint Mini or Creality Lizard, they are great for smaller parts if you use turntable.

    Would adding some dots to the red toy have helped with the scanning?

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, this object is hard to scan, it has similar elements and confusing the software. Adding random markers helps, but this was advertised as scanner which don't need markers. I was curious if it can scan without them.

    I read somewhere that it eats massive amounts of memory. Did it maybe run out of RAM when it crashed? (Task monitor should be able to confirm)

    Its really great that you can scan humans without harm, but yes, standing still for head scanning can be a chore, even us adults have no patience. Great looking kids Igor! Does the scanner get hot to hold?

      Thx. I can hear some fan inside, but during the testing, no noticable heat.

    Did your antivirus flad the software when you tried to install it? Mine did and now i am wary.

      It wasn't happy to run .exe file but after confirming, it was installed. Risky when running exe files from unknown sources.

    I must admit that it exceeded my expectations. I wonder how well free phone apps perform in comparison.
    If I may, I'd like to make a suggestion for a future video/videos. I'd be very curious to see your comparison of the mechanical properties of 3d prints which have either gone through remelting in salt (as demonstrated in these videos th-cam.com/video/DyAKtS1b3SQ/w-d-xo.html , th-cam.com/video/nRLJ4ylGTFc/w-d-xo.html), or printed with settings as described in this video th-cam.com/video/9qb25Gi4Jv0/w-d-xo.html (with the goal of being durable, rather than being transparent). Both these methods seem to produce quite durable prints, with the salt remelting method requires some not insignificant prost processing work, while the "transparent print settings" method leads to very long print times. I think it'd be very valuable to know just how durable prints these methods produce, and how they compare to each other, and you make great tests! I think it'd be very interesting to see the regular trio of PLA, PETG and ABS. Additionally I think it'd be interesting to see an extra durable filament, such as Prusament PC Blend (being not to difficult to print, and not to abrasive for the nozzle). Such tests would of course require a lot of work, but maybe it'd make for a good series of videos? In any case, looking forward to your future videos!

      I know about that salt annealing process, but I have a lot of other plans for the video topic currently (beside product reviews). Trio, in the future, but here is a duo: th-cam.com/video/ggMkfHMlzsE/w-d-xo.html (but with regular printing method). I have to do annealing Polymaker PA video, since according to comments, it significantly improves mech specs, especially the creeping, since here it was weak. Anyway, thx for the ideas, I am collecting them for the future videos.

      @@MyTechFun Thanks for the reply! I'll stay tuned and look forward to future tests of mechanical properties!

    Argh, I can never seem to remove my turntable. You seem to do it with ease at 5:31. Frustrating!

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You must scan in turntable mode and do the initial without object (then it knows there is a turntable and it is easy to remove it)
